It is not a motorcycle, and the designation creates a whole new level of complications, when all I have ever wanted to do is ride the scooter around the neighborhood, and enjoy being out in the fresh air. I have just successfully concluded the effort to re-register the scooter as a moped, which it very obviously is. It has a 49cc gasoline engine, has no external shifter device, and has a top speed under 30mph. The office personnel in the Waynesville license plate agency office have been most helpful in this effort, which involved an inspection by an agency inspector, and re-registering the scooter as a moped. The effort has been successful, thanks to the endeavor of all of the state agency personnel involved, and I wish to thank each of them for helping to straighten this situation out, and get the scooter registered as the moped it properly is. Great team effort, nice people to deal with and a successful conclusion. Win, win, win!

As you increase the pulling capacity, so does your bill. I watched one man guess a max hauling weight for his truck and his fees (Highway Use) came to almost $950. The next guy dropped his weight to as low as possible and said he was only hauling wood for the winter... Final cost for new license plate and registration of older vehicle: $204 Choice of license plates: First in Flight, First in Freedom, In God We Trust You will receive your registration at the time of the visit. The clerk employee asked me if my address was correct as listed. I said no that's a mistake. I gave her the correct address for the seller. She never asked for mine although I have my ID out. I assume she got it off-line. When I got done and got home I realized that she put the same address both for the seller and the buyer. I called immediately and informed her she said she would not be back later that week. But Justice top in and they would correct it. The next person I got at the clerks office seemed to be upset at me for causing her to figure it out. She ended up going to her supervisor and asking a bunch of questions as she did not know how to proceed. Anyway, long story short I felt like for the money, I'm spending on the taxes on the boat.
