I contacted Kyle to ask if there was any possibility the water could have come In Through the roof. He said he would get back to me. Later that morning I contacted the power company to request inspection of the electric meter. Before I heard a response from the power company, Mark from Honest Abe texted me to tell me he was 90 minutes away and was coming to inspect the roof. I told him we could wait until I found out if the meter had a gap that could've let the water in from the side of the house, but he said he wanted to come and check it out and make sure everything was in order. He didn't have to do this, but he came and inspected the roof which was as expected fine. He did find, a nearly half-inch gap around the electric meter, which is where the water came in during the storms. Mark went to the local hardware store bought a sealant, came back and sealed the area around the meter and checked the inside circuit box to make sure that the water was minimal and it was safe. None of this had anything to do with the roof and yet he insisted that it was an easy fix And resolved the problem. This is a quality company who provide a quality service more importantly, if there's even a question about whether there might've been a problem with the roof stand installed, they sent their technician out immediately, and the gentleman solved an unrelated problem. The price was higher than what I was quoted by another company, but I decided to go with Joel. That's when the trouble started. I wired over Joel the money and he told me I was on schedule for Sept 1. When nobody showed up for a few days, I called Joel and no answer. He finally returned my call on Sept 19th and told me his son, Nick would be at my property first thing the next day. Then a no show again. I finally asked for my money back and sure enough his son Nick finally came out. I had asked Joel to clean my south fence line because i wanted to have a new fence installed. There was patches of vegetation left along the entirety of the fence line. I had specifically requested the fence line to be cleared for the new fence, but Joel basically ignored what I had asked. I wouldnt call it professional work at all. My neighbors had better luck with Joe McGrady excavating. It really helps to research your contractor in the County you live before doing business with them!

There was a quick response as to when they can come out and inspect. I had a gut feeling when the female rep over the phone had asked how old my roof was that they were planning on trying to sell me a whole roof repair quote. But I gave them a chance and have them inspect and take a look. 2 men pulled up on the driveway and introduced themselves. I allowed them to go ahead and inspect. The inspection took awhile so I knew then they were inspecting the whole roof and not only the problem area I addressed only. When they were done with the inspection the sales manager I believe gave me a folder pamphlet with papers and quotas of 2 price point. He gave me a FULL ROOF REPAIR quote. And not a SPOT REPAIR that I anticipated. He mentioned having the insurance come up to cover costs and also perhaps deal with legal action if insurance do not want to cover. He then mentioned he knows a "legal" person to contact if I needed it. That part of the volunteered info in my opinion I knew I need to find another company to deal with my issue. When I asked him - If he can just fix the issue I need to have fixed he blew it off and had no answer. I knew then this company only deal and want FULL ROOF REPAIRS from customers if not they feel its a waste of time I guess. He stated to me he will email the pictures they took of my whole roof so I can show the insurance company. I NEVER received those photos up to this day. They probably perhaps do good roof work via reviews on here however I think they only deal with FULL ROOF REPAIRS and not partial or spot repairs. I got my roof repaired elsewhere.

The roofers arrived focused on the project at hand. The first day the shingles and damaged boards were removed, new boards were placed on the roof and the protective barrier applied. It is so cool to drive down our street and see our new beautiful roof! I am so happy that I made the decision to get this repair done now. We're just a few weeks from storm season here in Florida, and the damage around our chimney was extensive. The work extended to actually repairing rotten decking and below that, the actual rafter frames needed to be sistered with new wood to restore it to a secure set of rafters. The men were efficient and workmanlike, breaking only for lunch and one run to the lumberyard to get more wood, and another sheet of steel. Other than that, the Gage had made a good estimate and most of the materials were ready for the work. We are now considering a full roof replacement due to new understanding about the poor quality of the initial roof installation. I recommend A3. I invited them to bid the replacement, although I have not yet heard what the final amount would be.
