From the start, they took the time to understand how our family actually uses the apartment -- something no other firm we spoke with bothered to do. Their team handled everything from the co-op board approval and DOB permits to the design and construction, so we had one team to communicate with throughout. The finished result feels like it was always meant to be this way -- modern and functional but completely respectful of the building's original character. Having one of the partners directly involved in our project gave us a level of confidence we didn't expect. Cannot recommend them enough

In my experience CostCo prides themselves on researching and vetting their business partners, and their selection of The Shade Company is no exception. In this particular instance, I had a large custom window to dress and a completely blank slate. I wanted to engage with the space's natural light, and have a simple yet modern look that functioned easily and well for privacy. Oren, Iris and the rest of the Shade Company team were extremely helpful, professional, accommodating, responsive, and informative. Bought a bedding set for a sale price…read more When I contacted them to check the eta as I hadn't heard anything they told me the price I bought it at was not correct and I needed to pay an additional £75. They also told me that they were "just about to contact me about it" which I find hard to believe. They then proceeded to ask to cancel my order. Really upset and quite bad abrupt customer service. I would not recommend buying from this company as they do not know how to treat there customers appropriately. They offered me "additional items" and booja chocolates to be sent with my order if I didn't want to cancel... the boOna chocolates were already included in the original order and who knows what these "additional items" were. I presume they would not be worth the stress and the money being taken/held from my account for a number of days without any contact. Also the items were advertised as on sale, it's January so I assumed it was a January sale. I told them they were on sale but they said they had no record of this... even though my order went through and I had an email confirmation , money left my account and I had the shop app with tracking set to take place. Super strange. I would avoid this company at all costs as I can only imagine what it's like trying to return something or quibble anything with them that you might not be happy with, they will not budge and will not help.
