I don't think I've ever hired anyone to do any kind of a job that would not come back out and fix their mistakes. I had Dreamcrete come out to my house to give me a bid for a stamped concrete driveway. A gentleman came out and was very thorough. When I asked him about removing the entire driveway, he was adamant that it didn't need to be done. He said our concrete had been there for a while and was done settling and there would be no need for that. I've worked with concrete in New Jersey in the past and I know it does crack, but he assured me that they cut into the cracks in the existing concrete and seal them. He also stated that because we don't get the cold weather here and the bonding used, it would not crack the stamping, He said they would be able to go right over the existing driveway. I reiterated about the cracking, considering they only put a 3/8 inch thin set over top of the concrete and that I was afraid it wasn't strong enough to hold the weight of vehicles, but again he assured me that it will not crack. He told me they've done this type of job before, including for Disney. Once they completed the job, it looked extremely nice. But, they put the expansion joint in the wrong place and had to come back and chip up the right side and redo it and re-cut the expansion joint.  While they were there, I showed them some of the cracks that were already coming through, which was only 5-6 months after the job was completed. They said they would reach out to their boss and get back to me. Once they left, I never heard back from them. A month later, I started seeing a lot more cracks, so I called them again. They sent someone out to look at it. He noticed how bad it looked and understood why I was upset and took pictures to send them to the boss. The boss said concrete is going to crack. I told him about the conversation I had with the estimator about him assuring me that it would not crack. His answer was that he no longer worked with the company. He continued by saying if I wanted it to be fixed, they could redo the entire driveway, but that I would have to pay them to redo the job. At that point, I already paid them almost $20,000. Since then, I've noticed the last few months that the stamping is now peeling away from the existing driveway and every time I blow off my lawn, I'm finding more and more pieces that are separating. Even when the cabinet company sent me one wrong cabinet door Eran made sure when the new one came in his crew was there to install even after the rest of the job was completed. And it is important to note that his estimate was what I paid and not a penny more like other contractors.

I wanted to make sure that I was getting an apples to apples quote based on real plans. They were very responsive when they were trying to earn my business but once I signed on the dotted line they were very slow to respond. As time went on I had to constantly call them to get status updates. They breached the contract when they couldn't get permits filed on time. They had no idea what they were doing... I constantly looked past their deficiencies thinking that things would eventually get better but they only got worse. After permitting was completed they then tried to raise my estimate by over 60 thousand dollars. Huge bait and switch! I then decided to cut ties and get the remainder (minus permitting costs) of my deposit back. I was told multiple times that I would get a refund but I haven't seen any money back after months of requests and back and forth e-mails with the incompetent CEO Michail Zalkind. All I can say is run away from this company they have no idea what they're doing.

I would recommend avoiding VP Remodeling for the following reasons:…read more- They require a 50% down payment up front and they press HARD to get you to pay as soon as they are done so you don't have time to find their mistakes. - The owner is incredibly unresponsive and will not own any mistakes by the crew. - There is uneven tile throughout the house I can do nothing about. - The grouting was incomplete at many locations, just gaps between tile. - The showerhead was not secured and wobbles. - The shower worked before they got there, and did not after they finished the shower. I was only able to get them to do that because although they pressed hard to get payment right as they were leaving, I held the final payment until they came back and fixed it. They left an unpainted drywall patch in my newly installed drywall. - They broke a tile during installation and just left the pieces in the closet where they didn't expect me to see it until they were paid. - Shelves were installed in properly and wobbled, one eventually fell and replaced, had to reinstall the shelf fittings. - The drain they installed clogs up constantly so that water fills the shower, never had a problem before. Overall, it was a subpar job for a relatively cheap price. I only used them for tile, hopefully they are more apt at other services the claim to be able to provide. However, with them not offering to do a walk through and trying to get offsite and the way they pushed on getting final payment immediately after finishing (as in, still packing up their tools), I would have been left with over $1,000 in repairs on a less than $10,000 job if I had not held back the final payment. Do yourself a favor and find an honest contractor that takes pride in their work and owns up to their mistakes.

This is a kitchen & bathroom reno + flooring for my 750 sqft apartment. I selected my materials at their warehouse during my design session. What was supposed to be a 4 week job is now coming up to 4 months. The majority of these photos are from the final walkthrough June 3rd, 2025. You will see: Mis-match color cabinets installed, which are also not aligned, Incorrect countertop installed, using scrap pieces, Backsplash grout already cracking, Missing hardware for cabinets, Microwave cannot open entirely, and the outlet does not work, Required GFCI outlets missing - major safety hazard, Incorrect color & style bathroom floor tile installed, Mis-match shower tile installed, Shower niche missing, Grout in shower already cracking, Shelving in bathroom vanity missing, Baseboards unfinished and completely missing in areas, Incorrect color LVP flooring installed, Back door hinges are missing screws - major safety hazard, I caught the back door open one night (who knows how many times that has happened), Open wiring in the attic - major fire hazard, These are ONLY the materials & issues that have not been corrected along the way. There were plenty more issues. Addressing them with the owner did not help. Used materials installed from previous jobs without consent (verbal and physical evidence of this). They have requested all invoices early/ before they were due. The 3rd draw was requested early 4 times. On the 4th request personally from the owner, I paid early under his confirmation that cabinets would arrive in 2 days. It took a few weeks before the cabinets were installed, and installed incorrectly. It took another 6 weeks to 'correct', and at the final walkthrough, they are mis-matched colors, not all have shelving, and they are unaligned.

Especially Wes who was our point of contact from the start. Wes answered all of our question, was honest and helpful from the get go. Highly recommend working with him or anyone else on the team. The work that was done was beautiful, the bathroom turned out exactly as we imagined it and we can't really ask for more than that. We were interrupted twice because of hurricanes which delayed the work but no one can help that. The biggest issue we had was communication from the team. From what I understood, TEK utilizes third party contractors to do specific jobs like drywall, electric, plumbing, etc. So some times people were coming on days we were told no one was coming. Some days we were told someone was coming at 8 and they'd never show. The reason that was most frustrating was because we had to plan our day around when a contractor would be home, like our daughter's nap schedule, our dog's potty schedule, and even our work schedules. We're lucky enough to have a ton of flexibility but if we hadn't, that really would've dragged the project out. Other than the communication about when the team would be coming though, I have no complaints about TEK or the work that was done. I think the communication bit is an easy fix and I do understand the hurricanes made it especially difficult some weeks. Overall: we got a beautiful bathroom done for a great price, the TEK team was great and the only issue we had was some miscommunication.

We had a few caulking and paint concerns after installation which they were quick to schedule remediation for (see above). The windows are NOT impact windows, but hurricane rated up to 140 MPH with .21 SHGC, UFactor .3, and Air Leakage .3 or less, and Low E Argon gas (i.e., energy efficient). Purchaded 6 single hung, double pane, tempered glass of various sizes for less than $8K. It was not the cheapest or most expensive quote. Liked the lifetime guarantee (free glass repair, free screen repair, free re-caulking). The 1-YR guarantee is super specific and thus hard to get i.e., includes whether the othet company has lifetime written guarantee, lendth of business, BBB rating, NARI status, etc. Overall, we are satisfied with the purchase, process, and communication. We will be excited to see how well they age. We would recommend the company based on our previous interactions with the company.
