I paid the service charge of $85.00. When he returned with the part, I was charged another $85.00 for a service charge plus the cost of the part. I explained I understood the service charge to be a one-time charge not a charge for him to come out and another service upon returning to install the part. Everyone else I contacted informed me there would be a one-time service charge to include coming out to diagnose the problem and if they had to return because a part was needed. We negotiated the amount and I paid $125.00. The following day, I tried the printer only to discover the roller he installed was still not grabbing the paper. I called Dan and he told me he would come out the next day. The next day came, and Dan did not show or call. I called him again; he apologized and informed me he would come out after 5pm. Again, another no show. I am extremely dissatisfied with the lack of communication and honesty, not to mention the out-of-pocket expense of $210.00 for a printer that is not working. I would caution anyone who is considering utilizing the services of FixitNow to think twice and make sure you get the particulars in writing. Then suddenly, while watching a show, POOF that was it ... TV was off. I had been to The Video Hospital years prior with a different TV, similar sort of issue, sound yes, but no image. The first experience was simple, straight forward, no nonsense, fairly priced. I called again, Eddy answered, they're open M-F 9a-7p, no charge for diagnosing. No charge for diagnosis, "WHAT?!" Where can you find that in 2026? You've got nothing to lose. I dropped off at 6pm on Friday, at precisely 11:11am on Monday Eddy called me with his diagnosis & price quote (extremely fair), and with my approval he'd have it ready for pickup in about :30 mins. It's rare to find this kind of service, pricing and turnaround anymore ... I'm incredibly grateful to The Video Hospital, and would recommend Eddy to anyone trying to avoid throwing away a still-good TV and unnecessarily buying a new one - we throw away too much good stuff. To get the TV in and out the store they use a boggie type that could easily scratch your TV, not to mention the the uncomfortable parking space. I would not recommend this place at all, there's better options out there.
