I'm really sad that I have to post this review, but this business owner is super dishonest with the way he quotes his work. I would not recommend getting work done here because the price you pay here is not honest of the market value, by A LOT! I recently was in a car accident and Nissan of Van Nuys referred me here for the body work on my car however I'm beginning to wonder the honesty of the dealership and this body shop. The owner seemed kind but when he gave me the quote it was 1900 and everyone else I was quoted by was 750/800, which means his quote was super high and very disappointing! I'm all about businesses making money but this quote is too insane to not share with other people looking to have their car fixed. Ruben this is NOT OKAY. To be quoted and 1400 of it was labor for a simple paint job...insane! Especially for a Nissan. Honesty is the best policy and this is not a place I trust and nor should you. read more

At the end of January, another driver veered into the front right side of my car causing over $3k in damage. Knowing the insurance company would total the car, and due to both it's sentimental and intrinsyc value to me after all the blood, sweat and dollars poured into it - I took it back to Ruben. The estimate was very fair, the work was perfect and the time it took to repair the car and get it aligned up again was very fair. I recommend Ruben and DM Auto Body to anyone as the team is amazing. If you're calling into DM, I'd recommend asking for Ruben. When I worked with him and DM in 2017, he was great. I recently had my sideview mirror sideswiped off my car and called for an estimate and the woman I spoke with was unable or unwilling to give me any kind of an idea as to how much it might cost or how long it would take. She repeatedly insisted I needed to bring the car in for her to know. After this frustrating phone call (I'm avoiding driving the car more than necessary because it's currently unsafe to drive), I called Twins in the same neighborhood and the gentleman there was able to give me the info I needed. My cars was parked on the street when struck by another car. The driver had the integrity to leave me a note taking full responsibility, had his insurance company make arrangements to repair it. They suggested DM Auto Body, 10 minutes from my home. Reuben and Alicia were totally professional, did the job beautifully in a timely fashion even when discovering more damage once the work was done. Really shoddy work. Went there to get my car fix and what should of have been a red flag was when the "manager" Ruben asked me what I would like to get fix?! Ummm, how about the area that got hit?!?? I had to point out and pretty much do his job on showing him what needed repair! When I got there to pick up my car, Ruben showed me what they did. Painted the bumper, pulled back a panel and shined up my headlights. After that I had to show him what he didn't do. Fix the alignment from the bumper, the quarter panel, and the hood to the headlight. There was a big gap between the. Bumper and the head light. You could probably fit a finger that how bad it was. The paint was not blended in. By that I mean. The bumper had brand new paint and the quarter panel, the hood and the grill was not touched. Pretty much looks like a farmer tan. The quarter panels had scuff marks and scratches from when they "TRIED" to align it. Pretty much looked like a high school auto class job. I am no auto body repair guy by far but this is the worst job I have seen. Ruben then told me that I only pointed the bumper out,that aligned and the headlights were worked on as we talked about. He still didn't get the point that this was by far a finished product and should be embarrassed for let a car leave in this shape. Please save your yourself time and money and don't go here. This was a complete waste if my time and now have to get this redone by "Professionals" that give a crap of what they do! read more

Highly recommend this auto body shop to get your vehicle repaired. My brand new car was pretty beat up, requiring a new windshield and other parts to be replaced. Reuben was quick to order parts and they arrived the following day. Just amazing how fast he got to work and repaired my vehicle within a couple of weeks. 5 stars for a great job on the car, a Nissan Altima in black. We were hit on the right side from back to front and it looks amazing now. It took almost 2 weeks to finish it, which was really surprising and somewhat frustrating, probably because of insurance coverage approval, then ordering the parts, the July 4th holiday, etc. The only thing that's bothering us is the screw on antenna is missing. Pete said he'd send us photos to show it was already missing, but wasn't able to use the email address. Am hoping now for a good result and a quick reply. read more

I went here for an estimate and suspect that once the guy saw my car, that he decided I could afford the outrageous cost of repairs I was quoted. Basically, I was quoted $1200 for something that 2 other shops quoted be $650 for. After giving me the quote and discovering I wasn't going through insurance, he said he would take 20% off the total....but I'm confused as to why going through insurance would impact the cost of repairs? He said something along the lines "I could make it an even $1,000 and if you go through your insurance company it would be $500 each." Anyway, I obviously didn't go through with the repairs, so I can't say anything about the quality of their work; however, I can suggest that you go to several other body shops in the area for an estimate. I may drive a nice car, but that doesn't mean I'm a dummy who just throws their money away :). read more

I HIGHLY recommend this body shop especially if you drive an Infiniti since they are the contracted body shop for Miller Infiniti. Reuben was incredibly helpful in dealing with all my insurance company headaches and making sure I wouldn't be stuck with the bill to get my car repaired correctly. Nobody likes getting their car fixed at a body shop and dealing with insurance companies. I've gotten in three accidents this year (none of them my fault) and I thought I knew the drill in getting my car repaired quickly. However, this time the guy who hit me had an insurance company that just gave me the runaround and my insurance company was not helpful in the least in making sure my car got fixed right. I have to say Reuben was more helpful than my insurance company and the turnaround was quick and my G35 looks great! I couldn't be happier with the service provided by DM's Auto Body. I met Noe one of the reps who noticed some recent scrapes on my new car. He offered me a fair quote and we arranged a Saturday to have the work done in one day. I even spoke to the manager Ruben, he confirmed how their shop can pull this off in a short time. I've had past work done at other places where you have to get a rental car and 5 days later the job will be done and for a much higher price. DM's has special heat ovens to dry my paint and have repaired all in one day. They even provided a shuttle back to my home during the repair. I cannot say enough good things about this auto body shop. They are awesome! I was sent here through my insurance company, Mercury and couldn't be happier. The front office is very friendly and knowledgeable. They were patient and answered every question I had, no matter how mundane. The work needed on my car was on the smaller side, headlamp and bent bumper, and took only a couple days to complete. 1 day to order parts, and 1/2 day to complete the work. When I arrived, I immediately noticed they had wiped down most of the car inside and out, how nice!!!! Also, every mechanic/tech I bumped into in the lot, was very friendly as well. Yes! Please & Thank You!! I had a nasty gouge on the rear quarter of my car. Other places wanted to replace the entire panel and charge upwards of $1000. I got a quick estimate from DM to repair the scratch NOT replace the panel at a substantial savings. Took my car here recently to get some minor body work done as they were recommended by my insurance. Can't comment on the price as it was covered by the other person's insurance so I didn't shop around, but very smooth and easy process, car was done in barely more than half the expected time, and the result looks great. What an extraordinary find! My bumper had an unfortunate hook-up with a free standing basketball hoop. My dealer said it was fixable, but was going to be extremely expensive. It was suggested I go just a few blocks away to see Ruben at DM. Jaime the Magician was able to fix it perfectly in about 20 minutes and the charge was minimal.
