I made an appointment with Michael after I booked my car shipment back to the mainland and was worried about the USDA inspection portion since it was definitely dirty - too dirty for me to feel sure it would pass. Oh man, remnants from all the beach visits, hikes, and other adventures seemed permanently stuck in my floorboards but nope, Michael got it all out! Every nook and cranny was cleaned. Even the outside was beautifully done. Booking was easy - he returned my call and discussed my car goals and nailed down a date. All you need to do is a small Venmo deposit to secure your date. Michael even went above and beyond by giving me a ride to Enterprise where I had booked a rental car for the day. Kind, professional, and SUPER hardworking. I brought my car in for an axel replacement. First he lost the button that made my seat move…read moreforward and back, never cared to do anything about it. I let it go, then within 6 weeks the axel fell out from beneath the car while I was driving it. Looked underneath and 2 bolts were completely missing on that side (they don't unscrew themselves). Kenya seemed like a nice guy, but spread him self thin with too many jobs and he was clearly overwhelmed and probably just made a stupid mistake and forgot to put them in. I understand people make mistakes, but he completely glossed over the issue, strung me along for weeks, never took accountability, or acknowledged the fact that I could have been killed, lied to me and the manager at Napa, left me to pay for all the damages out of my own pocket and ignored my calls. Then when I got upset after dealing with all of this, he treated me like I was being out of line for being upset that I was out of work for 3 weeks and my car cost me thousands of dollars (still not all dealt with), always citing how I was inconveniencing his family by simply attempting to actually address the issue with him. Finally, his wife or girlfriend got involved saying she'd taken over the business, she refunded me MONTHS later for the labor on the axel but didn't bother to acknowledge anything else, and continued to gaslight me for being upset about what I had to deal with. The left side of my vehicle dropped to the ground so the wheel was ripped off and side fender crushed, along with my brake line and of course had to put in a whole new axel. For obvious reasons, I would never trust these people again and definitely would not recommend them.

It's been a great truck, and my husband loves it, so I checked in with the shop that did the work and they highly recommend Afa Detailing, and gave me their contact info. Between the Kona lows and our traveling, it took a while to get our schedules to sync up. Kimo and Sherrie were very patient and worked with us until we had a time that worked. Kimo, Sherrie and Hunter were amazing every step of the way. They started on the interior, which honestly I thought was a lost cause. They took their time and completely transformed the floor, seats, dash and every single nook and cranny of the cab and back seat, where our dog has had full reign since we got her 8 years ago. The exterior has been pretty beat up-I have terrible depth perception and have backed into more than one obstacle, and the truck has been parked out in the weather for over 10 years. The chrome shined up and they worked hard to get the grime out and the body to shine up again. It took hours, but they stayed with it until it shined. Sherrie even made sure the headlights gleamed.
