In Stockholm's new Mall of Scandinavia they have set up the first Swedish location of what sounds like many to come in the next year or so. I love heathy products for both the inside and outside of the body--so this place was like a new playground for me! They carried a ton of organic and eco-friendly skincare, supplements, healthy food, snacks and drinks. Since this is a British store, it has actually brought a lot of products that I recognize from the states (and some that I don't!) I was excited to see a few familiar brands like Burts Bees, Pacifica, Avalon organics, Yes to carrots (tomatoes, cucumbers..,) A'kin and Lavera on their shelves! I also really liked all the variety of the Holland & Barrett supplements. Their large jar of acai powder, raspberry ketones, chewable berry flavored acidophilus and apple cider vinegar (in pill form! so good for your health... but pretty nasty to drink!) were all real stand outs to me. The high quality and variety of supplements were the real star of the show here! Some other things to take note of in here are the large variety of teas, the mix-your-own dried fruit and nut bins, the mix-your-own dressing wall and the natural weight management and sports nutrition stuff for you healthy gym nuts out there. You've got to love it when a new foreign chain store pops up with all their new fun stuff! Check it out! =)

The restaurant is super cute and located on the Millesgarden property. It's bright with lots of windows and glass ceilings that overlook the sculptures and beautiful landscape of Millesgarden museum. I had a traditional Scandinavian soup made with spring onions and chicken - super yummy. It came with unlimited coffee, THE most delicious bread, and salad. The cute boys working there were v gracious and helped to translate the menu into English for me. To boot, it was so cheap for all of that food [around 100 SEK]. There were lots of other items to choose from as well. I left v full, happy, and excited to explore the Millesgarden grounds.

This is an awesome hotel in Solna. Well worth my one week stay…read more The hotel is basically brand new (opened in January 2016) with a modern touch, unique from all the other major hotel chains we all know. The theme of the hotel is all to do with winery and has a great collection of wine. They have their own branded wine that they make in-house. The hotel also has a beautiful lobby and bar area on the first floor. The rooms are beautifully laid, comfortable, and quiet, however, they are a little small. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have one of the good breakfast meals and are located in close proximity to the Mall of Scandinavia. You can also access the bus close by, but to get to the train, you'll have to get a taxi. You can also rent the bicycles they have to get around. The Winery Kitchen Restaurant on the first floor has a nice menu for dinner and you need to check it out when you stay here. They also have a pizza restaurant across from the check-in desk which really has awesome food and drinks. Of course, don't forget to sign up for the winery tour! They have a winery just behind the front desk and you can see the oak barrels used to store wine. You can always request to have the tour conducted in English. Overall, wife and I enjoyed our week's stay here.
