Other than the common compliments about a wedding, the #1 we heard was what a phenomenal DJ we had. Hire Shai. You will be so incredibly thankful you did. I've been to many weddings and I have to say that DJ Shai was the best I've seen in any wedding event (and I'm not just saying that because it was my wedding... lol). I was having a hard time with my dress bustle and wanted to change into my other dress sooner, but I was having such a great time and enjoying every single song that I didn't end up changing to my other dress until closer to the end of the night! Thanks you again for doing such an amazing job and making our event very memorable.. We had the best time, and we couldn't have done it with an amazing DJ like Shai!

During the…read moreceremony, we had some issues with timing (never trust a 3 year-old!) and Vinh was able to make adjustments to the music on the fly and made everything seamless. I actually didn't even notice that he had made changes until our planner told us about it hours later, it was that smooth. We had a huge mix of ages and tastes in the party and Vinh kept the energy up and the party moving all the way through. We had communicated beforehand some of the songs that we wanted to play at the wedding, but he was responsible for choosing most of the music that played. He absolutely nailed the vibe 99% of the time, and when he didn't he pivoted quickly back to something that got people moving again. He was also great about slipping in any announcements that needed to be made. Overall, I would highly recommend Vinh and Livinh Events for a wedding celebration, or any party for that matter. He was super friendly and easy to work with leading up to the event, and did an awesome job on the day.

We were thrilled to see Mike flawlessly execute our preferences, creating a seamless and dynamic musical journey throughout the night. In addition to his musical prowess, Mike's skills as an MC were truly exceptional. He effortlessly took on the role of guiding the evening's events, interjecting with humorous commentary at just the right moments and ensuring that everything, from the speeches to the dance events, ran smoothly and on schedule. His ability to engage the crowd and keep the energy high was remarkable. It was no surprise that we received an overwhelming number of compliments from our guests about how incredible our DJ was. The dance floor was packed all night long, with everyone having an absolute blast. The only time the dance floor temporarily cleared was when the In-N-Out truck arrived :D But after everyone got their fill of In-N-Out Mike was able to get everyone back out on the dance floor! Doug, the DJ, was our one main point of contact, which streamlined the entire process and alleviated loads of stress. He was very professional, trustworthy and responded to my emails quickly. As a DJ and MC, he did a fantastic job of transitioning from event to event. He was also entertaining and understood our taste in music. As for photo and video, the video team was easy to work with and made us feel comfortable. My wedding party adored the photographer, Yev. He was hilarious, but very serious about his work. He wanted to make sure we got the best shots. I would have typically waited to see our photos before leaving a rave review, but I'm more than certain we'll love them. Will upload some once they're ready :) Finally, there was also a day-of assistant/coordinator (I believe her name was Kat?), but she was amazing. When we were told she would be coming along, we just thought she would be assisting the production team. But she was by my side the entire time -- she helped arrange items and backgrounds in photos, fix my train and veil, hold my bouquet from time to time, help get spilled red wine off my dress and so much more. My phone also decided to power off just minutes before walking down the aisle and my vows were on it. As I began to freak out, she pulled out a bunch of chargers and played around with the phone until it turned back on. Ugh, I am so grateful she was there. Anyway, this company really deserves the 5-star Yelp rating. Go with them. You'll be in good hands.

Lio is experienced, well-connected, and radiates a love for his craft. He was up-front about learning the profession, technology, skills, and the practice it takes to get better. There was no sales pitch whatsoever, just an honest and transparent explanation of how he teaches, what the student can expect, and how parents can support the process. My teen had his first lesson in Lio's home studio last week. Cloud nine does not begin to describe the experience for him! His self-taught skills were validated, he learned so much in just two hours, and came home to "remix" his original creations. He has a second session scheduled with Lio next month and cannot wait. Hector MC'd the reception and Mark was DJing the music (which I'm telling you, makes a difference, because they were in sync and therefore everything flowed much better rather than one person juggling everything at once) Because I did the wedding planning myself, Mark was kind enough to help me build my timeline and map out the reception space based on his suggestions.
