I am happy to say that our choice in DJ (Karl Sommer - Supreme Sounds Mobile Dj) never added to the stress. Not only did he DJ our dancing and reception, but he also handled the music for our Ceremony, Cocktail Hour and Dinner. He did an amazing job during all of it. He stayed on schedule and adjusted when necessary. My husband and I are also big music fans, so it was important for us to be able to dictate what exactly we wanted played. Karl took our playlists and played everything we wanted and was able to arrange the song order in a way that was pleasing for our guests and flowed well. His pricing was incredibly reasonable - once we booked him he told us that he would do such a good job that we will want to pay him more for his services. He was 100% right! He was personable and professional without being overbearing and cheesy! We couldn't be happier - Thank you Karl! You rock :)

We had a mishap with the food and because of that, he only had about 45 minutes to play dance music and he did SUCH A GOOD JOB at making sure he got as many songs to play as he could. Other than the common compliments about a wedding, the #1 we heard was what a phenomenal DJ we had. Hire Shai. You will be so incredibly thankful you did. I've been to many weddings and I have to say that DJ Shai was the best I've seen in any wedding event (and I'm not just saying that because it was my wedding... lol). I was having a hard time with my dress bustle and wanted to change into my other dress sooner, but I was having such a great time and enjoying every single song that I didn't end up changing to my other dress until closer to the end of the night! Thanks you again for doing such an amazing job and making our event very memorable.. We had the best time, and we couldn't have done it with an amazing DJ like Shai!

If I could give zero stars, I would…read more From the very first meeting, our DJ called me a "bridezilla." That should have been the red flag, but we had already booked and provided him with a detailed, outlined itinerary and carefully curated playlists for arrival, dinner, and dancing. Unfortunately, he ignored almost everything we gave him. * He played the same song ("That's Amore") FOUR times during arrival. * He messed up our first dance by playing the wrong version of Grow Old With You. * He played the wrong song for our bridal party entrance. * Out of the 4+ hours of dance music we hand-selected, he played maybe 10 songs we actually picked. The rest completely killed the vibe of the party. To make things worse, he told my husband during the reception that he had another event to go to and planned on leaving two hours early (we hired him until midnight). After the dance floor had already died, he finally decided to play two songs from our list -- way too late to matter. This DJ was unprofessional, disrespectful, and flat-out failed to do the job we hired him to do. He ruined key moments of our wedding day, ignored our playlists, and disrespected our time and money. Brides and grooms deserve better than this. Save yourself the stress and look elsewhere.

I actually didn't even notice that he had made changes until our planner told us about it hours later, it was that smooth. We had a huge mix of ages and tastes in the party and Vinh kept the energy up and the party moving all the way through. We had communicated beforehand some of the songs that we wanted to play at the wedding, but he was responsible for choosing most of the music that played. He absolutely nailed the vibe 99% of the time, and when he didn't he pivoted quickly back to something that got people moving again. He was also great about slipping in any announcements that needed to be made. Overall, I would highly recommend Vinh and Livinh Events for a wedding celebration, or any party for that matter. Doug, the DJ, was our one main point of contact, which streamlined the entire process and alleviated loads of stress. He was very professional, trustworthy and responded to my emails quickly. As a DJ and MC, he did a fantastic job of transitioning from event to event. He was also entertaining and understood our taste in music. As for photo and video, the video team was easy to work with and made us feel comfortable. My wedding party adored the photographer, Yev. He was hilarious, but very serious about his work. He wanted to make sure we got the best shots. I would have typically waited to see our photos before leaving a rave review, but I'm more than certain we'll love them. Will upload some once they're ready :) Finally, there was also a day-of assistant/coordinator (I believe her name was Kat?), but she was amazing. When we were told she would be coming along, we just thought she would be assisting the production team. But she was by my side the entire time -- she helped arrange items and backgrounds in photos, fix my train and veil, hold my bouquet from time to time, help get spilled red wine off my dress and so much more. My phone also decided to power off just minutes before walking down the aisle and my vows were on it. As I began to freak out, she pulled out a bunch of chargers and played around with the phone until it turned back on. Ugh, I am so grateful she was there. Anyway, this company really deserves the 5-star Yelp rating. Go with them. You'll be in good hands.
