When I went to book, I was told I could not use this against a deep clean, and would need to pay circa $240 for a deep clean, including fridge, oven cleaning etc, and then redeem the $139 on the next visit. My bad, perhaps I hadn't read the small print correctly.
I booked a deep clean and Jessica and another lady came to my house. Very friendly, appeared to listen to what I needed. I live on my own and work full time, so the spare bedrooms really only needed a quick freshen up, despite the $240 charge, and I was ok with that...however, in the clear list and discussion, most items that were agreed were not touched and all I really got out of it was a basic vacuuming, and a whip around the the bathroom. I called the lady and explained some of the issues. She was lovely and promised me she would use as training opportunity and they would correct the work before my parents came to town from another country. The next day, I had friends round who have had cleaning services and they LAUGHED at how bad this was and how much I had been ripped off. Even if this was a regular weekly service, they still would have fallen significantly, disgracefully short, let alone a deep clean. Here is a list of some of the issues:
Sink full of dirty water
No trash bins emptied in any bathrooms
Surfaces in most rooms not wiped down
Bath not cleaned
Rugs not vacuumed
Dust and carpet fibers left in corners indicating no edges had been vacuumed
Stairs not touched
No mirrors touched, all were left with fingerprints
Oven not cleaned
Fridge freezer not cleaned
Upon emailing Hope, the owner, again to complain I had noted more issues and was concerned at the quality, I received zero response. I have sent a further 4 emails and no response. They did not turn up this morning as scheduled, to put right the deep clean, so now I have all this work to do myself, on top of a very busy full time job, and having family come to visit for the first time tomorrow.
Hope Lane have, in my opinion, stolen $380 from me and delivered nothing better than a small bit of vacuuming that a blind man with one arm could have done better at. Avoid like the plague. This is not a business.
