There's not just one word to describe the talent of DJ Mikey Lim. But amazing, fun, professional and caring are a few. I have personally booked him for a elementary school event. He was great! We had already heard how great DJ Mikey Lim was so we contacted him quickly after setting our date and venue. Mikey was always very responsive and helpful throughout the booking process. He answered all of our questions in a timely manner, even after we were booked and had our deposit down. Our ceremony was perfect because he was able to help us out with the music and sound. Our guests of 130 were able to hear our officiant and us very well. That was one of my concerns with the outdoor venue we had chosen. Our videographer was also able to connect to his sound system which was an added bonus, and something that I never would have even thought of! As for the reception... No one wanted it to end! We had a blast with Mikey's choice of music. We let him have free rein for the dance music and it turned out to be an excellent decision! This review is long overdue but I just can't hold it back any longer... Mike 'DJ Kechup' has skills up the ying yang!!! He DJed my wedding in August and made the whole process such a breeze. Any bride can and will appreciate that; with so many stressful things that go along with planning a wedding it is refreshing to know that he had the situation under control. Kechup also helped us through our ceremony and suggested modern but not corny 'cliche' music to go with our theme. Mike aka DJ Kechup was the DJ at our wedding, and we were blown away at how amazing he was! He was so responsive to emails before the wedding, and always had great ideas for our big day. My guests came up with requests for the reception, and he played so many of them, while also keeping the dance floor packed! I have never seen my family and friends dance like that! Who else could have my whole wedding dancing to "Gangnam Style," but DJ Kechup?! His wife Danielle is also there to help the bride with anything as well as keep the dancefloor moving! Such a great team! Our wedding had a country vibe, and Mike let me know that he may need a list of country songs to play, as he was not super familiar with them. On the day of the wedding, you would have thought he DJ'ed at a million country weddings! He was a country music pro, along with all other genres! As far as emceeing goes, he was just as incredible! For our wedding, my husband and I wanted to make sure we had an awesome DJ. We realize that the DJ can really make or break a wedding and they really set the tone of the event. We had phone meetings with tons of local DJs and none of them seemed to understand what we were wanting- someone to get a feel for the room, not cut off songs too soon, not make the event all about them, get people on the dance floor (and keep them there), and really pay attention to the songs we wanted to play (and definitely not play songs from our no-play list). We sat down with Mike before the wedding and told him all about us and our vision for the wedding. He totally got it. We were thrilled! We spent a lot of time working on a list of songs we wanted (and a list of songs we DEFINITELY didn't want). He really spent the time to go through everything. On the day of the wedding, there were so many special moments throughout the night where my husband and I looked at each other while one of our songs was playing and were so excited to hear what was playing. I got married last year and Mikey, Dj Kechup, was our Dj. I could say that he was amazing but that would be selling him short of his talent as a Dj. He literally had the dance floor packed out all night! My wife and I could not stop dancing and didn't even want to leave the reception when it was time to go.
