Joseph was the DJ for my wedding - I am the one who paid him and talked with him for this process…read more When we met, he came off as a very charismatic, competent, and kind professional. That person was nowhere to be found after we paid our deposit. He did an okay job overall, I won't say he was awful. But I was severely disappointed in how the reception of my wedding turned out. There were times when the dance floor was mostly empty (I have video proof of this), and the transitions between songs were so poor. There were multiple times that the song was changed before the beat dropped, a song was played multiple times, there were songs that I do not enjoy played and I requested that they be changed. That request was ignored. I literally sat down across the dance floor and every time Joseph looked at me, I just gave him a thumbs down. This is just the beginning of everything that went wrong. I have plenty more to say, but I refuse to spend anymore time on this. I wanted to leave this review so that people know what they are getting into when working with Joseph. One of my guests also left a review and Joseph had hers taken down because it was a one-star review. This behaviors really just outlines what kind of business is being run here. I do not recommend him for DJing services whatsoever. The photobooth was great and everyone loved it Edit; to respond to Joseph's response: You did fail to communicate clearly and timely after the deposit was paid. I emailed you regarding the COI on 3/16, and you called me to tell me that you wouldn't have a new one until September. After that, I have zero responses from you until 10/17 (8 days before the wedding!!) wherein you sent me two emails on Saturday night - at 9:32pm, 11:48pm, and another Monday 10/19 morning at 7:47am. You asked for the playlist for each part of the wedding, which we provided you with links to playlists as requested. I replied 10/19 with the items, and you requested the links again 10/20 and I sent individual links as outlined. From then on, we did not communicate except for the photobooth strip via text that same day. You did NOT provide the music to the coordinator; I have attached the email proof wherein I sent that info to the coordinator and also filled out the timeline she sent me. The draft timeline that YOU also received, which had the venue, date, color scheme, etc. the same color scheme that you asked me on the 20th and the florist the day of the wedding. We didn't even do a cake cutting song - or a bouquet toss. We did do a tshirt toss, where we gave you a specific song to play, which you also didn't so there was just awkward silence that whole time (see the video). If you wanted it to be the bridal party or coordinators responsibility to remind you to play the custom playlist that was created AT YOUR REQUEST, then you need to communicate that. Are we mind readers? No. We are a bride and groom hoping for a special day, and leaving the big things in the hands of professionals. I did try to complain at my wedding, where I went up to you and straight up told you I didn't like this song and requested you play a different song. You asked me if it was on the playlist, which it was! And you simply ignored my request. The only other person that went up to make a request did so because I asked her to - she asked you to play the same thing. As to the review that Laura left, I did not -send her- to leave a review. She was a guest at my wedding and she acknowledged that the dance floor was disappointing especially for a couple that loves music so much. SHE asked me if I could tell her your name to leave a review. You do not get to take credit for the vibe of the crowd - we are a great group and would have had fun no matter who was spinning. I won't deny you started off strong, but as the night progressed the dance floor emptied. I attached a video where there is literally 3 people on the dance floor. Everyone noticed the abrupt change in quality and it definitely dampened the party. Your response to this is not just rude, but unprofessional. This will be my final response. Have a great day.
