I presumed they'd be too booked during the summer -- with weddings and all -- but they were very accommodating and were able to fit me in within a couple of weeks. Having been shot by many photographers for acting head shots throughout the years, I can tell you that the process is not always an effortless one. You're vulnerable and exposed when being the subject of a shoot -- and Chad and Erin are an incredibly professional couple who are amazing to work with, and who completely put you at ease. They both have incredible humor; they're both intelligent and observant, and immediately create an atmosphere of safety and respect -- and yet, they make it "OK" to "play", experiment, and work your way out of your comfort zone -- as much or as little as you wish. I'll be honest: there will be a little bit of sticker shock. For wedding packages, maybe not so much. For promo shots -- it's a little higher than I'm accustomed to paying -- but I''ll tell you this: when I came back for the "viewing" of the shots, they were so incredible, I was willing to give them my car and my newly-adopted dog, too, They are the most flattering -- yet honest -- shots I've ever had taken, and are worth every penny. They are slick, magazine-editorial-caliber shots, which also have captured me in a very honest way. I doubt I will ever use any other photographers. They are the very best in their industry,

The most magical place in Alberta!…read more A friend of ours attended a vodka tasting event at Azuridge and we were blown away by the pictures, the estate seemed like it came out of a magazine, not an amazing local place! We had hoped they would accommodate a tiny wedding, and they did not disappoint. Everything from the first email, to the subsequent visits, has been over the top amazing. I had considered waiting to write this until our event was completed, but honestly, you neeed to know about this place. It is so posh and perfect, everyone who works there is on fire to make your experience amazing. Entering the gate into the estate sets the tone for the experience you are about to have. We came to tour the estate, brilliant experience, they have every single tiny detail perfected. Our engagement photos followed by some drinks in the beautiful Opal dining room? The photos are stunning, and we were so touched that a server we had not met yet congratulated us on our upcoming wedding. We are probably not this venue's typical clientele, but we have been treated like royalty since our very first contact. If you are ever so lucky as to have the chance to work with Trevor, jump on that opportunity. He is so amazing at what he does and takes care of all the little details you might not have even considered, which just adds to the magic of this place. If you are looking to be pampered and spoiled, or perhaps a little getaway, you won't find a better place to go in Alberta.

Devour does any type of function from casual birthday parties to fancy weddings. They supply each of their dishes based on your choices and what the general crowd would like at the gathering. It's interesting to try something different from time-to-time. I recently participated in a work function where Devour was the Catering service and I was very pleased with the outcome. The staff is professional, the food was quick and delicious, and the service was fantastic! Devour Catering is definitely one catering company I would use again. Whole Lotta Rozsa!…read more This is top notch social event venue containing a 350 - 400 (or so) Seat theatre, with a social gathering space large enough for everyone. It's the perfect place for lectures or concerts with a party/mingle before or after. I love the look of this building. It's engineered brilliantly for sound, is super classy, yet still kind of looks like a barn! Go Calgary! A concert hall is all about the combination of sounds being able fill the air, taking over every inch of space, and yet remain crystal clear, with each instrument from low to high being able to shine through and occupy it's on space in the mix and in the room. *Takes a deep breath and pushes his glasses back up on his nose* Hey Rozsa... you NAILED it!!

Probably the best acoustic space in Calgary is to be found in this lovely centre. The 'crown jewel'…read moreof the Rozsa is without question the Eckhardt-Gramatté Concert Hall. Having both performed and been audience to events at the 'E-Gre', I can attest without doubt that it is one of the finest acoustic and performative spaces in North America, if not the planet. The on-site tech department is very 21st century as well. How do I know this? Because my personal experience of performing there was not acoustic -- rather, electroacoustic. Very demanding electronics requirements are needed with such a performance. Our computer, midi, microphones, Disklavier, theremin and A/DSP's were QUICKLY connected and placed accordingly. At the end of our sound check, The sound-E informed us that he had us set up for DAT recording (surprise surprise!) if we felt so inclined. Formidable technicians, let me tell you. The 'E-Gre' also includes (for your pre and post performance pleasure) a couple of dressing rooms, a green room, guest room for a conducter/VIP, and a full rehearsal space, so you can get your sound check done right. The E-Gre is just short of 400 seats, but whoever fills them is lucky. The overall ADSR 'envelope' created by the standing waveform complex inherent to the space will make you drool. Sweeping glissandos, clipped yet soft-edge pizzicatos, bass that threatens to inundate yet keeps just enough away... piano, solo woodwind and strings are the sweet instruments for E-Gre. Do go. You will thank me. The Rosza may also show up on your 'radar' due to its ability to hold conferences. I have not experienced this yet, although I have attended a number of lectures and events -- the most recent being Wade Davis' invocation of the spirit of his Massey Lecture. Stunning ambiance, with an intermission space which is comfortable yet large enough to accommodate catering and book sales. I encourage anyone interested to may a point of experiencing the RC. Either booking it, or catching a concerto. You will want to go to there.
