We hired DJ Brothers for a Mardi Gras party on January 26, 2024 and can't be more pleased with how they (DJ Joey) performed. Their website is easy to navigate and allows you to outline what you want them to do and when during your event in timetable fashion. Playlists are also provided but they easily used a Spotify playlist we provided. DJ Joey contacted us by phone in advance to review our outline and obtain context on the general demographics of our guests. He arrived early and after meeting in person again reviewed the timetable for the evening. He flawlessly executed our outline and actually improved it. Bottom line, he had the dance floor full the entire evening. The light show we purchased was crazy good too for the price point ($150). Give this company your close consideration, you won't be sorry. DJ Brothers' Sunday evening package deal placed them in the top two lowest priced in town, and after a quick Starbucks meet up with Joey K. and negotiating our ceremony fee to be waived, we signed a contract. Their online system is really top notch and allowed us to customize every single song played at the wedding. It has spaces for each item like bridal party processional, first dance, cake cutting song, last song, etc. And also a system that allows you to completely customize your playlist for dancing, by "must play", nice to play, and "do not play." We had a call with our DJ, JR Hernandez, a couple days before the wedding and went over everything to make sure we were on the same page. The day of, he was there early and I didn't see him until I walked down the aisle, but all went well. He took a few requests (we told hi this was okay but he allows you to have the option for him to tell guests no) and played all our songs... He also made a few recommendations on our grand entrance and beginning our first dance. We chose "low to medium" interaction and he crushed it. I don't once remember thinking he was being cheesy or obtrusive- he made announcements when needed and just pumped the jams otherwise. For $500 even for our ceremony and 4 hour reception, I think we got a great deal with DJ Brothers. read more

DJ Brothers provided the music for our ceremony and reception and our DJ, Joey, was phenomenal! Before the wedding he quickly responded to any emails and questions I had and a few days before called and went over everything to make sure it was perfect. The online event planner made the process so smooth. We were able to input all songs and arrange the timeline of events for a perfect night. Joey played the exact music requested and even accommodated to fit our needs. He was very professional and helped get the guests dancing and made it a night to remember. Matt Wyatt with DJ Brothers was awesome! He even set up for the ceremony behind bushes at the front where you could not see him. He was right on queue for all of the songs. He also did a great job of getting the guests dancing at the reception and did this very cool thing to get the guests outside for the sparkler send off by starting a conga line. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is that Joey K told us he was doing our wedding and without notification he changed us to Matt and we had specifically asked if he could do it and he said he could before we decided to go with them - but we were happy with Matt. We actually got to see Joey K do a wedding at the same place 2 weeks later and though the reception was just as great with Joey K, we thought Matt did a better job with the ceremony, being out of view and starting songs on time. J.R. was amazing at my wedding! He called me a couple days before to go over ALL THE details and even helped me when I had some planning questions. During the wedding he was the perfect level of interactive and kept the party going. Joey was great with getting me set up, but one star removed because it was kind of hard to get ahold of people when I had questions and the response time for my emails took a while. For a bride to be with a million questions that was kind of stressful. But I would choose them again because in hindsight everything came out perfectly and they were the cheapest and best quality for what I paid. They have a lot of weddings under their belt and the online planning tool is amazing. read more

We hired Joey from DJ Brothers to play our wedding and were very pleased with the results. Joey did everything we asked of him: we wanted something low key and he knew how to get our families out of their seats without being cheesy. They have an online request system so we could set up song lists and timelines on our schedule. When our photographer spent too much time taking pictures and kept us away from the reception, he was able to keep the room entertained while they waited for the party to get started. We used DJ Brothers for our Officiant, DJ, lighting and Photo-booth and couldn't have been more pleased. Joey/JR were incredible helping in the planning of the wedding with my numerous emails and calls. We even met a week before to finalize everything to make sure everything goes perfectly. Day of, everyone showed up right on time for set up and was absolutely seamless. Joey officiated our wedding and was great with on his part. JR DJ'd and MC'd our wedding and was fantastic...everyone had a great time and he played all the music we wanted. Photo-booth was a hit, open air booth with plenty of props...even had an attendant just for the booth. I never really leave reviews but Im taking the time to write one here because I was VERY dissatisfied with DJ Brothers. I had my wedding 8/1/15 and the only reason I HAD to have them at my wedding was because it came with the venue Lindsay Lakes which that place was horrible aswell but that's a different story. I was told DJ Brothers was really good and they had any kind of music etc etc when I booked the venue. I was also told the guy who would MC and DJ on my wedding day would contact me a week before the wedding day to go over everything. About a month before the wedding I tried multiple times to get a hold of the DJ because I wanted to see if they could mix a few songs for my first dance but I never could get a hold of them. Finally Joey called days after to just say it would be $25 if I wanted that done. I also told him I would like to meet with the one who would be at my wedding to go over things and he said Jair I think his name was would contact me a week before the weeding to go over everything. I did not get a call until the night before my wedding day and that's because I bugged so much for somebody to please contact me. The day of the wedding everything was so disorganized. Him and Lindsay Lakes coordinator were not working together at all. Im the bride and I had to be going to him everytime I wanted sonething done . If he would've cared a little about my wedding and contacted me before the wedding to go over details things wouldnt have been a disaster. My guest were not happy with the music, I specifically told them I wanted more Latin music and specifically told them the names of the songs and artist but when I got in their website to put in my music I wanted they had almost none of the songs my guest requested. Music is one of the most important things in a wedding and for mine it was horrible. The sound was also very low. When we had our first dance it was was so low people did not enjoy it. I cannot recommend DJ Brothers enough. My husband and I were lucky enough to have JR with us at our wedding, and his patience, kindness, and calming presence were exactly what we needed. We did not give him an easy event (torrential downpour + multiple locations + very specific playlists, oh my!), and he handled it like a champ. Additionally, I am pretty technologically incompetent so I had some difficulty with the website interface. JR and his brother walked me through everything without making me feel like a burden or a nuisance. I think people underestimate what it takes to make a really great DJ, and I can say without a doubt that DJ Brothers have figured out the formula. Along with many of our guests, I work in the wedding/events business, and so we've seen our fair share of bad DJs. In addition to being the nicest person ever, JR was great at reading the vibe & playing just the right song at the right time. Needless to say, we were blown away. Our wedding was 6/4/16 at the DoubleTree in downtown Houston. Joey (the owner of DJ brothers) was our DJ. We also added uplighting and dance floor lighting to our event. I will say that Joey was outstanding. He has a great online interface for setting up what kind of music to play as well as the schedule for first dances, toasts, etc. Every song except for one was in his catalog, and you get to add 10 songs that aren't in his catalog for free. He spent a lot of time on the phone figuring out our style and what we wanted. At the event he did an outstanding job. He nailed the schedule, had a great speaking voice, and managed the song choices perfectly. I looked around a lot prior to booking and his pricing was very competitive.
