TL;DR I had an amazing experience at Murphy's and I would definitely choose them again!…read more A few months ago I decided to get a parlor chair reupholstered. The chair had been in my family and passed down from my great grandma, so I really wanted a good quality job for such an important chair. I ended up picking Murphy's to do the job. I had a fantastic experience working with the team at Murphy's. I brought my chair to the store one morning where Tony gave me a quote on price and suggested I check out a discount fabric store for my chair in order to get a good deal. I picked out the fabric, dropped off the chair and waited with great anticipation for my reupholstered chair. It took maybe four to five weeks to get my chair back, but the wait was worth it! The detail of my chair is amazing and the cushion makes it feel like a completely new chair. If I ever need another reupholstery job again, I will definitely be back to Murphy's!

I want to share my experience with Carolina Ductmasters so others can make informed decisions…read more After their work was completed, I later discovered that ductwork in my attic had been left disconnected. Over time, this may have allowed fiberglass insulation to be pulled into the system and circulate through my home. During this period, members of my household experienced skin irritation and breathing discomfort, which led us to investigate further and pursue repairs. The extent of the issue was not immediately apparent. When I raised concerns, communication was limited. The work appeared incomplete, and some equipment was left behind. Although I was told the entire system had been cleaned, the main trunk line did not appear to have been accessed. Management indicated that the issues would be addressed and mentioned possible refunds for service and replacement of some affected items, but these were not ultimately provided. I also requested proof of liability insurance, but it was not provided to me. Recommendations for others: * Verify liability insurance before hiring * Consider monitoring attic work when possible * Ask for clear explanations of what areas will be cleaned or serviced. This review reflects my personal experience and observations and is shared so others can be aware of potential concerns when hiring.
