Just an absolutely incredible experience. It had been a few years since I had the pleasure of having Dixie donuts but I'm so happy I was able to try them again. I happen to love donuts and have had many donuts in my life and these are some of the best I've had. They were so fresh, the textures were incredible, and they tasted amazing. would give a zero if I could. I was an employee here for about two months, the owner does nothing but talk bad about customers and other employees. They have no health inspections, they wont let you use the bathroom if you're mexican, disabled, etc. They are reluctant to give men jobs because it's "not a boy job". The owner decided to put hands on me and push me my last day, which was a couple days ago. It resulted in a little fight, and she grabbed my arm after I tried to leave and left bruises. I am 17 and all I did was give a little attitude as we were busy that day and I had nothing done. A great place if you want to be a customer, but I do NOT recommend if you are looking for a professional place to work. read more

These donuts are really good and worth stopping in for. I hope someone at the store reads this because they have a special donut with sausage in the middle. The concept is really well thought out and it's well made. My only complaint is that the sausage had little to no sausage flavor. It would be amazing if you tasted a really good sausages taste. Good ole Wilkesboro! I was shocked to see this place open on a Sunday. Don't drive down 268 too fast, you may pass it. I've passed this place many times and kept telling myself I was going to stop. I'm glad I finally stopped my past visit. All of their donuts are made fresh in the money and you can TASTE it. The prices are great for a specialty made donut. Dixie Doughnuts' location is nowhere close to Manhattan, however, they have a rocking croissant doughnut. Not a cronut (TM), just a straight-forward name of "croissant doughnut." $2 and oh so good. You must get it and please do not make the mistake that I did of "sharing". Get one for yourself unless you're a delicate baby bird who can't inhale an entire croissant doughnut by yourself. Their hours are surprisingly good! Open until 6pm on Sundays! Also good are the caramel glazed doughnut with apple filling, the plain glazed doughnut, and the sour cream glazed. The boston cream deserves an honourable mention as well. But really, we got 7 doughnuts and they were all fantastic. $5.50 for 1/2 dozen of the less exotic doughnuts. No frills, clean, simple doughnuts. You're not going to find bourbon glaze with a sprinkle of truffle oil smoked bacon at Dixie Doughnuts, but you're also going to leave quite happy. read more
