Thankfully, there are a lot of coffee shops, and tea houses in Dearborn, and we try to hit up as many as we can anytime we visit the area This place stuck out to me because I really like the way the ambiance looked online. It looks very homey, but at the same time, very oriental and global feeling. When we came inside, I was impressed, the pictures did it justice. We chose our table and decided to get a small pot of the adani tea and a to go order of the toffee latte- iced. Going with the pot of tea was a great idea because it gave us more of the ambiance that I was going after. I think a to go cup would not have done that. It was the perfect amount of tea and I'm happy they had Splenda as an option for sweetener. The tea cup set was cute, too. The man with the glasses at the front was very helpful and told us the prices of the desserts, but ultimately, we decided to skip out on them. It would be helpful to have prices on the display case, because we wouldn't have to keep asking if they had them there. Another small constructive criticism would be to make sure that the bathroom is stocked with toilet paper-- the bathroom had none. Feel like there is a lot of potential here. The interior decor is cute with their comfortable seating. They had no music so it was awkwardly quiet. On the tvs they had pics of random nature and birds. It felt like there was no cohesiveness to their theme. We got a pot of adeni chai which is our go to. The chai was average. Also got couple slices of their tres leches which was also just ok. The honeycomb bread was good. Overall food/drink wise nothing stood out. There's so many similar places that they need to make some changes to stand out. If they did Id probably try it again. read more

I visited here with a group of colleagues for a meet up. The space is very roomy with gorgeous couches and sofas near the counter and tables and booths in the other half of the cafe. It's nicely decorated and very welcoming when you walk in. You order and either wait or get a number and sit down and they bring it to you. I ordered a Diwan Smoothie and a Lotus Cake. I asked what the "lotus" was and they showed me it was Biscoff cookie cream. I immediately said yes! When they brought my order, they brought an iced caramel macchiato instead. It was really busy so I didn't say anything. It wasn't bad, I just don't like caramel coffees that much. But the Lotus Cake? It was warmed and had a scoop of ice cream on top. This tasted amazing - between the warm cake with the cold ice cream, the texture of the cake (like corn bread, almost) and the smooth ice cream, and the cookie and chocolate flavors, I was in dessert heaven. I highly recommend it! I plan to return to try that Diwan Smoothie and, of course, treat myself to another Lotus Cake! read more

Diwan cafe has good list of items in the menu to choose from coffee, tea, smoothies, desserts etc Adeni tea is one of my favorites and that's the reason I visited here to try it. Though I liked it, it not as good as the ones I had from other places. Kids had smoothies which was nice and the only thing I would say is the lack of size for smoothies. I liked the milk cake lotus cake out of some desserts we ordered. Honeycomb bread was little hard. Guys working were nice. We were with a big group having many kids(running across tables) and they were nice in bringing orders to tables as we have split across multiple tables. Ambience is a really nice one that looked different from rest of the places. It's a nice place to work as well and I could see in couple of tables people were working with laptops. It has parking ample parking spaces in the parking lot next to the cafe. read more

This is a solid place to get Yemeni coffee (adani chai) with more seating than some of the more popular spots. The owner is SO nice and friendly, he was really welcoming when we came and took a photo of us and printed it onto a latte, as well as gave us a few free lattes to see the other prints as well. The aesthetic of the coffee shop is really nice. They also hold late night hours during Ramadan, which is cool. The only downside is that the coffee grinds kind of well up at the bottom of the adani chai sometimes, but all in all, a great cafe! read more

Can be improved . Good service but the coffee tasted and smelled like whatever dish soap or cleanser was being used . That smell overwhelmed the facility. I had to spill out my coffee because that's all I was tasting and smelling . Use cleaning agents /soap that is not scented. Desserts were great and the ambiance was nice except that I think people were smoking . The pomegranate juice was mainly ice and it cost $7 so I was disappointed there as well. The name must go as I was not sure if it was a coffee shop or not . I believe that is in the works though. I might give it another go. Wow & Yummmm! Delicious smoothies, iced coffee and ice cream. The cappuccino crunch ice cream is delicious. The staff is super friendly. Very comfortable seating & great atmosphere . 10/10! I love this cafe the prices are reasonable, the owner is so sweet when he noticed my friend didn't like her drink he just went to the back and remade her one and that was delicious. The interior is beautifully decorated and is very cozy. It makes me want to stay there for hours just to chat with my friends and have delicious drinks. I recommend their yemeni teas and coffees and their smoothies are good too. Their toffee ice coffee and their caramel macchiato are really good. read more

Forget Starbucks and all those other places! This is the BEST place to go for coffee, tea, and speciality drinks. It smells soooo good inside too. The fellow making coffee has a real passion for it. It comes through in all the drinks he makes. Really a very pleasant, happy guy too. One of the best things too is that it's served hot. The Adani tea is the best! They have pastries as well. Also, it has a very warm and inviting vibe. The decor is great, there's plenty of comfi seating, and it's super clean inside. There's plenty of parking too. I'm in shock with the customer service and rudeness. First time to visit the cafe with some of my friends which they insisted for me to visit. The next time I visited the manger accuses me of not paying for my coffee last time I came. I was really surprised by how they were rude and unprofessional. I showed him in the bank statement that I paid, But I was being nice and I offered to pay for the coffee again because I didn't want to ruin my day out. However the guy was very defensive saying that he doesn't care about the money. I'm still in shock that I went to him again to explain and he said it's over don't talk about it. Wow how rude and unprofessional to deal with paying customers in such a manner specially it was my first time going there. My friends been going there for some time that's why I went. Wow! This place is unbelievable. A friend and I stopped after dinner and were amazed by it. The atmosphere was wonderful, the place was beautiful inside, the staff was friendly, and the drinks were delicious. My friend got a coffee and I got a tea latte, both were very different to anything we had had before, in a good way.
