You literally contradicted yourself one sentence after the statement. You must be mistaken because it was me that reached out several times to you asking to meet you to go over the process to understand things a little better but you declined every time, with the response of "we can meet when I serve you". Which would also imply a process right, Denise? My claims of gender bias are supported by you ignoring a male trying to solicit your business, while being overly responsive to the female party. That coupled with little to no men reviewing you whatsoever show me that you cater to women, which I understand because 70% of divorce filings are women, but you think a man would have a good review for you too... There is no confusion of grief for anger in this process, just you trying to gaslight everyone that leaves you a negative review into thinking there is. Communication and comprehension is not you or your Agnes's strengths. There is a reason why both me and my soon to be ex, despite not wanting to be married, agreed to walk away from you and go to your colleague across the bay. Because you're inefficient, biased, and slow. You also give legal advice when you shouldn't. Do not use these people!! They are disorganized, they lost our paperwork delaying the divorce, they consistently took weeks to respond to emails, they offered to meet us in person and then never did, they made it seem like they would help us draft a custom contract and literally pushed through the most basic document ever that I could have done myself, their paperwork was outdated and had no language for queer couples, and they had a really bad attitude the whole time. After a year of frustrating attempts to complete divorce papers on my own and taking to Denise Foster I decided to use Divorce with Dignity. I was very disappointed. I felt intimidated by her stern, cold demeanor when we met in person. By the description of the business I expected a bit more kindness. To start, I was quoted a price over the phone that was $500 less than the price on the contract. She did correct it with no apology. Eventually, the paperwork was completed and I got my divorce but not until paperwork was buried on her desk for 3 weeks until I called wondering why it hadn't been filed. Her very kind and compassionate assistant promised to file it the next day. I was very upset and frustrated on the phone but not with the assistant, with Denise. (One thing I would suggest is to not start talking about your client until you've completely hung up the phone.) I later got an email from Denise to tell me she'd file the papers in 2 days which turned into a week and a half. Finally by looking online I learned that I was officially divorced and had been for several weeks. The paperwork had to go through Divorce with Dignity. I emailed to ask why the delay in getting it to me and they said their stamp wasn't working. I did eventually get my official papers but the frustration I felt trying to complete them on my own was equaled by using Divorce with Dignity, not lessened. read more

Divorce with Dignity Alameda was a frustrating and ineffective experience including advice that resulted in my being reprimanded by the Family Court Judge, other client's materials sent to me, confusing and conflicting information. I've never written a negative review before - just really wanting future clients to know that if you choose this service, be vigilant and careful. In addition, I live in a County where there is a more convenient location and didn't know this until after the process was complete. I felt like what we paid was very reasonable. Just make sure you seek out legal counsel to give you advice and to advocate for you (if necessary), and consider seeking out extra support (i.e. another person) to develop a comprehensive parenting plan (if you have kids), as Denise did not offer a lot of support for this task. I need to say this was the easiest divorce I've ever gotten. I used Divorce with Dignity in Alameda in 2003. I only needed to come into the office once I recall and everything else was taken care of. I was a bit hesitant to go to DWD especially after reading the bad review regarding that Rick guy. Luckily he is no longer with them. I am glad that I went to DWD to get my divorce processed. (Rather than hiring a lawyer or doing it online which we considered.) It was so much simpler, faster, easier and WAY cheaper than what I had expected. You hear all these nightmares about laywers fees and divorces dragging out until all parties involved are broke. Not so with DWD, especially if you and your spouse can be reasonable with each other. I was so lost trying to do my own divorce. I went to many self help classes and they still didn't help me get it right. My divorce was denied 3 xs! I am so glad I went to Denise.
