Great woman owned business, nice location with plenty of parking. Owner was very polite and answered all my questions with a smile.

Oh, this is it! Early Sunday morning folks buy malassadas by the dozen in big brown paper bags:…read moresugar or sugar & cinnamon. Except for Hawaii, where malassadas (fried dough) are covered with fresh tropical fruit, Goularts is the best I've ever had. And this is a town where folks are loyal to bakeries that have been making them for families for decades. Customers also pick up some 'pops' or 'papo secos' a dry roll for sandwiches or with dinner, and maybe say a few words in Portuguese. But I also came for nata, the egg custard tarts beloved in Brazil, Macau, Jakarta, and Goa, known as pastel de nata. And they did not disappoint, having both the traditional natas with flaky pastry & brûlée tops and at least half a dozen other types including Nutella, caramel, chocolate, passion fruit and more. Heaven! Service was quick and helpful. The ambiance is cute corner bakery catering to parents who bring home breakfast treats for their kids and family. And there's plenty of parking across the street next to the pretty park, which could be a great place to enjoy a fresh baked treat. Enjoy!

The two girls were super friendly and helpful behind the counter and offered helpful recommendations and product info. I went simple this time but next time I may venture to try a topping and a fun frosting. Today though I opted for cream cheese (as recommended) and paired with one of their brewed flavor coffees. The coffees are not sweetened so it was great pairing with my warm cinnamon bun. Prices are standard for gourmet baked goods. A frosted large cinnamon bun is $4.50 and coffee is $1. There are a few small kinks to work out that will be fine tuned with time since they just opened. Today was my second visit (first time I came they had sold out for the day, I'm sure with time Instagram will post updates if they sell out and it's pre-orders only). I'll definitely be back, great addition to the south coast.

Loved the cute bakery setup and the friendliness of the staff working for sure! Very inviting and made you feel right at home! She also briefly described their concept and what they had to offer for products. Sadly, I have to give these cinnamon rolls only 2 stars, 1 for them themselves and another for the awesome employee working there. I was very disappointed! These looked nothing like the abundant pictures on IG! Also when it came to taste, let's just say I've had better cinnamon rolls come out of a package! They were so bland! I got the vibe that these were homemade buns and they didn't even taste like they were! I could not even taste butter in them! Another thing that I was thrown off by was that they didn't have an option to buy the buns naked without any frosting drizzle on them, which was fine because they were drizzled very lightly (which you have to pay extra for more frosting which from the pictures looks more like a cream cheese frosting then the one in the picture I provided) Overall, I was really hoping to love this place! I think the recipe needs to be worked on a little more. Also, from seeing all the different kinds of cinnamon rolls from the pictures on IG, I was expecting more of a variety! I'd love to give them a try again In the future, but I wouldn't go running here anytime soon!

The oatmeal raisin looked and tasted as if I made them myself. Very dense and dry. I do like the fact they loaded it with raisins that's great but over the oatmeal cookie part was not even top 5 best oatmeal raisin that I've had. I also tried the chocolate chip and crushed mint cookie which had like peppermint crushed on the top. It was an odd flavor combination and again a dryness to the cookie itself. Idk if they make their cookies daily or if they were getting stale but for my first experience trying 2 kinds and both were mediocre cookies. I'd rate them a 6 out of 10 so 3 stars out of 5 seems fair. Maybe it was a bad batches a bad day for them maybe they have others that are more moist and tastier idk but I don't think I'll go back and waste the money.

The two other friends I was dining with got their food and ate it and said it was ok. ( shrimp plate and fish tacos). The waitress asked when ordering if we wanted peppers with our clamboil and we said on the side. Three meals came out ( missing my clam boil) and my friends clamboil was filled with peppers and even the clam broth. Our waitress said my boil was on the way out and proceeded to go to kitchen. I asked her to talk and she ignored me. My friend wanted to return hers to the kitchen to get no hot peppers. When the waitress came out- she proceeded to give a clamboil to another table. So here I sit with no food. When asked to get my friend the right dinner she said cook was new and didn't know what we wanted.! She took my friends clamboil back and came out with one still wrong. Still sitting with no food. By then the two friends who had there food was done and my friend and I still had no food. I called the waitress over and said we were leaving and she said ok. No integrity and still continued to blame cook, but she was ignoring us and hiding in the kitchen and waiting on other tables. So sad because I frequently used to eat here before I moved away and was very excited to go there. No manager around. Another thing- we were given take out menus to look at- no real menus??!! Aweful experience!
