Food is always excellent. Zuppa di Pesce and the pasta special had a ton of delicious and savory flavor. We also had the fried calamari which is lightly breaded and was paired with some sweet sauce. Service was fast and attentive and the prices were ok, in this day and age. Nice place with plenty of seating on a Thursday.

I have no idea how I haven't been here considering I passed it so many times. This review is a conglomerate of times I have visited. It's in a shopping center plaza on a main road. Its a great date night spot with white table cloths and Italian paintings. It's very old school Italian and the owner is a gem. Mario is extremely personable and truly cares about providing his customers the highest quality ingredients. I spent a long time talking to him during one of my visits. The business has been around for over 25 years! Obviously he is doing something right! Everything I had here was delicious. It is also all made to order, which is incredibly rare in todays world. My personal favorite was the shrimp appetizer. I think I could have honestly licked the plate. The fresh mozzarella appetizer is also chefs kiss. It's also made daily in house. Also not pictured is seafood pasta with a slightly spicy marinara. The desserts are also excellent quality. The pumpkin cheesecake is made daily and Mario takes great pride in. A shot of espresso with hazelnut biscotti ends the dinner perfectly. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. It's exceptionally clean as well. If you are looking for a good date night spot and want actual Italian food with premium ingredients- you have to come to Divina. 10/10

Upon entrance, we were pretty surprised by the lovely Valentine's Day decor for the pop up restaurant. It was a set menu for $70 that included starts with a glass of champagne, appetizer, entrée and dessert. We ordered the seafood salad, calamari, lamb chops, filet mignon, chocolate moose and red velvet cake. Everything was super delicious and very fresh tasting, We had bread brought to our table with olive oil.

ONE STAR -- Heartbreaking Disaster for Our Twin Daughter's First Birthday…read more I am absolutely shocked and heartbroken by the way Calandra's Bakery handled our daughters' first birthday cake. We paid $400 for a custom cake -- and even had to supply our own candy hearts -- and the entire bottom tier collapsed. The cake was constructed incorrectly, the dowels were tilted, and it was sliding off the base. This was not our fault -- this was baker incompetence. The baker was Alida. When we called to report the disaster, the manager Tony was rude, dismissive, and nasty. Instead of helping us salvage the cake, he blamed us, said we should have paid extra for delivery, and then had the nerve to tell us we should drive 35 minutes away, wait 30 minutes while he "fixed" it, and drive 35 minutes back -- all while our twins party was happening. Absolutely unbelievable. After threatening a fraud dispute, Tony finally sent a replacement cake -- which was just a plain white cake with basic piping, looked nothing like what we ordered, and: * Arrived late (promised 2:20, showed up at 2:55) * Our event ended at 3 * Was stale, ugly, and poorly decorated * Had gray piping, not the promised rainbow design When we tried to get an ETA for the replacement cake, Tony did not answer any of our phone calls. When it finally arrived, his attitude was the same -- dismissive and rude -- telling us to "be patient" while the delivery men shrugged at the ruined original cake and tossed it aside. No apology. No compensation. When we asked for compensation, Tony yelled and blamed us, despite the cake being a complete failure due to their mistakes. We were celebrating a once-in-a-lifetime milestone for our daughters, and Calandra's Bakery ruined it entirely. For $400, you expect care, professionalism, and a beautiful cake -- we got disrespect, incompetence, and heartbreak instead. Do not trust Calandra's Bakery with anything that matters.

For Christmas Eve, with my daughter and two granddaughters in town, we made a reservation for five and paid the required $200 deposit. The restaurant was busy due to the holiday, which we completely understood. Service was slow but expected, and we were enjoying the live music and conversation. After receiving our entrées, a frightening incident occurred: my 15-year-old granddaughter was drinking from her glass when it suddenly shattered in her mouth. I saw it happen. Glass shards landed in her mouth and in her plate of food. We immediately brought the broken glass and plate to the staff and asked if the entrée could be remade. A woman who identified herself as the owner came over. She did not ask if my granddaughter was okay, offered no apology, and stated that they would not remake the food, even after I offered to pay for a replacement. At that point, we asked for to-go boxes and our check. The check arrived without deducting the $200 deposit, requiring me to go to the desk to have it corrected, and a refund was needed since the total did not reach the deposit amount. What was most upsetting was not the accident itself, those things happen, but the owner's complete lack of concern, empathy, and professionalism. We were treated as though we were trying to take advantage of the restaurant, despite being frequent patrons who had already paid for the meal. The wait staff has always been kind and professional, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Unfortunately, after this incident, we will not be returning and will be taking our business elsewhere.

The interior is nicely decorated with a cozy Italian vibe that makes it a great place to sit back and enjoy a few pies. If you follow Barstool, you might remember that Portnoy gave this place an 8.8 -- and it's well deserved. I can personally attest to that score. We started with a plain pizza, just like Portnoy did, and he absolutely nailed it. The crust was perfectly thin and crispy, with great flavor and not greasy at all. Next up was the Easy on the Pizzi -- vodka sauce base, crispy cup pepperoni, mozzarella, fresh burrata, basil, and a drizzle of Mike's Hot Honey. The combination of rich, savory, and slightly sweet flavors worked perfectly together. We also tried The Nicky Newarker, topped with thinly sliced sausage and onions on that signature thinny-thin crust. Another great choice. The pictures really don't do these pizzas justice, though they'll definitely make your mouth water. Our server was fantastic -- friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. I'm already looking forward to going back to try more of their specialty pies. If you love thin-crust pizza and you're in the area, this spot is absolutely worth checking out.

So, one of our group suggested Forte's. Let me just say I'm glad they did. We called ahead and they said that due to the party size (we are six people; three adults, three kids), we might have to sit on the pizza parlor side. No problem. We arrived and were seated almost immediately. This is where the five-star experience started. Gina (we later found out she was brand new to the restaurant) came to our table immediately and asked if she could get anything for the kids. Genius! Anyone with kids knows that you can't even order a drink until you've addressed their entire meal. We quickly placed the kids' orders and got down to our own. We are a picky crew...each one of us adults has a no-this or a can-you-substitute-that for every meal. We like what we like. Gina was more than happy to accommodate. And more importantly, she wrote everything down. I don't go out to eat to be astounded by the server's Jedi mind tricks and memory capacity, because they almost always mess something up. I want a delicious meal, and I want it accurate. She understood EXACTLY what I was saying. I knew immediately that I wanted the Chicken Francaise, but I saw black squid ink linguine as part of one of the specials and asked if I could have that with mine. She checked with the chef and they were happy to make the substitution for me. Before I go any further, I have to say, this was BY FAR the best Chicken Francaise I've EVER had. The sauce was thick, buttery and lemony, just the way it should be. The egg batter was perfectly crisp yet not overdone. And the pasta was just the way I like it. A touch past al dente. Portion size was exactly as expected. Back to the ordering for a second. My friend couldn't decide what she wanted so she simply said "what do you recommend?" to Gina. Gina offered up her three favorite dishes and my friend, sharing the same tastes as Gina, was able to pick one. She could not have been happier with the eggplant dish she got (I can't remember which one), but she remarked that it was one of the tops she'd had. Gina ensured that the kids' food came out quickly and accurately and made sure everyone's drinks were always full. That's SUCH a rarity these days. She brought more bread when ours was finished, offered up parm cheese when my tortellini en brodo (yummy) came, and again when our dishes came out, and was all around as attentive as you could ever want a server to be. Mind you, the place was PACKED...AND she was working both sides of the restaurant. You would not have known it with the way she handled our crew. Simply put, we came for a dinner we never planned on having there and instead, we were positively blown away by both the service AND the food. I highly recommend this place and I have to suggest that you ask for Gina...you will not be disappointed! I can't wait to go back already! I made sure to tell the managers/owners about all of the above too. So many people only like to complain. Don't get me wrong, I'll tell you how it is when they mess up too, but this was so exceptional, I had to let them know. Mike and Steve happily introduced themselves, thanked me for my feedback and said they hoped we'd be back to see them again soon. Ummm yeah...you guys made us feel like family!
