However, Ikea has bulked up its healthy food options in what is basically a massive cafeteria covering the entire top floor. And despite there being literally hundreds of seats here, finding a spot to sit and eat can be tough. I wouldn't be surprised if people came here for the food alone. As you can imagine, the place is teeming with screaming babies, kids running around in different directions, and parents looking harried. These can be avoided by staying out of flooded areas, however. The way the store is set up - a path of yellow tape - somehow makes you feel like you're walking along the yellow brick road. It also makes it difficult and maze-like if you want to leave before you've walked the whole path. (You can't cut back to the beginning either because of the way the escalators are set up.) Various labels and posters are graffitied by customers, as you get a pencil and notepad on the way in to write down the serial number for warehouse-stored items. It's the same deal with the graffiti inside the toilets. There's some pretty funny graffiti here, even some intelligent stuff. Judging by the handwriting, a child of about 8 years old in one of the bathroom stalls started a list for people to join the fight against Voldemort's army. I think I was signature number 14. On the bathroom front, I don't think I've ever seen so many stalls in one place. No queuing here. But of course Ikea is all about doing it on a large scale. As I've come to expect, I came back with a few things I didn't need. Or rather, things I didn't think I needed. It turns out my dog is obsessed with the moose hand puppet (around $2-$3) to the exclusion of all her other toys. As long as she doesn't bite my hand off, you'd have to say that's a good buy.

That was the general attitude among my peers to the store years ago, but now that we are older, it is basically a cardinal sin to be seen anywhere near the place. I don't know what poor Supre did to deserve such a bad rap, but when one of my friends suggested we make a trip to the factory outlet she had to clarify that she was, in fact, not kidding. So a group of us decided to brave it together. We arrived at the shop to find at least 20 racks stuffed full of clothing on sale for $2.50. Everything was obviously dramatically reduced, and most of that was winter stuff, but a dress for $2.50 is a dress for $2.50. After spending a fair chunk of time outside we ventured in to the massive warehouse to be greeted by what must have been hundreds of racks jammed closely together all struggling under the weight of the clothing they were supporting. Some of Supre's clothes are great, while others are not made very well. When you go to a place like this I always feel that you'll be rewarded if you're willing to take the time to sort through the racks and unearth things that could masquerade as costing a lot more. I ended up trying on at least 20 items and buying seven, mostly basic items such as t-shirts, which came to the grand total of $17.50. We were shocked to get in the car and realise we'd been there for almost two hours, but it was a worthwhile trip.

Everything…read more Well, unless it's specified as being a little more expensive (such as a large Maneki Neko). It's not really the go-to shop for general household needs, as most of the stuff here is bordering on the bizarre. Such as tiny scrubbing brushes with smiley faces on the handle. Or equally as tiny toilet brushes (seriously, who has a loo that small?). But if you're a bit of a stationary and organisational fiend then this place will have you [cheaply] covered. It has everything from filing storage to an assortment of decorative pens, paper and tonnes of cute stickers. You just have to hunt it down through the plethora of strange items (pink plastic clips adorned in smiley faces which are used to carry hot plates, anyone?).

The comparison ends there however, as this is a cheap little shop, similar to those that sell everything for $1, except here they've settled on the random price of $2.80. I'm not sure if I'm just incredibly ignorant, but I really did not know what half the stuff in this place was. Most of it appeared to be made of plastic, and most of it was in very strange shapes so that it was clear they served some specific purpose that would probably make my life a lot easier if I could comprehend them. However, they didn't seem to come with instructions so I'm not sure I'll ever be privy to their secrets. It was quite full of people, many of them making purchases, but to me it was a very odd shop.
