I want to commend two employees, Lakeila Truesdale and Robert Foster, for their professionalism and kindness, as well as their clear communication skills. They were both busy, the entire time I was in the store on 8/14, but answered questions and gave directions to customers, who are of necessity a captive and tired group, with respect and patience. They knew their products and their customers: excellent staffers. Lakeila went to extra trouble to find exactly what I wanted, and Robert made eye contact (which is all we can do with masks!) as he helped people, including me, while moving stock and allowing space for people to shop. Excellently trained, or perhaps simply excellently selected because they were already skilled, they were a great reflection on the company and the airport. And, they got up and came to work on a Saturday! Thanks for the uniquely Baltimore items, mixed with the essentials for flying, and I love the bag design and quality. I fly once every 10 years or so, and this was the best advertisement for maybe flying more often. Fortunately, my flight was cancelled, and I will get to come back tomorrow, not dreading the waits and otherwise impersonal randomness of airport encounters. Arlene Grove read more

Review of District Market - Terminal A, BWI Airport I had a very disappointing customer service experience at District Market in Terminal A at BWI Airport. I purchased a sweatshirt and immediately tried it on in the restroom. I discovered it was too small, so I returned to the store within a short time to request a refund. Instead of addressing my request promptly, the employee refused to issue a refund and had me wait for more than 30 minutes while he continued assisting other customers. I was never given the same level of attention or courtesy that other customers received, and there was no effort to resolve the situation in a timely or respectful manner. Whether or not the store's policy allowed a refund, customers deserve to be treated with professionalism, respect, and clear communication. The extended wait and dismissive treatment made an already disappointing situation much worse. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend shopping at District Market in Terminal A. I hope management reviews its customer service practices and ensures employees treat all customers with courtesy and address concerns promptly. read more

I don't expect much from an airport convenience store - overpriced snacks, bland prepared food, and books that no one buys. I also don't expect the cashier to be yelling into her phone (on speaker) to a friend and ignoring customers altogether. Miserable place. EDIT: we had a 2 hour wait due to a delayed flight. Walked to grab a sandwich which was easily accessible. Went to pay and pulled out my ID since I work for an airline . The lady rang my sandwich up with out looking at my ID and then she looked up and said I needed to let her know before she rang me to . I said I had it out but you didn't bother to look up . And when I asked for a receipt she turn around and I saw the receipt so I grab it because she wasn't going to bother and hand it to me . I get that it's late but I'm not asking you to be my friend just a little courtesy is what humans need nowadays !! read more

I went there to purchase earbuds as 8 left mine home. I asked for assistanc/attention not once, not twice but three times and when I thought the man was coming to help me he went into the storage room instead. Racist? Biased? or Prejudiced? You pick. Went to buy a charging cable because mine was lost and then when at self checkout, cashier was behind me talking to other customers saying i'm moving too slow repeatedly for the machine while i was adding money to my card to use. Very rude. Then once i found out that the cord didn't fit into the outlets had to go back to buy an outlet and while no receipt was even printed for me and then came to my seat to have someone offer their outlet, so i go to return and both workers were very rude liking at me in disgust when i returned, having to get their attention the man said okay so i could get a refund then when the lady associate saw me they both immediately said no and it said no refunds in the receipt and they never even gave me one! when i was there five minutes before. I bought a cord for my phone.it did not fit.When I came back to exchange it they did not have the right cord and would not issue a refund.spoke to Mgr and sales slip says no credits. Horrible treatment! I wenf to buy a coke, gave the young tattooed clerk 3 dollars and waited for change. When she opened the cash drawer she immediately got irritated bc I she "forgot she does not have change" she put a few pennies on the counter and told me that I if I wanted I could have those. I said no problem, I can pay withh CC. Apparently that was not possible. As she fiddled with the keyboard she got more and more irritated and started yelling at me "I have no change, do you want me to get the change from my purse?" Another clerk came to help but no, I was not able to pay with CC. I got my money back and no coke. Never found a more absurd situation. read more

TERRIBLE SERVICE Just a short bit ago I walked into the small shop, I picked out the cord that I was going to buy. I am standing at the counter with it with the rude and unprofessional employee whose initials are L MC says to me in a loud voice Mam you can not open that it's agains the law. To which I replied first by stating I am buying the cord and am confirming the plug is correct. Again she said in a loud voice with a customer in the store as well I Said it's against the law to open something in the store. First and foremost she should have NEVER raised her voice and second she needs some Training of basic customer service. I then said where I am from you can open your product and it's not against the law I a, buying it. She then said no it's against the law. At which time I said can I get your name please she immediately three her fright forearm out with her bade. Before I even finished paying as I said I would be filing a complaint I'm going to pay she's on the phone with "her supervisor" telling her that she told me nicely and another customer is now behind me in line. Rude and obnoxious she is and I am confident she has a serious issues with some individuals and was very rude and disrespectful. Poor service, Poor example of an employee disrespectful and she needs some culture awareness training as well. read more

I was getting a beverage at the District Market in BWI when I heard yelling by the cashier. she was on speaker phone arguing with someone while ignoring an elderly paying customer. He asked her to stop screaming and she went off on him. After the customer left I approve pay out and she continued to yell at whoever was on her phone. I told her she needed to tone it down and that she was being incredibly rude. she proceeded to yell at me to which I told her she's in the customer service industry and that she needed to look for a different line of work. this was at 4:20 on Sunday the 28th. please find this employee and do something. read more
