I called again and left a message reminding her that I was waiting to hear back from her. No call back. I called one last time telling her that the situation was very serious and I needed to know if Dr. Choy could possibly help my brother, otherwise we'd have to make other arrangements. I literally begged Erica to give me the courtesy of a return call. I never heard from them. I came for my most recent ACL and Meniscus tear and let me say, THANKFULLY I found Erica, Jackie, Eleni, Clarissa and the rest of the team at Ivy Rehab when I did. I heard they were the "Knee Queens" and they did NOT disappoint. My first call to them was on a Sunday and my voicemail was returned by Erica within 20 minutes. We scheduled my first evaluation before I even had my surgery and she knew exactly how to handle my injury since she's seen it a million times (I've heard she actually goes to watch the occasional surgery to stay on top of trends and how to best work with her post-op patients) My "pre-hab" went so smoothly that I was actually able to (carefully) get back to shooting around in the gym before my surgery. The surgery went well and I was back at Ivy within a week (I have to mention that going back was a treat since these ladies are so much fun to be around, despite all the hypothetical butt-kicking) My first time walking after surgery was with Richa which she sent video of to a group chat with Erica and Jackie. The support I received from this team is unlike anything I thought I'd ever experience based on my previous therapy experience. I will continue to recommend this group to anyone I come across and already made sure they are in-network with my new insurance provider so I'll always have them in my back pocket. Originally, I chose this practice because they listed a North Brunswick location near me. However, I was told the nearest psychiatry office was actually in Bayonne. I settled for Telemed, but the administrative nightmare made even that impossible. Every time you call, you are stuck on hold for ages. Even after telling the automated system which doctor you need, a call center agent picks up and asks the same questions. I am fairly certain I was dealing with a call center in India every time. When you finally get transferred to the doctor's assistant, the connection is so poor and choppy it's hard to hear anything. The assistant even admitted her internet connection was poor. Most recently, I was placed on hold for 40 minutes only to be disconnected, forcing me to start the entire process over again. They have a practice app, but it is useless. I have messaged the office and Dr. Forgarthy through it multiple times, and no one ever responds. The only time the app "works" is a few days before an appointment when they want your money--they are very consistent about calling to collect payment, even when the actual service is nonexistent. Dr. Forgarthy actually no-showed for my daughter's second appointment. Later, when we reached out for a diagnosis letter for college, she told my daughter she would need a second appointment just to get the letter, claiming colleges require a diagnosis within three months of the semester. This is false; most schools accept a diagnosis from within the last three years. When I finally got through to the assistant after being hung up on and sitting on hold again, she admitted that a second appointment wasn't even necessary. The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing at this office. It is a massive headache and feels like a total cash grab. Save yourself the stress and go elsewhere. They don't even deserve one star.
