Reading the reviews I can see they do this a lot when they dont wanna deal with kids. He was the only one being called out of behavior he has never shown before. Instead of doing her job as a teacher, she would just kick him out of the class room and make lies about him. I am investigating laws about discrimination in school and will escalate if necessary. They even made it seem like my son has an issue, he is only 4 and it's his first week in pre-k and these so-called teachers did nothing but complaint about a 4-yo kid being a 4-yo kid.

Founders Classical Academy Las Vegas…read more Our family's experience with Founders Academy has been deeply disappointing and troubling. Based on our interactions with school leadership, we do not feel that this school respects its students or their parents, particularly families from the Black community. We raised a serious concern after our son was spoken to by a teacher using language we found inappropriate and unacceptable. When we attempted to address the issue directly and respectfully, our concerns were dismissed and redirected rather than acknowledged. Despite clearly communicating the urgency of the matter to school leadership, we were ignored for days before a meeting was finally scheduled. When we did meet with leadership, instead of being heard, we were repeatedly interrupted, talked over, and made to feel as though our concerns were invalid. Our child's experience was dismissed outright, despite the fact that students were the only witnesses present during the incident. The focus was consistently shifted away from the actual issue and onto controlling the conversation rather than resolving the problem. Most alarming was the escalation by a member of leadership, who accused my husband of being aggressive simply for using his hands while speaking and went so far as to threaten to call the police. This was completely unwarranted and deeply disturbing. For Black families, threats of law enforcement are not just inappropriate they are intimidating and harmful. No parent calmly advocating for their child should ever be treated this way. Unfortunately, this behavior reflects a pattern. Prior interactions with the same administrator have been marked by rudeness, condescension, and a lack of professionalism. At no point did we feel respected, supported, or valued as parents. A school should be a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for children and families. Based on our experience, Founders Academy failed to meet that standard. We strongly caution other parents especially Black families to carefully consider whether this is a school environment where their voices will truly be heard and their children treated with dignity.

While Candil Hall offers a great curriculum, there are too many problems that contribute to a poor…read morelearning experience for children. First, the staff turnover is incredible. One year my daughter had 3 different teachers. Each year they seem to have all new teachers and staff is constantly coming and going- other than about half of the teachers who are all related to the owner. The school is family owned which can contribute to a family feel of the school overall. However, if you are not related to the family, personal friends with the family, or volunteer with the school, your child and your family will be outcasted and excluded. Only some kids are invited to play sports. Kids they do not want on their sports teams are not even invited to try out. The principal/owner Mr. Diller regularly yells and swears at the kids. He is demeaning and borderline abusive to the students. Candil Hall also allows bullying and in some cases promotes or praises students who bully. Children who are bullied are not protected by the school. They get no help even when they feel so unsafe they don't want to go to school. Student to student threats are not taken seriously. It's incredibly disappointing the lack of concern and support shown to children at this school. While my child did leave there more advanced academically, she also left there with psychological trauma, fear, distrust of schools and teachers, and overwhelming feelings of confusion because she felt so unsafe in the place that she should feel the safest. I regret ever sending my child to this school and wish I could undo all of the trauma Candil Hall has caused her. Additionally, if you ever have any issues with the teachers, the staff, the family, etc. you will be talked negatively about and they will spread rumors to other parents about you. This school is not worth it, please look elsewhere.

My daughter is going into 4th grade now, and she still remembers this place and her teachers. Pretty incredible since she was here from ages 2-5. Very friendly, family oriented staff, that takes the time to get to know you and your kid(s). I think the bad reviews for this place are from "Karen's" that won't be happy anywhere.
