I called this dental office to schedule a routine cleaning and politely mentioned that my last experience with their hygienist felt subpar -- I paid full price for what felt like a half-effort cleaning. Instead of showing any concern, the receptionist (Mary) was immediately dismissive. She flat-out told me that if I didn't like their performance, I should find somewhere else to go. As a fellow business owner, I was shocked by the lack of professionalism. A reasonable response would have been to ask more about my concerns and consider addressing them internally -- not to push a patient out the door with sarcasm and a "good luck." This office clearly doesn't value long-term clients or community relationships. Discovery Bay is a small town, and word gets around. I'll be sharing my experience on other platforms to ensure others are aware of the level of customer service being offered here -- or lack thereof. read more

Dr. Sandu, her Hygienists, and office staff have been outstanding to work with over the past 3 years. My first visit was while I was 6 months pregnant and I felt I got the care and attention that a very tired/irritable pregnant woman needed to feel better :) The kind, diligent care continued over the years with my loved ones and now my 2 yr old angel. Dr. Sandu responded to my emergency call a few weeks back and she made herself available the same day, examined the issues as soon as we got there, then promptly urged us to go to urgent care (w/sincre concern), providing us w/ her suspected diagnosis. She was right about the diagnosis! Her office even called us the next day to check on our health I'm forever grateful for Dr. Sandu's care for her patients (like family) above her profits (which we hope she has plenty of). 3 1/2 weeks ago we called to get an appointment for our son. The person on the phone took our insurance information and scheduled our appointment - they wanted the insurance info to make sure everything was correct. About a week later, they called and asked us to change our appointment - no problem we didn't mind. Then about a week before the appointment we realized we couldn't make it on that date- so we asked to change it back to the old appointment date and the person on the phone said that the date was never changed. (weird - but OK we can make it) Now - the business day before our appointment, they called to tell us they don't accept our insurance. Not the best customer service. The whole reason we sent our insurance info to them was to ensure everything was going to be ok with the appointment. read more

Dr Mike Todorovic had to sell his practice for medical reasons. Unfortunately the new dentist (Dr Sandhu) and the new staff is not as friendly. My husband and I both went in for cleanings and we were both told that we needed to have a tooth pulled. We both just had new x-rays taken and I wanted to go get a 2nd opinion. They emailed me 1 picture and I called and asked for all of the x-rays. Five days later and numerous phone calls, we have finally received x-rays. Apparently this Dr. doesn't know that per HIPPA any medical practice has to provide you with your medical records. Showed my X-RAY to one specialist and response was save the tooth. I went to Periodontist and also was told that there is no need to pull the tooth. Everyone should get 2nd opinion or 3rd if she wants to pull your teeth. read more

Dr Todorovic has sold the practice to someone else and is no longer the owner. Another doctor (Dr Sandhu) has taken over the practice. Sadly, this is not the same friendly place it once was and I will have to travel outside of our community for a dentist now. The new owner is horrendous. read more

Dr. Sandhu has amazing credentials and is highly qualified. I find her charming, easy to talk with, and very thorough. We are lucky to have her in our community. Delta Dental sets the rates so I am pleased as my care is then covered. read more

I've read the poor reviews elsewhere on social media and understand why. I was not impressed at all with staff or the doctor at all.

Today I had a tooth and was seen by Dr French. He explained my options and his dental assistant MARIA was wonderful! I was impressed how the team made time for me on such short notice. The office is very clean and neat. I highly recommend this dental practice. read more

Have been going to Dr. Mike for years. He has sold his practice due to his health. Had a chance to go to new doctor (Dr. Sandhu) and had a pleasent experience. The staff was as friendly as before and Dr. Sandhu was very pleasent and professional. She is a specialist and after examining, gave me 2 treatment plans. Clearly explained the benefits and concerns with both plans and gave the upfront cost associated with each plan. Overall it was a good experience and i will continue her as my dentist. I met Dr. Rimple Sandu, DMD in Oct. 2018. I was nervous about being one of her first patients in her recently purchased business. I did some research into her credentials and my concerns evaporated. Dr. Sandhu knows what she is doing. She did an extraction, bone graft and implant for me. As with all implants I need to wait for the crown. She moved expertly through the procedures, asked me how I was feeling throughout with many thumbs up as a response, telephoned me to check how I was doing, and even answered my early morning call on one occasion. I am delighted that we have such a competent, well trained professional here in Discovery Bay, one who can handle all my dental issues. Based upon my experience, Dr. Mike did his former patients a big favor when he sold his practice to Dr. Sandhu, who can do both regular dentistry and endodontics. read more

I don't even know where to begin, but I'll start by saying Dr. Sandhu is extraordinary! For the last 15 years of my life I've been extremely self conscious about my teeth following a bad chip and have been struggling with whether or not to replace my problem areas with veneers for years. After my first appointment with her she told me she could help and she absolutely did. I'm a very nervous anxious patient and she and her staff treated me with so much kindness and consideration during my several mini breakdowns prior to the procedure. She walked me through every step and was always honest about what I should expect and how it would feel. After going to Dr. Todorovic for almost my whole life I can honestly say I am so happy to have another incredible dentist taking care of me and my beautiful teeth! I was literally crying tears of joy when I left her office. She gave me back a part of my self confidence that I had been lacking for several years.
