The room was pretty nice, though things are starting to age like the lights. We got our own balcony where we could look at the water. Free complementary breakfast. Wifi is free but slow. I spend a lot of time at the beach and I have a lot of respect for what they do at the Tortugario…read more They are responsible for a huge stretch of coastline and making sure that as many turtle eggs as possible actually hatch and are able to scurry out to the ocean. They have a number of pools where they keep two different species of sear turtles, iguanas, and crocodiles. The highlight of the adventure is taking a boat tour around the estuary. South of Manzanillo there are a series of estuaries that get relatively less salty the farther you go. They produce that awesome rock salt in the ones closer to Manzanillo. The estuary behind the Tortugario has water that is much more hospitable to wildlife. There are lots crocodiles, tons of birds, snakes, iguanas and all sorts of wildlife that backs up all the way to the freeway. The tour costs a little bit more, but is well worth the price of admission. Every time I am in Cuyutlan I am trying to make time to go check out the estuary tour again. Take your camera and enjoy the scenery.

From the surface it appeared to be a large rock sitting in the middle of a large bay, below was vertical walls that went down more than 80 feet beneath the ocean. We circled the rock as we we descended observing all sorts of sea life. I tried looking up the name of the fish we saw all over the place but I couldn't find it. It was a smaller fish but it's dorsal fin rose above the fish and appeared to be longer than the fish itself? This dive took us to eighty feet, we motored over to La Boquita and anchored near the wreck that is right off shore. This was a little more difficult of a dive being that the deepest we got was 25 feet, it's a little harder to managed your buoyancy in that shallow of water. Still had a great time with Terry, who is a excellent guide to the underwater world of Manzanillo!

We…read morecompleted the pool session (2 hours long) and cancelled the rest at the suggestion of the owner. Out of the 6,000 pesos he only offered 1,000 for a refund. When I asked why he said "cost of materials". The "materials" was the PADI log book which is a tiny paperback pamphlet with 80 pages total. So that cost him $300 apparently...nice, right? Take your business to someone who isn't a con artist.

I give it it the 5 stars for the following: -customer service -architecture -relaxing environment -Food There are a couple things I have to mention as when you book this resort you must be aware of where you are staying. This is Las Hadas, an aged resort with character (Santorini in Mexico) Do not expect to see modern flawless rooms where there is not one defect, the rooms have aged, however, that does not take away from the cleanliness of the room and the quality of all other services. You can expect a relaxing environment, this is not a place you want to stay if you are trying to have a fun and rowdy stay. The resort has a buffet restaurant, two reservation restaurants and one seafood restaurant. I highly recommend to make reservation for the more prestigious restaurants. They do have a spa area where the staff is awesome. All in all, this is a very nice resort. The service and architecture keeps me coming back.
