Came in as a walk in to check on my tire sensor being lit up. This place was busy for a saturday morning around 8am ish. This place was organized as far as getting customers in as walk in , with appointments etc. They had a hand held machine to control traffic and to help customers ease the wait time to be serviced. They will ask for your name and phone number and the text message will route you when they are ready to service you. They spoke to me that since i had warranty cards on my 4 tires that my payment will be about $14 if I needed a new tire (1) . After they took my car in - They resolved the issue as a valve issue and they replaced the tire valve and it was a free service. The frustrating part about this was the icon was still lit up. So they informed me to give it about 15-20 mins and the icon should be gone. Well I drove the car nearby and it still was there - the icon. So I went back to the location and told them I will need this cleared because I was not comfortable driving with tire issues after leaving them. I waited until a staff assisted me clearing the icon. So far the icon did not pop up. I also noticed that the staff says things that is not there - example - i requested my receipt to be EMAILED to me and the employee stated it was emailed. So I waited enough that the email was not popping up on my inbox. Come to find out - the system NEVER HAD MY EMAIL ADDRESS. So i asked the employee - how did u send the receipt without my email address in the system? He then asked another employee STEPS to email my receipt AFTER HE ASKED ME MY EMAIL ADDRESS. He looked like a new employee because he didnt know steps on such a thing as far as his tasks. Overall this place is not bad its the fact that I drove off still having the icon lit up after they fixed the issue and not being honest about having my email address. read more

Everything was great coming in. TILL, they took my money. They didn't rotate my tires and somehow my air pressure in my tires went down. I went back in to let them know my tires weren't rotated the way I asked them to do it. They laughed at me and refused to finish the job. I'll never step foot in this place ever again. very unprofessional to their customers. I'd steer clear of this place. If they don't do the job right, you're stuck with it. Every time I visit this location, it takes 45 minutes to over an hour just to check in for an appointment because they take phone calls while they have people standing in front of them. The last time I visited, I was scolded by Cyle (with a C) and told that this was company policy when I asked why they kept taking phone calls while they were helping customers and had several customers in line. Ordered my tires online through tire rack and had them sent to Discount Tire. I called when I ordered the tires with the estimated time of arrival being a Friday. Unfortunately because of work I wouldn't get them changed out until Tuesday. Fast forward to Thursday and the tires arrived early. Thursday worked for me whereas the following day (Friday) didn't. I called them and said I saw the tires arrived to their shop and if there was any chance they could do them that day. While they said they had no openings I could come in and they'd get them done. I arrived at 2 like they asked me and told me ideally they could get it done by 315. My car sat in the lot until 315 but by 330 I was driving out of there on my new tires. They were busy but fit me in last minute rather than let me drive on my bald tires until Tuesday. Everyone in the shop that I dealt with was friendly and had great customer service. Amazing experience today at Discount Tire in Winter Haven, Fl! I was in Central Fl to visit a relative and one tire on my Airport rental car kept losing air. I contacted Discount Tire to make an appointment to evaluate the situation so that I could apprise the Car Rental company exactly what was needed. There were no appts available, but I was encouraged to show up as a "walk in" to be evaluated. The business (late afternoon) was packed with others doing the same; and with scheduled customers bringing in and picking up their serviced vehicles. Three lines with friendly, efficient service agents were working tirelessly to process everyone! "Wes" soon evaluated my rental car tire and pointed out that it was old, getting bald and had been "plugged" for a hole before; and that for safety reasons, he offered that Discount Tire pro's could remove the bum tire and place the spare on (for free!) tonight; and that I should let the rental company know the tire losing air was balding and would need replacement or a vehicular exchange. Discount Tire replaced my my spare after hours--they worked two hours beyond "closing" to accommodate all of us who came in panicked late day with tire woes. I was simply astounded. Their specialists are also dedicated, hardworking, efficient, professional and team players. It appears that they take great pride in their work. They all seem to understand that many clients are in crisis, and take it to heart. Thank you Wes, and your amazing team for making my day so much better via your knowlegeable and efficient service; for not charging me for your time and work; and for helping me navigate the situation with the rental car company. Around Midnight, Alamo sent a helpful agent from a tow company who promptly towed away the rental and delivered a replacement sedan (from Orlando Airport) to the Airbnb where I am staying near Winter Haven. Let me begin by saying that my family has shopped Discount Tire for most of my life. For my car, I knew the brand/model/size tire I wanted and shopped around to find the best deal. Discount Tire didn't have the best deal this time but I found that they price match. So after speaking with one of the store managers, and understanding that I needed to bring in the winning quote fir them to match, I booked an appointment for service. I had already ordered my tires in advance so I knew they were there in stock. We arrived at the store earlier than our appointment and waited for just a few min before a store associate was open to help us. He looked over the quote, took my keys, examined my old tires on the car and gave me a completion time of less than an hour. They were completed in the time period he gave me. My experience with his discount tire was great.In the past of used the Pep Boys across the street, but this time I was in urgent need of tires, and Pep Boys did not have a competitively price selection on hand. Discount tire did, so I made an appointment online so I picked my tires. It was very busy, however since I had an appointment and my car was taken in right away. I had a blowout so I had a donut on one of my wheels. The technician had asked is the wheel in the trunk, and I said yes. They took out the flat tire and wheel and noticed that the rim was bent when trying to balance. Luckily, they sell rims so everything's fine and dandy and the service is well above average. Everyone was polite. This felt like the Publix of tire shops. They did forget to put the spare back but the manager, Michael, called me and remedied that. read more

Every time I come, they give me an estimated time of completion and never get it done, whether it's 1.5 hours or 2 hours. I bought tires on another visit, made an appointment and still had an over 2 hour wait. Today, I called at 1046 and asked what was the wait time for a flat repair. They said 1.5 hours because it would be a walk-in. I asked did they have appointments for today and they said NO. I arrived at 11 and waited in line 10 minutes to check in and was told it would be done in 1hr and 10 minutes (1222). It's 1230 and they still have not pulled my car in. When asked about the wait, they said they had "unexpected appointments" and we were given an incorrect wait time. How do they have "unexpected appointments" if there were NO appointments available at 1046?! I really despise being given a mouth of deception. My son went to have tires rotated for trip home. Shop claimed they broke a wrench trying to get one lug nut off and refused to try further. Tires were last rotated by a different Discount Tire so if anything is over-torqued it was by them! What kind of tire shop doesn't try to get wheels off a car? How do you stay in business if you cannot service repeat customers? I have purchased 5 sets of tires for 5 different cars from Discount Tire over the last 5 years (including the set on my son's car he was trying to have rotated), all on record with them but no more. I had a screw in one of my Michelin tires. I am in Lake Suzy so there is no discount tire close to me. Called the one in Winter Haven and they said to come on up. I arrived around 1:00 o'clock and they got me in within 10 minutes. My tire warranty is with Discount Tire. Kyle and Wesley were the two service writers I worked with. The tire was fixed within 45 minutes at no charge. These guys were polite and professional. I will continue to do business with Discount Tire. Just hope they build one around Port Charlotte. The service was so amazing from the moment that I arrived in a tow truck with my van. They met me before I could even get out of the truck to help me. They then informed me that I had the wrong tires on my vehicle. They took great care of me. Brad was very genuine and showed that he care. He told me that he just wanted me to be safe out there driving. All I could do is cry because of his acts of kindness. Something is wrong here. You can see the reviews are good, but I would be circumspect if I were you. This is my experience. Summer of 2021 went into this store to buy 4 new tires. They had several adults working there but they had kids from a high school shop class (or maybe a vocational school) install my tires while 4 men stood around and (partially) watched them. One child opened my power rear gate and it struck another child who was holding a tire. That was the highlight of their expertise and professionalism. They upsold me on the wipers and I thought by maximizing my purchase that would increase the customer service performance. Of course I was wrong. None of the prices felt like a discount and the quality of service was subpar to put it mildly. All of this was a shame because I visited one of their sister stores in Lakeland 18 months earlier and they provided good service and a quality product. My advice, caveat emptor. read more

I almost never review companies but I had to for this experience. I was visiting LEGOLAND from Fort Lauderdale and had a screw in my tire. It was Saturday at 3:30pm and needed it fixed before leaving Monday morning. After being turned away by a competitor I called and they told me to come in immediately. Not only did they fix it right before close on Saturday night of a long weekend they did it for FREE!! Cyle (the manager?) was so nice and efficient in his job. Outstanding! I drove from Lakeland to visit this location based on its 5 star review. I made an appointment earlier in the day for a simple tire puncture repair and drove about an hour and a half round trip. Jacob (they call him Jake) checked me in and a short time later I received a text saying my car was ready. I spoke to Wes on the way out who cleared my tire warning light. My visit was extremely pleasant and I would drive here again for any type of service and I'll be buying new tires here soon.
