I had my Subaru inspected this morning and decided to stop by Discount Tire for an air pressure check on my way out to Staunton. I pulled the car into the station and before I could even get to the front door a guy came running out and asked if I needed an air pressure check. He was on it! I think he was the same guy who did it last time but I did not get a name. I got a report on all 4 tires, pressure when I got there and how much was needed. I had a really good experience at the Midlothian Discount Tire where I bought these Continentals, another well run Discount Tire. Efficient, helpful, good price on tires, easy. I really think the Waynesboro store is top level service, good people, quality work. I will definitely use them when I get the next tires. You cannot go wrong with the Waynesboro store, or the Midlothian store. Thanks guys at Waynesboro Discount Tire on 1/5/26! Discount Tire offered the best rates in the area for changing tire pressure sensors at $63 plus taxes each compared to $80-120 elsewhere. The customer service is fantastic, and they move you through as quickly as possible despite being a very busy business. My first visit to Discount Tire and I have to say I was very impressed. I was greeted immediately and was given a quote for the work I wanted done. During the work they saw an issue with my lug nuts that I also remembered having trouble with but had forgotten about. There was no pressure to replace them but wanted to make me aware of the issue. So I let them replace them. These guys hustle and do excellent work. I also like that they play music in the shop. Keep up the great work!!! read more

The waiting area is really nice, they have water for guest and and tire pressure gauge pens, I think that is a really nice touch for all guest!! I've been over due for my first tire rotation.. no one ever told me about them (lol) but for reference you need them every 5000-7500 miles. And discount tire will rotate them for free; even if you didn't purchase your tires from them!! I made an appointment for 4:30 on my way back to Richmond from Roanoke & I got there around 3, & they were still able to assist me ASAP. I just had enough time to browse Kohls before I got the call my car was done! Everyone at the shop was very respectful & friendly. All great guys working there! And the shop was clean & hospitable. &tldr; 5 stars for the techs who actually did the work, but -1 star for the lack of communication between the service advisor and the techs. We've been traveling cross country in our Winnebago-converted RAM Promaster 3500 camper van and were badly in need of a tire rotation, so made an appointment and brought our van in. The service advisor was very friendly during check-in, and I made sure to tell him that 1) there's all sorts of very expensive plumbing and electrical added under the van, and that the "safe jack points" have been spray painted fluorescent pink, and 2) the wheel bolts strip easily so have to be started by hand before power tools are used to tighten them. I watched as the van was pulled in techs started working on the van 10 minutes later, and got alarmed when I saw floor jacks being inserted under the van in all the wrong spots. I was able to talk to one of the techs before they tried raising the rear (with one poised in a location known to crack sewer drain pipes), and it was clear that the service advisor hadn't relayed my instructions through. The tech was very polite, friendly, understanding, and cooperative though; he asked me to point out the jack points and was happy to use them. The techs were efficient and clearly knew what they were doing; great guys all around. I'm definitely less thrilled with the service advisor who checked us in, though. Bottom line: great place to get work done, but if your vehicle has "special needs", watch the work being done and talk to the techs directly if necessary. read more

I had a great experience at Discount Tire this week. After a blowout on our travel trailer, we were having a hard time finding tires for our upcoming trip. With a tight timeline Discount Tire was able to get me in the next day. I'll be honest, they wanted to get me in that afternoon (I called 90 minutes before closing), but I was still 45 minutes away. Charles gave me great directions on the best way to get the trailer into the shop. They had plenty of room to service the travel trailer. I was in and out in about 40 minutes. I was super impressed. The trailer felt great driving home, not that this is a direct correlation, but got almost 2 mpg better heading home over Afton mountain. Even being 45 minutes away, Discount Tire has gained a customer for life. When my truck needs new tires, I'll be heading their way. read more

Discount Tire takes walk-ins and that is a godsend. In the past I have been somewhat dissatisfied with discount tire (not excited about only seeing impact tools around the shop; I t's faster to use these tools, but it's a real pain for me if I ever want to take the wheels off my car in the future since the lug nuts will be over tightened). In my most recent visit, I was very satisfied. Over a year ago, I got tires with them and ended up shelling out the tire protection because you never know. I ended up losing air in one of the tires and after a week of filling up every day, I knew I had to visit Discount Tire. Because I had bought the tire insurance, I got my entire tire-patching service for free! Their staff is always nice and when I was asked the obligatory question: "when was the last time you changed your wipers?" I did actually have a need for the rear wiper which is a funky wiper not in stock in many stores. They had it in stock for 16-17 dollars and installed it for free! I only went to just get a tire patched, and ended up leaving with a patched tire, a new wiper, and clean tires in just a couple of hours (as a walk-in nonetheless!). They have a good location, so I was able to do some window shopping down the hill as well to kill time. Overall good experience, and I would recommend them. read more

WOW! What amazing service!! My family was in the Waynesboro area from Richmond VA for a funeral when we noticed we had a flat tire. Called Discount Tire and they told us to come on in they would take care of us! And they did just that! They were a able to patch our tire and get us back on the road in no time! I went in for a simple tire rotation. It comes free with the set of tires I purchased 1 year ago. The guy wants to do a quick inspection, which tells me 'Let's sell more things'. He proceeds to tell me that the front tire is showing wear and that it needs to be replaced. It may be an alignment issue. I told him not to worry about it and rotate the tires that he could. I told him I am only planning on keeping the car for 1 more month and trade it. I go inside and then he wants to give me a 'new tire'. I told him no, and just rotate the tires. He said he couldn't. I told him to give me my keys and I was going to leave. That wasn't good enough. He still continued to try and get me a new tire. I got my keys and left. You would think that would be the end of it. The store manager follows me out and tries to explain the situation and it is a minimal cost. I told him that basically, I spent $700 on a set of 50,000 mile tires which 1 has gone bad after just 10,000 miles. Never again will i go there. I will stick with Walmart or Costco going forward. They're lucky I can't give them a 0 star rating. read more

I brought my vehicle in to replace a tire valve stem and pressure sensor the weekend before Thanksgiving. Needless to say, the business was quite busy. Irregardless, I was very pleased with my experience. The service coordinators were very pleasant and courteous, and kept me informed about the time needed to install the replacement, as well as the progress being made. I am a car guy. I have been hesitant to use Discount Tire as I was anxious about the rims on my M6 and what the result would be if I were to change 4 tires. Well, I was wrong to be hesitant. Service was fantastic, store including the work area was spotless and the folks in the Waynesboro store (Derrick and Charles) were really outstanding. Due to Covid, I couldn't find the stock tire for my 2010 Jeep Gr Cherokee which I wasn't that fond of anyway. Picked a replacement set from many options on-line at Discount, and scheduled the appt for installation. They called to verify.
