I live in Honor about 30 miles outside of TC. I usually stop by if I'm in town for them to check my tires for air. After only a week one tire was 7psi low and I asked them if they did repairs, they said yes and told me there was no charge for this work, I was pleasantly surprised. They had the tire off and repaired it in about 15 min. Fast forward another week and the light goes on again it turns out I have a screw in another tire and they have to order. It's memorial day weekend and they tell me the following Thursday it will be in. They order it on trust no deposit was asked for but the installed price was discussed. That Thursday I'm in the area about 15 min before closing time. I sheepishly ask at the check-in if they could help or if I needed to come back. Literally, 10 minutes later I was on my way with a new tire installed. I have purchased from other Discount Tile locations in the past and the customer service, knowledge, courtesy, and fair treatment will make me a repeat customer of this TC Location! read more

Excellent customer service! Traveling out of town on nearly brand new tires; got a nail (machine screw) in the tire. They quickly and accurately diagnosed the tire, were able to patch the puncture, AND DIDN'T CHARGE ME FOR THE TIME OR REPAIR. While I waited for the repair (and not realizing they were doing it FOR FREE - who does that?), I witnessed at least a half dozen customer interactions that I can only describe as "top notch." From top to bottom, from the shop to the customer service reps, this outfit is super professional. That review was going to be how efficient everything was and how people seemed to both work hard and take their time making sure things were done right. I just had my tires rotated and same vibe. Thanks to the guys that balanced and rotated my tires. I did not have an appointment but they fit me in anyway. I was in and out within 45 minutes. Since I bought my tires at a discount tire, I did not have to pay. Apparently the balance was good. They did away with a little shimmy that I had in the front end and explained that the tires were definitely out of balance when I brought the car in. You have to love my Indiana roads. While I'm happy overall with the recent tire service performed (new tires) by the actual service technicians, I'm dropping this review down to 3 stars all on the account of the front of the store rep. 'Anthony'- he's really not very personable/friendly, seems to prefer typing away on his computer through his thick eye glasses, making you wait for a very long periods (without ever making eye contact).....and could be borderline racist too? In any event Anthony just doesn't fit the typical mold of friendly Discount Tire service representatives that I've personally interacted with over the past 10+ years so I'm going to categorize Anthony as an ANOMOLY and will continue to patronize Discount Tires despite my less then favorable experience at this store (early July 2019)- I just hope mgmt. notices his rogue/unfriendly attitude and corrects it, or gets rid of this clown altogether- he might be better suited to clean up the restrooms at the Macy's across the street...just sayin. read more

We were vacationing up in the Traverse City area and noticed one of the tires on our car was very worn. We didn't want to take a chance on a blowout on the way home so I went online to look at getting a new tire. I chose Discount Tire because I was able to buy the tire and schedule the installation online. We arrived for our appointment about 2:20, someone came out to speak to us and we were on a lift getting the tire by 2:35. No contact with the inside of the store at all. Luke was our service tech and he did a great job. I would definitely return to this place and would try one in Grand Rapids the next time I need a tire. read more

I have been a DT customer for as long as I can remember and it's my go to place for tires. I have to comment that your automated phone system is absolutely horrendous. very difficult to get thru to a live person and wait times on line are way longer than is acceptable. might have to try another shop as you now have a frustrated customer. can't imagine I'm the only one. read more

Tried three weeks in a row to get my snow tires installed here and each time a sales associate told me something different. One guy told me to come drop my car off and they'll get to it at some point by midnight or I'll pick it up next day. so I made the time to drop off the car before they closed and was turned away again telling me that I can't leave my car here. I've been a discount tire customer for about 6 years and have bought 3 sets of tires from them and that'll be the last time I set foot in that store. I know for a fact that I could've left the car there because there's no way in hell they were getting to the 43 cars that were out in the lot tonight. Did I want to spend a day of my kind of vacation sitting in the waiting room of a Discount Tire, getting 4 new tires after getting a flat and the other 3 were close to being bald? No. Did I have to anyway? Yeah. The gentleman as the counter was sympathetic to my situation, but did his best to get me everything I needed in a timely manner. I was in and out in about an hour and half, which for a Saturday is not bad. I went in because I had a nail in my tire.. they close at 6 this was at 530, the place got busy at 535 every one working was professional and polite rather than turning people away they assured every one they would be helped even if it meant they all had to work late. That's a rare thing! To top it all off they plugged my tire with a lifetime guarantee on the repair. They replaced the valve as well all for free! I was heading out of town for a trip, when I noticed I had low tire pressure...sure enough, I had picked up a nail in my tire somewhere. I ran to Discount Tire on a Saturday morning at 11 am. I was on my way, and my tire fixed by 11:30...for free! I live in Tehachapi Ca. We are here in Traverse City for a wedding and drove our RV. I noticed the back dually tire getting a little low on pressure and added air and spent the night outside Three Rivers Mi. In the morning it was way low, so I inspected the tire for damage but could find nothing...figured a valve stem as they are the extended type. When I arrived in Traverse City I called Discount Tires and asked if they could check my situation out? They said "bring it in and they would get me fixed up"! Sure enough, they pulled the wheels off and found the 10 year old extensions had a small leak. They replaced the stems on the wheels but weren't able to get the extensions needed (kind of a specialty item)....but I was back on the road within an hour! Gotta say I was real surprised when they didn't charge me for the fix....out in California nothing gets fixed for free unless I bought the tires at their shop. We have taken 3 work trucks in recently for new tires. We have one more vehicle to return with but I highly doubt we will return after this fiasco. We first began by calling around for the best price. The gentleman on the phone was great and suggested a new-to-us tire that actually was a bit cheaper than we usually spend. We decide to give it a shot. We place an order for 12 of these tires to be ordered and held, pay the $25 deposit and schedule our appointment. We are 45 minutes away from Discount Tire... Vehicle #1 - We show up to our first appointment - they can only find 3 of 4 tires. We schedule an appointment to return AND we get a receipt showing the total for all THREE trucks. The gentleman had graciously offered us a discount due to the hassle of having to come back. Thankfully we got a receipt of this...you will find out why later on. We return for the second appointment for the first vehicle and have the tires installed and we are on our way. Vehicle #2 - We show up, tires are installed. We did not bring the receipt with us as we didn't expect to need it but they say they see no discount on our account. After a little while, the gentleman offers $50 off. We pay and inform them that we will bring the receipt with the next vehicle to show the discount owed to us. Vehicle #3 - We show up to our scheduled appointment. Mind you they have informed us that all tires are in (but they also did for Vehicle #1 as well). Would you be surprised to find out they can only find 3/4 tires? Believe me, I was too. Well to top it off - they were unaware that they only had 3 tires until AFTER removing all 4 of my tires. So, they put the 2 new tires on the front of the vehicle and put my old ones back on the back. They then put the third tire in the back of the truck so they did not lose it. You can't make this stuff up!! At this point, we are extremely frustrated for now having WASTED two separate trips for the same issue!! While we are here, we show them the receipt that showed the price we would be out the door for ALL THREE vehicles after the initial gentleman offered us a discount for their first issue. Even with the proof in their hands, they still "have no clue how we would get that price"...and on top of that - they were not even crediting the $25 deposit we were REQUIRED to pay. We leave and are told that they will contact us when the last tire is in - estimated 1-2 days. NOBODY calls so we call them 3 days later. After attempting literally for hours (phone rings and rings - replaying their greeting), someone answered (Anthony). He assures us he will look into this and return our call by 6 pm that day. Of course, no returned call. So, we call the next day and speak to someone else (Mike) - who AGAIN assures us he will call us back after he does some research. No surprise here BUT again, no returned call. So, we decided to show up the following day. They magically have our last tire - install it and we are on our way! Let me say - I am a pretty understanding person (I am a manager - I get that mistakes happen) especially now due to Covid delays AND I know they are busy with people getting their snow tires on...but even just a LITTLE follow-through would have made this experience better and I might not have felt the need to leave a review. We felt like they were irritated with us everytime we called - the only one who has the right to be irritated here is ME! We have one more vehicle and honestly - I'd rather pay more to go elsewhere than to deal with them again. I can understand showing up for 1 appointment and they have mistakenly lost a tire....but a second time that this happens? If my employees ran my business this way - they would no longer be my employees. read more

Can't praise this place enough! They deal with COVID restrictions very thoughtfully for the customer's comfort and schedule. Had to wait in car from beginning to end which was great as the customer has a birds-eye-view of the work going on.
