So I popped a tire on my gravel road, and put on the spare last fall before the cold weather came. I needed snow tires anyway, and so I decided to go to discount tire, as they said they do free flat repairs, even though my friend told me NOT to go there. I should have listened but I didn't. Anyway, I went there and purchased some snow tires, and asked them tp fix my regular tire, and waited patiently for them. Now I have an AWD vehicle, and if one tire is bad then ALL FOUR need replacement. They must have known this. After waiting for a while they came and told me the hole in my tire was way too large and it was non-repairable. They asked me if I needed 4 new tires. I said hell no, just give them to me and I'll take them. Then I took them where my friend had told me to go in the first place, montana tire company. They took one look and said no problem, The tire is totally repairable and they repaired. I'm still driving on that tire today. What a scam they have going on at discount tire. Bilking people for hundreds or thousands of dollars in new tires instead of simply fixing the repair in their tire. Some "free tire repair". Save yourself hassle and cash, go to montana tire company or ANYWHERE else! read more

My visit here was awesome. I was able to book an appointment online and find what I was looking for and if it was in stock before I ever set foot in the store. I showed up a bit early and was greeted immediately by Bret. I'm assuming he recognized my truck and was aware of the appointment in advance as he already knew what wheels and tires I was looking to have installed. He let me know they would test fit everything to ensure proper fitting and got the truck in the bay immediately. I was expecting to have to leave my truck there all day as that's the kind of service I usually get at tire shops, but they were completely finished in about 45 minutes and I was out the door. I returned the next evening right before close to have my wheels retorqued and was again immediately greeted by Bret from the bay. He knew why I was there and had the tech do the check and I was on my way. The customer service and above and beyond service I received here from Bret and the team was outstanding. Highly recommend this store, this team, and the products they offer along with the tire certificate protection for peace of mind. In case others can learn from my experience, here's why I probably won't buy tires here again. First, the good: the prices are cheap and the staff are friendly. They were very helpful in finding me a unique set of tires and wheels for an older vehicle at a good price. But the downside for me: communication might not be very straightforward, and if you don't put a lot of miles on your vehicle and plan to use your tires for a while, you might want to shop elsewhere. They have a policy saying they won't service tires that are older than 10 years, which might be common with big chain stores. But I've been getting 10+ year-old snow tires mounted and balanced for the last 7 years (at both chains and independents), and no one's mentioned that they're too old to be mounted (they are in good shape). I was tempted by the "free rotations" offered here and needed summer tires, so I bought a new set with wheels. No one at the shop told me when they took off the winter tires/wheels that they wouldn't be able to put them back on because they're over 10 years old, although I specifically asked if the free rotations included seasonal changeovers for mounted tires. When I went back for the rotation, they said they couldn't do it, but they did offer to sell me more new tires at a great price! Also, the brand new summer tires I bought here were already 3 years old, so I can only get 7 more years of service from Discount on them. So, I would not buy tires here again unless I: a) buy the cheapest tire with the lowest mileage warranty in the hopes that it will reach the end of it's life before they stop servicing it, b) don't have two sets of tires, which decreases the overall miles/year on each set, and c) drive more than 10k miles/year. There seem to be good reasons people shop at Discount, but given my needs and driving habits, I'll just go to a different franchise or independent shop next time. If you're in a similar situation, you might consider doing the same. read more

Store was spotlessly clean, including the restrooms. I used to buy my tires at another regional tire chain that carries Cooper tires, but no more. The employees completely rude and unwilling to help, but I had an appointment scheduled for two weeks, and I showed up on time for my appointment, only to find out they had not even studded my tires. I not only did not get them put on but I showed up the next day, only to find them NOT studded, again. This shop is not worth the supposed money you will save. read more

They mounted 2 riding mower tires for me at separate times. They were friendly, charged me nothing, I drank their coffee and was in and out in ten minutes each time. Dont see how it could be better. UPDATE After I posted my review, the manager of this Discount Tire branch called me. He said that it is not their policy to try to up-sale, and he was sorry about my experience. He said that he had my tire on order and would like to put it on my car for free because he was more concerned for my safety. I appreciate him making this right and accepted his offer. When I went back the staff went out of their way to apologize and to show me their attention to caring for the customer as their mission. It went a long way to building my trust and I will go back for my future tire needs. By the way, the other repair shop patch did not hold so I tend toward what they told me here about the need for a replacement rather than a patch. read more

Great service, and very pleasant staff. Ordered new tires, which they got in quick. I would give them five stars, but my sidewalls have some short of packaging tape on them which is going to be a pain to remove. They said they would removit if I brought my truck, but the problem is it's a 60 mile drive. I feel like I shouldn't be doing this on a set of new 1200 dollar tire, which I paid 80 dollars to have installed. They need better quality checks! read more

We were traveling through Helena and a few miles out noticed one of our tires was really low. We temporarily used fix a flat and headed to the nearest tire shop which was Discount Tires in Helena. They were able to get our car up and the tire off immediately. They repaired the hole, checked the air pressure in the other three and had us on our way in less than 30 minutes. When we asked how much do we owe we were so surprised that Discount Tires (or at least in Helena) does not charge to repair a flat tire! This actually happened to me in San Jose California many years ago but I thought because I had previously purchased tires from a different location they didn't charge me. Discount Tire is by far the best tire company for tires and after service support. You may be able to find a lower price for the tires you want but you won't receive the warranty coverage, flat repair or scheduled tire rotation at a lower price. I made an appointment for 9:30AM and was out the door with 4 new tires at 10AM. read more

I have to be honest, I initially called to simply make sure I was getting the best price for a new set of tires for my '76 pickup. They are an off size tire and another shop didn't have them in stock. After going over what I was looking for with Brad, he confirmed that the other store in fact was giving me the best advice on what to purchase. What I didn't expect is for them to be almost $200 cheaper for the same tires! Both stores had to order them so I had to wait either way. Once they were delivered to the store I literally only spent 45 minutes waiting for them to be installed. What a great experience! I cannot say enough about how the entire staff made me feel at home. I will definitely be going back for my wife's tires when the time comes.
