I have a regular set of wheels that MULTIPLE Discount Tires (ACROSS DIFFERENT STATES) that have been through tires however, this store won't even look at my car. Never had a single issue with getting these tires mounted or replaced until now. I guess they are too incompetent to do their job, maybe need new management then. Although they were very busy, they got me in and out in a timely manner. I had a unique issue and they explained everything to me in detail in language I could understand. I really appreciate this Discount tire here in Clute, Tx. I had come in jus to get a tire repaired and they went the extra mile and even repaired a stripped lug stud for no extra charge. I just wanted to tell you about the AMAZING service I received on Friday from Dustin at the Lake Jackson, Texas location on Oyster Creek Drive. So I took my Ram pickup in to get the air checked on the Michelins we bought there a few months ago. I shut the engine off so Dustin wouldn't have to deal with exhaust fumes from the truck. We exchanged pics of our dogs -- such a friendly guy -- but then when I went to restart the truck it wouldn't...because the keyfob (it has a keyless ignition) was with my wife who I'd dropped off to do some grocery shopping at the Kroger grocery a few hundred yards away. Incredibly, Dustin offered to go over to the store to get the keyfob from my wife on her way back from shopping (I'd called her panicking and she pulled herself out of the checkout line to begin walking back). Before I could call her to tell her she'd be approached by a Discount Tire employee, he'd already SPRINTED over there and had retrieved the keyfob to bail me out of my embarrassing situation. Thankfully, no one pulled up behind me wanting air because I was stuck. What fabulous customer service from this polite and friendly young man. I wanted to share this with you because he definitely went above and beyond what most people would do in that situation. I took my 2012 F250 to the Clute Firestone for what I thought was the "death wobble". They took my truck to the back and had prepared for an alignment and quickly notified me that I had damaged parts. I was not charged anything. I went on replaced the parts myself (my only regret) and came back to see Firestone almost 3 weeks later. They went out their way to align the terrible jobs that I had done and I went ahead and slapped on 4 new tires. Timing was awesome. Been to Discount Tire many times. Never disappointed.

What a day! In short: we were visiting Surfside Beach and the Brazoria county wildlife refuge center. Upon leaving the refuge, we realized our tire had blown. On a weekend. The center wasn't open and we had our two young girls in the car. Cell service was even limited. I happened to get in touch with Brian at Discount and he gave me some numbers to call to get air into our flat spare tire. The other places were unable to assist us. Brian, on his own, called us back to check in and see if we had received any help. We hadn't. He then gave me the number to the marina down the street. They were able to bring an air tank and refill our flat spare. Brian from discount checked in on us again before they closed for the evening. We told him we were on the way to get a tire from him. When we arrived, they immediately took care of us. We ran across the street for some food. Turns out, we didn't realize they were closing up shop before we finished eating. Brian drove our van over to the restaurant and came inside to hand us our keys. It was such an eventful and emotional day; yet, his kindness (along with a handful of other wonderful people) rescued us from being stranded in the refuge and made it possible for us to get home this evening! I've been using Discount for many years and ever once in a while I've had to deal with a sales tactic or two. But I just left this location off Dixie Drive where this little guy named Cameron who works outside came up with the craziest story yet of how I need to rotate out my tier with 80-85% of its tread because of how another tier caused it to get choppy. Then the story went on and on. I finally just told Him to stop with the stories, spin balance and rotate the tiers so I can get out of there. When my car was ready I asked the guy who gave me my key How long has that Con artist been working here. Apparently Cameron heard me and came running out the door and got in my face telling me that He has two kids and if my tier was to blow while driving down the road, I could hit His car hurting His kids. Guess my family don't matter. After trying to explain that I had slammed on my breaks the other day and ever since then it's driven like that but He wouldn't even keep His mouth closed long enough to hear me. I liked this location because they are never busy. Guess we know why now. Guys. If you send your wives to this location, make sure you warn them about Cameron. Lol read more
