About a month ago, I purchased 4 tire certificates for my Tesla through this location. Recently, I got nails in 2 of the tires and brought the vehicle in expecting help under the coverage I had just paid for. That's when I was told the rear tires "shouldn't have qualified" for certificates because the inner tread depth was apparently under 3/32. The employee helping us explained that Teslas are known for inner tire wear and even said he was surprised the tires had lasted as long as they did. What stood out most to me was that the manager openly admitted the certificates should not have been sold on those tires in the first place and acknowledged that a mistake had been made by the store. His response was essentially, "It shouldn't have happened, but this is where we are now." As a customer, that was extremely difficult to hear because I relied on their inspection, their approval process, and their recommendation when purchasing the certificates. I trusted that if coverage was being sold to me by Discount Tire employees, then the tires qualified at the time of purchase. Instead of feeling like the store was trying to take accountability for the admitted mistake, the conversation quickly turned into me needing to spend nearly $1,000 out of pocket on replacement tires. The most frustrating part is that I left with the nails still in my tires and no actual resolution whatsoever. Nothing was repaired, nothing was replaced, and the only option presented to me was paying for new tires out of pocket despite the store admitting the certificates should never have been sold that way to begin with. I understand policies exist, and I understand mistakes happen. What disappointed me was the lack of ownership after admitting the mistake was made by the store itself. I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable. I simply believed that if a customer purchases coverage in good faith based on the store's own inspection and approval, they should not be left carrying the financial burden when the store later admits those certificates never should have been sold. I truly hope corporate reviews this situation because no customer should walk away feeling like the protection they paid for only mattered until they actually needed to use it. read more

Set an appt for my truck to have tires rotated. Service was what I thought to be professional & courteous. Found that they dropped a screw that went to a lug cover & had to tell them to fish it out, rather than them doing so, as I had watched them drop it.... Tipped for the free service & was told my truck would still vibrate after tires being rotated due to uneven wear, which was why I took it in to begin with. Got home & looked at tires & found that they didn't even rotate, put the tires back where they pulled them from after balancing. What is the point in scheduling an appointment just to sit there for 40 minutes past your appointment time before they start on your car. Then just to have them tell you they changed the wrong TPS and instead of fixing it when they realized it. They pulled my car out, parked it and then came and told me they needed to change another one. All because there were 2 black Escalades being serviced and there was an apparent miscommunication. This is nothing more than lack of attention to detail and poor customer service. What should have been an in and out in less than an hour took 1 1/2 hours. Never again, after many years of business, games played by staff following I'm sure corp. instructions.........I'm done. I've been driving over 50 years and know when I need tires. I stated this will be the last rotate and balance, I've got 3/16" on my tires and will buy soon. I measured tread depth, they didn't. Two members of the staff gave me two different quotes for new tires as I waited. I finally saw a tech go to my vehicle 30 min. after my appointment and then return on foot back to the shop. He must of been flagged in before the second try at a sale. BS Discount Tire. A lady actually arrived after me, had all 4 tires replaced and left as I sat there another 30 min. One time even had to come in on a completely flat popped tire having to go 15 mph on 281 on the way over there. They took care of it as fast as they could and treated me with the most respect. the company website claims that they will maintain or repair TPMS. I called the Singing Oaks store to confirm they could program my tpms, and make an appointment. I was told just to drop in and they would troubleshoot/program my sensors for free! I was there at store opening, explained the issue with the sales person, and before I could finish talking he was shaking his head no, can't be done. Then I got the sales pitch for new tires. I declined and asked just to try and reset my sensors, and I got more sales pitch to buy tires, on a payment program, and "I'll make you a deal on sensors" If this salesperson would have attempted to get the program tool out and give an honest try to prove his point, he may have sold me some tires, when they are truly worn out to the wear indicators, . But, his lack of effort and interest to help me, gave me reason to wait until my tires are worn out, and buy them, and sensors (if needed) elsewhere. read more

I've bought many tires for many years from Discount Tire. I went to this one because it's closest to my house. I was met with an employee who decided to check the tread on all my tires and my windshield wipers. He then told me he found the nail (two inches inches in from the tread edge) and that it's "probably not repairable" due to the nails "location". He asked me to come inside the store to see what my options are. I said I'd like the tire repaired and he again said to come inside to see what my options are. I asked him to repair the tire and he said let's see what the options are. I asked him if he was going to patch the tire and he said he didn't know but he would check. This is a tire purchase gimmick/scam. Don't trust this Discount Tire. They are dishonest and will try to sell you all new tires when you dont need tires. read more

Came in to get a flat fixed I was ok with the initial time frame 1hr wait. Waited the hour notice truck still not in bay so went to talk to them they said oh two online appointments popped up and jumped a head of you on the waitlist. So now I have a 2 hour wait as long as no one else jumps I. Front of me. Funny how the ones that already paid have to wait but new customer get first priority. After waiting another 30 min they pulled in a different group of cars none mine. Complained again manager said it's a free service as he was walking away.... I've always thought Discount Tire was a great business and have used them many times on our family's five vehicles. Today, they proved themselves again. Professionalism, courtesy, respect, kindness and customer service.. that's what I got. A special recognition of the young man that represented them - Michael H. He embodied all their core values and made it so easy. We had a tire shred on us last night and we discovered our set of 4, purchased at this store 5 years ago.. had over 65,000 miles (Pirelli Scorpion). Wow.. I didn't realize we had gotten our money's worth out of them. Anyway. There were no appointments available online so I arrived early... when the store opened there were several folks waiting with me and the staff came out and started calling customers my name. Being a walk-in, I figured I would just wait and then ask to be helped. Michael called out the year and make of my car... !!! I thought. WHAT?!? How did he know.. well I don't know if the computer showed him I tried to schedule or if they look at the parking lot.. either way.. super impressed. From there he took me over to the car and just conducted himself so well. He expressed concern for my son who was driving when it shredded and went on to help identify and locate the best tires we could get for the car. The road hazard warrant got me 1 tire credit feee so that made it nice too. He apologized for time it took him to locate the tires on their warehouse and promised an aggressive turnaround which they did. When I make an appointment, I would like to have my vehicle serviced at the appointment time. Instead, the walk-ins are being seen before me. I know this because the front desk informed another customer of the long wait since there were 10 other customers waiting. When I asked about the 10 other customers, I was assured that those were walk-in customers and that my car would be taken in immediately. The place is virtually empty now since the walk-ins have all been taken care of and they finally took my car into an empty bay. This is why I dread coming here. I was not their first customer, but I got there as fast as I could. I made an appointment to get tires for our TrailBlazer and got there a few minutes before the appointment. After a short wait in line, I was greeted by a very helpful employee. I told him I had an appointment to get some new tires, went through some options, and picked what I wanted. Within minutes, they took the vehicle in and started the process. It went really fast and was ready to go in about 30 minutes. I had unfortunately gotten a flat one day last month and the very next day I was able to come here right when they opened without an appointment and within minutes had someone inspecting my tires and figuring out if we can salvage it. Unfortunately not. Next step, he brought me inside went over some tires/prices and he let me know it'll be done within an hour. They have great prices and awesome warranties should you get unlucky again. Staff was great and they even send an email reminder telling you to come get your free tire inspection with air fill up. I hate having to go to the tire shop...for any reason. For the I don't know how manyeth (is that a word?) time I got another nail in a tire. Why is it always the same one, the left rear? This was a new tire that I just replaced due to too many flats on the previous. I stopped at my usual Discount tire store and they were so busy it would be a 2.5 hour wait with 20 cars in front of me. No way was I going to sit there that long, I had no one to take me anywhere else to leave it there. My only option was to try the next nearest shop to my house a little farther out. I'm glad I did. They only had 2 cars in front of me. But the great thing were the people that worked there. They clearly enjoy their job, from Ubaldo, the manager to the guys in the shop that were clearly having a good time. Outstanding customer service and answered my questions fully and patiently. I pulled in 10:31 for a flat tire repair. They were not busy and had 3 open bays They tried to upsell me on a set of tires and when I said I'd just like to have the flat repaired they told me it be an hour to an hour and a half now with two empty bays and I was told I was first in line. The sales rep was an ass. They only want to sell tires. Not repair them. I purchased my last few sets of tires here but no more. read more

We have been using Discount Tire for decades and this location since it opened. Their customer service has always been the prime reason we keep coming back until now. We just spent $1100 on new tires for our 2019 Honda CRV. From the time I left Discount Tire on the short drive home, the tire pressure indicator light came on for a low tire. We have driven in this area for years without tire issues. When we took the car back in, they said they found a nail in the tire and patched it. Either we are very unlucky and hit a nail right after new tires installed on way home when never got one in recent past or they sold us a tire with problems. After fixing the tire, we asked options for getting a new tire and told we should have bought their warranty. Sounds like a scam. read more

I got a flat tire with my rental car and I immediately put the spare on and a few days later I went to discount tire at this location because it's near my job and I got their when they opened because I had work in an hour. As soon as they opened I was greeted by a worker immediately and they were able to temporarily fix my tire is less than 30 minutes!!! Not only did they fix my tire, but the people who were working on my car were contastly keeping me updated on what was going to happen and happened! I'm a firm believer that inevitably mistakes or accidents will happen. But the true worth of an establishment and a measure of management is how they are handled.
