Luckily for me, however, I was NOT wrong when I decided to give My Detail Guys a try. The first step was making an appointment, which was so very easy. I simply went to their website and clicked the link for making appointments. The website was easy to use, not overly busy or complicated, and walked me through the appointment-making process without a single problem. I even got confirmation e-mails regarding my appointment almost immediately after making it. I LOVE an organized business! Unfortunately, I did not get the names of the two gentlemen who showed up to detail our HHR, but they were promptly on time and were very polite and pleasant. Our driveway is very short, so they asked if I could move the car to the street in front rather than having their truck block our alleyway. I thought that was very considerate of them. You're probably asking, "But how was their work?" Quite frankly, my car has not looked that good since it was brand new. Believe me when I tell you that it was a MESS before these fine folks got to work. My husband drives the car to work every day, a round trip of approximately 80 miles a day. He has managed to spill sodas all over the seats and cup holders, another time a friend accidently dropped some chocolate chips while eating trail mix and they melted into the passenger seat. There were french fries lost in the depths, and a TON of dirt and mud from rainy days performing out at Scarborough Faire. It was NOT pretty, and the various French Fries of Doom had begun permeating the car with a horrid smell. Since the Husbeast had to go out of town for a business trip, I decided to surprise him with a pretty, clean car when he got back. The two fine gentlement cleaned EVERYTHING. They scrubbed the upholstery and managed to get almost all of the stains out of it. They cleaned the cup holders, the carpet, the gear shifter, the track the gear shifter works on, the vents, the dash...you name it, and it was gone over with cleaning solution and q-tips! The outside was washed and polished, and looks beautiful as it sparkles in the sun now. I suspect that I will probably get quite grumpy the first time something is spilled in there or mud splashes on the outside. I cannot recommend these folks more highly. I was more than happy to pay the trip charge for being outside their regular service zone ($25) for the quality of service that I received. Even with all of the work that they did and the trip charge and an extra $10 for the Odor Bomb (just in case), it still came in under $200 which is less than I would have paid if I'd taken it to a brick and mortar car detailing shop. I am already planning on putting money aside to have them come back and detail our other vehicle. If you're doubtful, don't be. Go ahead and have them come detail your vehicle. They are EXCELLENT!

While it sounds helpful, it does not address the fact that I reported the scratches immediately, was promised follow-up, and am still waiting for the matter to be resolved. Actions matter more than polished public comments. I reported the damage on 10/11/26 and I was told someone would contact me within 24 to 48 hours. No one did. Is that taking all claims seriously? I don't think so. On10/16 I called the number I was given and got no answer but only a recorded message saying that extension was not available. Is that taking all claims seriously ? I don't think so. After not being able to reach anyone by phone, I went to the location in person and was told by a very nice young woman, that the reason that none on got back to me is that they were trouble finding the video. She had also promised me a refund, which I did not get until I mentioned it again. In that email: " After reviewing the security footage from your visit, we observed that the scratches were already present on the hood prior to your vehicle entering the wash. In addition, the appearance and direction of the scratches are not consistent with the type of marks that can occur during the wash process. Per our terms and policies, Tommy's Express Car Wash does not accept responsibility for pre-existing damage. As a result, we must respectfully deny this claim. And then the email on 10/18 , A team member previously spoke with you regarding the marks observed on your vehicle's hood following your visit to Tommy's Express Car Wash. After a further review of the security footage, those marks were confirmed to be bird droppings. The video shows your vehicle exiting the wash with no scratches or damage present on the hood. The matter is considered closed based on the video evidence. I would like to know which was the lie? The claim that the scratches were preexisting or the claim the marks were bird poop? and the claim that upon exiting there was no scratches. Is that taking all claims seriously? I don't think so. I wonder how he determined the marks were bird poop even though this issue was the hood. The bird poop was on the back window and side passenger rear windows NOT ON THE HOOD? I wonder if maybe a bird took a shit on the windows and then hopped onto the hood and dragged his ass across the hood in a diagonal line? Another thing to contradicts the claim of no scratches is the fact that young lady took my report was very detailed and took several photos, I wonder how there can be these hood scratches as they claim? The second email came after a phone call from Roy Jennifer who told me the same lie about no scratches on exit and was aggressively rude and talked over me and yelling at me and hung up on me. Is that taking all claims seriously? I don't think so. BTW the young woman that I dealt with at the location was a perfect example of good customer service. Roy Jennifer exactly the opposite. So just know that if Tommy's damages your vehicle, as shown by the emails above they will lie about.
