I came Back to get the right one and dude asked me what happened to the first one and after telling him, he gave me the second one for free... no charge. And it was my mistake, not his. Hard not to respect that. I live downtown but this is our new shop.

I drove 15 min home for the stupid pen to not work then I had to drive all the way back to exchange it. Theeeeen I waited for the new pen to fully charge( since that was the issue, I was having with the other)... Come to find out there's no power to it and it's a shitty pen for the price. (And it wasn't one of the cheap ones either) so then I exchange it for a better one (so spent even more money) for him to only offer me like $.50 off and the 50 Cent for the card fee. Fine whatever I can get over that... I'm annoyed but it is what it is so I'm sitting there waiting for the new pen to charge again and I hear him use the restroom because the store is tiny and you could hear everything. I heard him turn on the faucet for literally two seconds (enough to get his hands wet) and turn off the water. When he came out of the bathroom, I knew he had to touch my pen since it was behind the counter so I said " not to be that person, but did you wash your hands because you're about to touch my pen" and he got so annoyed with me saying he washed his hands "look they're wet" and I said "I know I understand that but the water was just barely on" (and I literally can hear him start and finish peeing turn on the water and turn off the water all back to back ) And threw his annoyance he grabbed a glove and was basically like "fine I'll do this" which I actually really appreciated but I know that's not why he was doing it and I grabbed my pen and left. This place was convenient because it's right off the freeway, but I will never come back here again, such a crappy experience

So, starting from scratch as a novice again has been interesting as I am just getting jump started on different pipes, blends, types of pipe tobacco etc etc. It is always amazing for those who are experts to take the time with you and walk you down the path of what they know and about what you are trying to learn more about. I met Mark (one of the owners) today after stopping by while in town, he was amazing in helping me find the right blend, explaining the difference of a couple tobaccos and helping me learn a bit more. It made my experience even better and wish I had more time to hang out, pick his brain and honestly buy more than I did. I grabbed about 6-7 ounces of some amazing pipe tobacco blends that he took his time to take out, talk to me about and I can't wait to try them. I live about an hour away and I will make the drive to shop here directly in person. We're really happy with what we ordered and the selection...But, YIKES. the process to pick up our order was SO confusing. So I'm split at 3.5 stars? So I guess just be prepared with what you're walking into. We ordered the Whiskey of the Month special online, which they push pretty actively through social media and their website, so we figured this was their preferred method and we've been wanting to check them out for a while. Got the email order confirmation which didn't really contain much info other than our confirmation, order#, and the note that "your order is being processed". So fast forward a few days later and we never received a note to tell us that our order is ready, so, we decided to call. First call we did, they told us to call back at 3pm. Okay, fine. Gentleman on the phone didn't sound like he could speak English all that well so we would try again later. Called back and they said "we don't have your order." We insisted that we had ordered online and were told, "we'll call back in 5 mins." We never got a call. We called AGAIN and we're met with the same rude "we have your order. Come pick it up." We didn't provide a name, an order number...nothing! So we just decided to drive over and pick up. Gentleman at the counter was on the phone the entire time and really seemed to be bothered by us. We had placed two orders but he didn't really listen to us so took a while to get him to understand what we were saying. Again...we didn't give a name or order number. Just showed him our email which he barely looked at. It was just all a bit strange. I understand this is a small business and possibly family run so my recommendation is that they possibly try and update the messaging for their order confirmations or add somewhere online that "your order will be ready in X amount of days" or something like that so that your customers aren't left guessing when we can pick up, etc. This will save your staff from having answer calls and your customers won't be confused
