Cheese curd with no cheese. Cheese curd, more like bread curd.

Worst cheese curds I have ever had in my life. No cheese in them, they were just bread curds. Also all of our food was cold. Not worth the price.

    The best shots.

Came up to castle rock for my buddies bachelor party. Great time at the turtle. The bartenders at the outdoor bar were amazing. Good food and drinks were great. Recommend the bacardi buckets. Loved it so much we got turtle tattoos. Turtle Boys For Life!!!

    Kids enjoying the playset

The wings, drinks and atmosphere were great. The rest of the food - meh (specifically the salad: wilted spring mix with black pieces, I won't be making that mistake again). We were equally bummed with the fries and onion rings, I think they used to be beer battered and deliciously crispy several years back. Will we be back though? yes.. the kids loved the playset which was the perfect distraction while the adults enjoyed some drinks.

Spent the day on the lake yesterday which happens to be right outside. The tiki bar is probably my favorite part. It was super hot outside n I was hoping for some relief inside the bar with some AC, but no luck. It was still hot, luckily tho the bloody marys were delicious. A bit sweet tasting at first, but tasty none the less. I personally think the best part was the shrimp. I'd go back again considering drinks were cheap. They averaged at $3.50 Wayyyyy cheaper than back home.

When it comes to breakfast, I like mine simple and basic. Scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausage, bacon, English muffin or toast. There may be other offerings, but this is my go to/comfort zone. I at first wasn't going to get the buffet, but when I noticed how they made sure the offerings were always fresh and not just sitting on a warmers, I decided to give it a try. Everything was hot and fresh! The scrambled eggs were not lifeless and flat, for lack of better words they were fluffy. The hash browns were amazing too. I'm going to skip over to the breakfast sausages and bacon. Truly Amazing, the best I've ever had. I must admit that I did return to the buffet for an additional serving of both. It took much self control not to keep returning and continue grazing on sausage links and bacon. I would highly recommend the breakfast buffet and wish you luck on portion control.

We chose 5:00 on a Friday thinking they wouldn't be too busy yet, and there were plenty of tables available. My wife and I had the same thing, a glass of Malbec, the chopped salads, the pork shank with mashed potatoes and crispy Brussels sprouts, and the cast iron cookie with ice cream. Everything was delicious, and very plentiful. Service too was outstanding. Absolutely the finest restaurant in the Wisconsin Rapids area. We enjoy The Dirty Oar and the supper clubs, but Aldo's food is far superior.

You do get to try up to five tastings of your choice, which was nice since you can double up on a tasting if you really enjoy the taste. I'm not sure when this place was built, but everything felt clean & new and the seating was very comfortable. The menu had a nice variety of entrees, but we were definitely disappointed that they don't offer an appetizer selection for lunch. My husband ordered the jalapeño chicken flatbread and I went with the roasted vegetable risotto with grilled chicken. We both really enjoyed our dishes and did share so we didn't have food envy. It was really kind of them to offer us a complimentary dessert when they found out today was our 25th wedding anniversary; we selected the bread pudding and it was delicious!! Other than not having apps available on the lunch menu, our only other gripe was that it took forever to get our bill and pay.

We both had the two piece haddock, one with a baked potato and one with potato pancakes. Fish was great with what seemed to be a cracker and or cornmeal crust... very nice. You don't see home made potato pancakes on a lot of menus, it's a really nice change up. Btw the 2-piece fish fry was $9... there was also a three and four piece option as well as a Blue Gill and a couple of shrimp specials. I also had a small bowl of the house made clam chowder - wowza. The clam chowder often runs out by 5PM or so we were told. You've been warned! Also did I mention, clearly not yet, but the $5 old fashioneds - giant sized. One of the owners, Sue greeted us. What a gem in Mauston!…read more We're here for a baseball tournament, and I stopped in to grab a couple of sandwiches to throw in the cooler. I had the chicken salad, and it was absolutely delicious--unique, with a few surprise ingredients and a sweet chili drizzle that completely made it. I'll definitely be stealing that idea for my own chicken salad. I also ordered the smoked turkey cranberry hoagie for later. When I asked if it would be possible to have the bread on the side so it wouldn't get soggy, the team at the counter went above and beyond, individually wrapping all of the ingredients so I could put together a fresh sandwich for dinner. Such thoughtful customer service. I couldn't leave without trying the toffee pretzel cookie, and wow... it was to die for. I shared it with a few of the other team parents, and the first question was whether you sell them by the dozen! This will absolutely be a repeat stop every year for this tournament, and probably several times throughout our stay in Mauston. Great food, incredible customer service, a fresh produce stand in the back, and the cutest little shop filled with unique finds. Highly recommend!

I was disappointed that they wouldn't fill my water bottle with tap water but I enjoyed the bottled lemonade as a replacement. Good experience.
