It's a decently large class filled with lots of different people so it's easy to make friends with others and laugh along the way. After the class the band is ALWAYS amazing. Tons of people drinking, eating, and dancing. If you're a girl, be prepared to get asked to dance by a host of different fellas. Food and drinks are priced pretty typically for Roma, so nothing crazy there. The crowd is mostly regulars who just come to dance. When I went there were no dance classes or instructors, so if you're a beginner expecting a lesson, don't count on it. If you love salsa and want to dance non-stop, you'll have a great time. If you want to sit, chat, and have drinks, this probably isn't the spot for you.

It's a cool place, the staff are really helpful and friendly (even to those who don't speak a lot of Spanish..), and all of the bands we saw were a lot of fun. The nights we were there, it was ska core, oi, and some rocksteady. The bands play upstairs and there is seating downstairs, the music that was played downstairs was really good too, mostly just good ol' punk. (a host will most likely seat you) Pretty sure you need a reservation- we got lucky with some friends who set us up with one; the place was packed and the music was incredible. The craft cocktails menu is really big and diverse- I tried the Acid Butterfly with cold brew and tequila and it was absolutely delicious. We heard the Katsu chicken sandwich is delicious but we missed out because they ran out, so it must be. But the chicken burger I had was really flavorful and filling. The fries are tasty with a Cajun type seasoning. The spicy sauced edamame was a great starter. The ribs were decent (big portion) but more sweet than we prefer, could use some kick. The service was outstanding, despite how packed it was and how loud with the band on stage and even with the usual language barrier. This is such a great spot!

The food was bland and lacked any real flavor - nothing stood out. Service was the bigger issue: it took our server 10 minutes and two separate requests just to bring out a Sprite, and we had to ask multiple times for other drinks throughout the meal. She seemed more interested in chatting with two coworkers than attending to our table. Cool space, but the food and service need real work.

A shame that this was my first impression of Mexico City. She didn't even offer a receipt, just took my card swiped it and even had the audacity to ask for a tip. lol (mind you in a condescending way). Out of being gracious, I have a tip but I hope she learns that people bring business to their establishment and can easily take it away. What a disappointing experience. Who is her supervisor? Would love to speak with them directly about her behavior. She's rude and I hope no other person that tries to bring business to them is treated the same way. Would LOVE to speak to a supervisor about her.

I was captivated by the warm, eclectic ambiance--shelves stacked with old books, cozy little crannies, and fascinating antique items tucked into every corner. It felt like stepping into a hidden gem where every detail added to the charm. I ordered the As de Corazones, a gin-based cocktail with raspberry, egg white foam, and a spritz finish. It was hands-down the best cocktail I had in CDMX--beautifully balanced, slightly tart, and perfectly smooth. I also tried the Josita, which was incredibly refreshing (and deceptively strong!), making it the perfect drink to sip on while soaking in the atmosphere. Service was friendly and attentive, with bartenders who clearly know their craft. Whether you're a cocktail lover or just looking for a great spot to unwind, Pata Negra is a must-visit.
