Updating my review based on scheduling only due to a same day cancellation and subsequent no-show for my appointment. I planned to return to Dirty Dawgs since my primary groomer had limited holiday availability. I reached out to them on Yelp and then made an appointment via text. My appointment was canceled same day due to the groomer falling ill. No big deal I thought at the time! I reached out to reschedule via text which took the groomer multiple days to respond to and confirm. At this point I'm getting a bit frustrated because the groomer isn't responding within 24-48 hours to my questions or confirming my appointment that I selected. I call the shop to explain the lack of communication I am receiving from the groomer and ask for assistance. Ultimately the groomer finally texts me back and we land on a new date and time. I scheduled time off work and showed up to the shop to find it closed and the lights off. I called the shop and left a message and called and texted the groomer directly. I waited in the rain with my pup and watched him get wet and dirty. No one showed up. At this point I am pretty dissatisfied. Later that night the groomer texted me to say that there was a family emergency and this issue was not my fault. Although I'm not sure how you not showing up to an appointment would be my fault? There was an offer to give me $10 off my next service but given the investment of time to back and forth scheduling and a cancellation and no-show I don't feel comfortable returning. I don't like leaving reviews like this. Dirty Dawgs does great cuts but really dropped the ball on basic scheduling and I'm surprised the shop owner/manager never called me to make this right. read more

Shelby is the only human on this planet my English bulldog will let cut his nails and act like it's no big deal instead of the end of the world. She understands how important it is for brachycephalic breeds to not over heat or be on tight collars. My other baby has some separation anxiety but Shelby and everyone were able to groom her with some love and care and treats. I wish I could give this place a better review but I need to warn fellow dog parents. This review is for Mollie. I'm not sure about the quality of other groomers work: -My dog had clipper rash/razor burns on him. -my dog was very agitated and unhappy when I picked him up. He was VERY happy to see me and I could tell he didn't have a good time at the groomers. -he licked himself very aggressively for a few days. He was very itchy and uncomfortable. -Mollie did not give my dog the haircut we asked for. Simply missed the instructions. -Mollie is very friendly, responsive and pleasant to work with but unfortunately it's the quality of her work that needs improving. read more

We have been bringing our English Bulldog, Sherman, to Shelby for almost 2 years now. We took him to a couple other places before we found Dirty Dawgz and were never really satisfied with them. We brought him in here and never looked back! Bathing him at home is difficult as we only have a stand up shower and no tub, he's pretty big (65lbs), and he does NOT like when I blow dry him. On the flip side, he LOVES going to see Shelby! He gets so excited when I ask him "you wanna go see your friend Shelby the groomer!?" - it's adorable. We have been taking our Golden Retriever Louie to Shelby since he was a little pup and she and her team do an amazing job! I found this gem on a fluke while walking through Todos Santos on a Saturday. I walked in, set an appointment and brought my boys for a spa day. I've been looking for a groomer since the end of Covid. My previous one was amazing but retired. I never noticed this little boutique dog place until a few weeks ago. I have a welsh Corgi so I always do a double take when I see another corgi. I just so happened to see one happily walking into Dirty Dawgs and asked my friend about the shop who then recommended Nancy to me. Many places claim to do good jobs on corgis and that's not the case. We dropped molly off she was a bit annoyed. But that's her. When we picked her up she looked exactly as I had pictured in my head. First time getting our doodle groomed and it went really well! Our pup can be a bit timid at first and Shelby did a great job letting him sniff and explore the place and come to her. I love that when I came to pick him up he was hanging out while she started work on her next client and not shoved in a crate. Shelby did a fantastic job and was able to squeeze our pup in before we went on vacation. He looks amazing! We are very happy with how it turned out and she followed my couple requests exactly - I highly suggest you just let them do their thing as they are the professionals. I just showed a picture for the face (something I recommend) and told her how long we wanted his coat. Prices are very reasonable! It took a bit longer than expected for him to get finished, but that was because she helped us by squeezing us in. Overall a great first experience and we will be back. read more

I had used this pet groomers recently for naila and grooming for the pooch. They do not allow walk ins but they let you set up appointments via text. I had to text 2 different people most recently, but Nancy had acommodated me and made an appointment. I took ny Border terrier in and they were able to clip his nails, bathe , and give him a haircut. She was able to complete the process in 1 1/2 and I had some one else pick up my doggie. I was stuck in another appointment, but I was able to Ven mo Nancy and the grooming she did on my dog was spot on. I will come back and ask for Nancy since she did a fantastic job. read more
