used to love coming here! as of my last visits, it just looks like this place is getting worse and worse. came in on a sunday morning, not too busy but what made it seem like it was, was that half of their machines were down! half of their dryers weren't working or had missing glass on them. and the very little machines that were available were being taken up by staff doing the drop in laundry. there were WAIT LINES to dry. the workers are super nice and friendly but it just doesn't make up for the rest of it. there's no bathrooms for MONTHS, and when it finally works, there's no toilet paper and staff tells you to bring your own. lmaooooo read more

The manager treat the workers bad .. and her customer service is horrible . Besides that her workers are amazing !!

The only upside is that the dryers are free. But don't let that fool you, half of their machines don't work & their bathroom has been out of service for months! When I first started coming here, we didn't have these issues, but during my last visit I told myself this would be the last time coming. I only came here to wash my clothes because I was visiting family in Bakersfield. 1st issue I noticed was a lack of laundry carts. It wasn't that busy & the few carts that were there were already being used. 2nd was no employees when I arrived which was around 10:30 am so I was unable to buy any detergent from their little store, & to my disappointment there wasn't a vending machine option available either. I already put my quarters in my washer so I had to wait while my boyfriend found a store nearby to buy some detergent & dryer sheets. Lastly what frustrated me the most was how much difficulty I was having trying to figure out how to add extra time to my dryer machine during their "free dry" deal like everyone else around me was. Since there wasn't anyone there to ask for assistance I had to open/close my dryer door 3 times to restart each 12 minutes cycle to completely dry my clothes. I'm not sure what I was doing wrong since I was following the same instructions as everyone else. What I initially intended on being a quick laundry trip ended up taking much longer than it should've due to so many inconveniences. I didn't even bother folding my clothes here due to how humid & unventilated it was inside. Highly recommend doing your laundry elsewhere. read more

Multiple units to wash and dry. If you down load the app speed queen you have no need for coins as you can pay online. They have a feature if you wash you dry for free which is nice. The washers are heavy duty and are always in good standing. The place it mostly kept clean it is a laundromat and there are a lot of machines going to it does get hot. New laundromat in a great location off of Ming Ave across the street from the mall. I like the easy to use digital display washers. The fact that I am saving money drying because it's FREE is a nice bonus . They offer other services like the drop off laundry and you can buy your laundry supplies if needed. The price for washing is reasonable. The folding area has plenty of space by the dryers and they also have a nice sitting area while you wait. The only negative which is why I gave it four stars is that it is hot inside. I'm not sure if the A/C is working since it's still new but be prepared/mindful of the time you choose to visit. Other than that it's still worth a place to check out anyways. read more

Newer laundromat. Very clean. Free dryers when you wash. There is a coin changer or the option to pay via an app which is convenient if you choose not to carry a pocketful of quarters. I gave it 4 stars because it was hot and there appears to not have a cooling system. Maybe it was off? The neighborhood is not super great, but it's quite public which adds a little bit to the safety of the location. read more

My experience at Dirty bird was not a good one. I wanted to try this laundry mat out since it was recommended to me. I wanted to love this place so bad, since they have free dryers, a little store to buy laundry detergent & have laundry services that seem great. I immediately had issues, the first one being that many machines were down and we didn't notice until we had already put laundry detergent and our clothes in the washer. The washer machine wasn't taking quarters so we tried using the app, keep in mind I had the app already since I wash at a similar location with the same app. The app wasn't working on the washer machines, so I couldn't even wash using the app either. I had to go to the nearest store for cash, then when I came back I put my $20 in the quarter machine and it gave me back a couple nickels instead of quarters. The prices for washing were not the best either, other places I go to are cheaper than here. Also, there was only 3 laundry baskets that people were not even using but holding on to them, and had their laundry baskets in. A few washer machines were done washing, and people would be outside talking instead of taking their laundry out. The dryer is only 12 minutes and you have to keep restarting it, instead of putting more minutes to begin with. It took my sister and I literally 4 hours to complete our laundry, because of all the inconveniences we were experiencing. read more
