We needed to clean out a variety of items from my brother's basement, and luckily found the Minx In & Out contact information on the internet. I called, and had to leave a message, but included in the message about needing several items removed. I aded that we planned to go home tomorrow, and wondered if there was any way possible to get the items removed today. James called back later and said he would be there in about two hours. He had rearranged his schedule to accommodate my needs. I was totally thankful and impressed. He arrived on time, and worked like a Trojan removing two freezers, a washing machine, an apartment size gas range, and an unbelievable amount of other odds and ends. He was professional, friendly, and very efficient. I highly recommend James and his very valuable service. Phil T., Lancaster PA

Stellar! That's…read morehow I felt about the service I got from this company. Not only did they deliver above-and-beyond service, these guys assisted me in the late evening hours, impromptu mind you -- after they had worked their regular schedule all day. I simply cannot say enough about how fast they worked, how carefully they worked to tear down, transport, reconstruct and rearrange my furniture, plus assisting me with unrequested help once they assessed and pitied my situation. Who really shows that kind of human compassion in business today? And I have to add here, I got a clue about how genuine the entire team is when the owner begged that I not over-tax his guys who had worked all day already. While most business owners are unapologetic about straining their employees while trying to impress us consumers with how much they care for us -- Jeff did not mind protecting his employees. That initially revealed to me his genuine kindness for both his workers as well as clients. When his guys arrived in my time of need, they reflected this same spirit of goodness. I hope I don't have to move many more times in my life, but if I do -- I would give these guys my business over and over. I am only too glad to refer and reward such an outstanding company. They do business with heart! Thank you West Virginia Second Chance Moving :)

From Quote to Chaos -- A Masterclass in Unprofessionalism…read more From the moment we booked this move, the experience went downhill fast. They showed up late and left multiple pieces of our furniture -- along with many other items -- scratched and broken. We've barely begun unpacking and already worry about what else we'll discover. I didn't bother raising the damage because the owner's dismissive attitude made it clear it would lead nowhere. Then came the billing nightmare. He originally quoted us $6,000-$6,800, and we assumed the most we could be charged was $6,800. Instead, the so-called "final" bill came in at $10,420.52 -- and just when I thought the nightmare was over, the owner blindsided me on delivery with another $4,300 charge. Despite repeated requests, he refused to provide receipts for the materials he billed for, instead dodging the question or insinuating that his invoice was the receipt. When we questioned the new bill, he became openly hostile -- yelling and becoming belligerent in my own home, in front of my children. The delivery to my storage unit was a display of recklessness I'll never forget. When they opened the truck, an expensive drill press -- carelessly placed on top of other items -- was jutting out dangerously. Rather than secure it, they moved the truck with the door open while the owner tried to hold it. It began to fall, and he started screaming at his crew to help. After unloading it, he continued berating them in public. While still at the storage unit, he told us there would need to be another delivery. When I simply asked when the truck would be there, the confrontation escalated instantly -- the owner began yelling at me and then got in his own employee's face, shouting at him as well. In the middle of this, he made the disgusting accusation that I had faked a trip to the ER during a very real and serious medical emergency, and even taunted me, saying he "knew" I would cause him problems from the start. This was not an honest mistake or an isolated bad day -- it was a pattern of recklessness, overcharging, evasiveness, and outright unprofessionalism from start to finish. If you value your possessions, your budget, and your peace of mind, avoid this company at all costs.

The first time was over a year ago--they came to the rescue and fixed an issue that others couldn't. The second time, my home warranty company sent a contractor who tried to charge thousands for electrical work. Thankfully, I still had their card from the first job, so I called them again. Once more, they came through--doing the job right and within what the home warranty would actually cover. This is an honest company that does great work. The only downside is that they're hard to get a hold of and prioritize jobs based on urgency. But if you can get them to take your job--do it! Totally worth it. They didn't! They wiped it up, but it had so much cleaner on it the floor was streaked and sticky. Now for some advise. In the beginning I was quoted a price.
