Tyler leonard sent me billing information about reimbursing my money.. September 5th and it never showed up back in my account. He refuses to take my calls or return my emails. So I definitely wouldn't recommend this company or ndassesments they work together and neither one refunded my money so there's got to be money problems. I was tasked with completing a SAP to return to duty for work in 2020 Directions counseling got me in quickly and helped with navigating getting back to work. 4 years later an issue arose with my return to duty paperwork and the team here immediately returned my calls and gave me all the support needed to get these issues cleared. Where do I start? This place is a joke!! A very expensive joke!! Rude office staff and wishy washy counselors!! We started our kiddo here, did all required paperwork, did the intake 'interview' and they claimed kiddo needed to be seen weekly and the hours offered always required us to take her out of school early. During the course of this time frame I had conversations briefly with her 'counselor' and she would say things in passing and when I referred back to what she had mentioned at a later date ( following week) she looked like she hadn't a clue as to what I was referring to, this happened several times. Very weird behavior and it felt odd. I let it go and as the time went on I noticed little things here and there that was odd and really not helpful with why we were there. After all those weeks, my child seem to think she was just going there to talk to this woman about video games and the latest movie she had seen.... Like what?? At no time did this counselor ever give me updates or any notion on how things were going. At this point the school is asking why she's being taken out early one day every week and she's struggling to make up the work she's missing from leaving early for the appointment. We've had her in counseling in the past but it was bi weekly so them claiming she needed weekly sessions became suspect. Everything came to a head when the counselor submitted every claim session at once and insurance denied it, then they got very ugly and mean. We had no clue that the ex had changed insurance in September and we certainly never knew that they waited until they had $1,000's of claims before submitting them to insurance. Once we were made aware they didn't give us time to contact the other parent who has to carry the insurance and get it straightened out, instead they demanded that we pay the full amount owed and going forward the whole office visit up front every week we came in! We tried to explain that we had no clue as to why the insurance would have issues, especially since the counseling center is the one who double checked our kiddo was covered even before she had her first session and #2, why would anyone wait and submit 8 -10 weeks worth of claims all at once? #3. It's the holidays, we can't come up with all of this money, can we please have time to investigate this and figure this out to ensure you get paid because we definitely don't have all of this $$ to pay out of pocket, instead they tried to take payments from a card I had on file that I had to replace because it was compromised but my bank notified me of their unauthorized attempt. #4. We got lectured on personal finance and personal responsibility.... Gee thanks, we're already trying to fix this and get it paid and we definitely didn't need the holier than thou attitude and speech!! Yes, we know your 'counselors' need paid! We have never said or thought differently, but to come at us like this wasn't necessary, acting like we were committing fraud and being demeaning and belittling was so uncalled for! So unprofessional and very cruel!! Everyone is struggling in this economy and trust and believe me when I say we never expected or planned for something horrible like this to happen but to be treated like garbage because we couldn't pay up fast enough is totally unacceptable!! I hope none of you ever come across a crisis in your life and get treated the way we were! read more

I started seeing Brian back in the 90s for depression, anger management, and help with men's issues. I and my family continued to see him and others at Directions as our family dealt with issues such as older child adoption, the autism spectrum, and depression. We learned coping mechanisms that we and our children continue to use now that they are adults. We've referred a lot of people to Directions from church and other settings, as they provided us very high quality counseling with a strong spiritual component to it. read more
