This is THE wife. ( yes we both have his strange sense of humor.) I did not enjoy writing this, but I actually timed Mark to see how long he worked on my hair. He told me many times he hates washing hair so if he hates washing hair, I wash my hair first.
The up shot was he spent 3 1/2 minutes cutting my hair. Good news is I did not get a scalp infection.
Since he's the owner, and I have already tipped him more than he should have gotten every single time we both went to his shop, we tipped him absolutely nothing. He is the owner and one does not usually tip the owner.
I had even shown him a picture of exactly what I wanted from a previous great and talented haircutter. Even though he shoved the phone in front of my face asking me to select did I want to tip him 10% 15% 20% or 25%.( something like that) That's as much as I care to remember.
Bummer.
I don't think either of us can go back. You spray my clean hair down with wet water and then you spend 3 1/2 minutes on my hair? There's no way anyone can get a decent haircut in 3 1/2 minutes and there was no one else waiting. He refuses to make appointments so I call him up. I am a few minutes away and by the time I get there, he is chatting and cutting someone else's hair.
So aggravating. I told him about the scalp infection so he's probably very angry about that but he's the one that gave it to me. Told him this years ago. Yet, if you wanna hold onto it, be our guest : are you sure you're not one of our relatives?
If keep your comb in BARBICIDE, then drop it on the bacteria and virus filled floor and use it to comb my hair events not desired will inevitably happen. He just doesn't wanna hear it.
He has an old barbers chair that is not adjustable. I know this entire world was built for men. The average man is something like 5 foot 10? I am not 5 foot 10.
Even if I'm sitting for 3 1/2 minutes with my feet dangling in the air, it hurts my back even more. It's very hard for me to remain civil when my back hurts that much. It's exhausting.
So yes, we're very picky, yet we cannot believe the lowering of standards by almost everyone! We have a theory about this. Probably, nobody wants to hear it, but we're going to write it anyway.
When the average people see the top people in the government acting and behaving like complete criminals somehow they think that gives the average person meaning you and I permission to act like these top officials. We could not disagree more.
If you have no moral compass, or it can be this easily turned, then you never really had a moral compass. Watch out for the propaganda. We know we're making enemies, but we're also making friends and as we always say, we care about other people and we don't just care about American lives because everyone's lives are important.

I think we left Mark a $30 tip the first time we went to see him when he was charging $15 for a haircut, or something along those lines.
He was going home to Australia, so that's 100% tip not a 10% tip. He kept saying I need money.
OK buddy here you go. Do you think you remember anything nice about us? No. Yep we did not expect anything from him so we were not disappointed. We were only disappointed when we started getting infections in our scalp.
That is out of control. Then 3 1/2 minute haircuts is out of control.
Then he got all his friends to jump on our necks online to disagree with everything we said that's fine. It used to be a free country and we used to have freedom of speech.
So all that is fine with us OK?
We've done every crummy job you can think of. We have way too much empathy/sympathy, but you are beating it out of us world.
