The menu is exstensive and caters for most tastes, for the inexperienced Indian diner the menu items are starred according to strength. There is a well stocked bar with Cobra on draught an excellent accompaniment to the meal. The service is a shade slow but well worth the wait for the superb tasting dishes. I sampled three starters and three main courses and could find no fault with any of them. The portions were very generous leaving no room for a sweet. The bill was not excessive for the great food friendly staff and great food. Even the crockery and cutlery are unusual with different shaped plates for each course. Overall one of the best in the area

We had a bottle of decent Wine, two starters, two mains, a couple of sides and all for about £20. Unbelievable value. Now, to be honest I am the type of Chap that would rather pay an extra couple of quid for a bit more quality, but I would have gladly paid a lot more for the food that I had tonight. It was spot on.

Well I visited this restaurant tonight and was very disappointed…read more I arrived around 6:45 and I was the only person in the restaurant but having not read anything bad review wise though I would try it . I ordered chicken Pakora for starters and when it arrived it was severely lacking with 4 small pieces offered up on a saucer , I could have easily mistaken it for a substitute pickle tray. My main course I ordered was Chicken Masala , when it came it was a chicken tikka masala with dry chicken and very bland, the chapatti was very flowery and the nan was passable. The waiter asked me how my meal was before I left and I gave him a polite honest answer. Safe to say I will not be returning in future.

Which I always like to see in train stations, that they haven't come under the thumb of the Starbucks monopoly: "land on green, you must pay £40 for a giant coffee that we don't pay tax on") I was greeted by *the* friendliest older chap, and I mean, even friendlier than your standard Geordie, I was only in there for 3 or 4 minutes grabbing between changes, but we got talking about the holiday I was about to go off on and his friends who lived over there without any effort. Everything was really reasonably priced, and such a good range of choice for those with awkward dietary requirements (sorry guys, it is awkward) I grabbed a vegan berry cheesecake, scattered with pistachios and coconut shavings, tempted by the vivid purple and green, paid up, and was handed a spoon without having to ask, and headed to my platform, past the little area you can sit outside there. It was then I realised gor much my little desert looked like play dough, so slightly fearful when I tried it, it was lovely. A little oily, which I've grown to expect from Paleo products, but so tasty. And, being a vegan one, I could pretend it wasn't entirely bad for me too! Huzzah!

Good way to eat clean on the go - there aren't normally enough veggies in takeaway meals from grocery stores, so this place fills a needed gap.
