Dr Hunter is an excellent dermatologist. I have been a patient of hers for years, so has my son. We both were given great care and compassion. read more

Removed 2 skins cancers and was left with terrible sores. Called the office and was told to contact my insurance company which is Medicare! Would not recommend to anyone! No bedside manners. read more

First of all, I have never ever written a review for a service provider but I felt obligated for this one. I took my child 3 times to Dr. Hunter. First two times we waited over 1 1/2hrs to see her for maybe 20 mins combined. Third time we got the first available, we still waited 45 mins. During this time multiple customers went in and out of the other Dr's office (shared office location), some getting there 20mins after us. I asked multiple times what was going on. At first, the receptionist said they were busy even though there were zero folks in the lobby when we got there, zero called back while we waited and zero came out. After pushing the issue and stating I was leaving, she said they were delayed due to cleaning the rooms.....who does that in morning when you have patients everyday? Finally called back, not a single cleaning person to be found nor any other patients. Again, visit took 10 minutes and got a script for a test at another facility. Decided to go to another Dr and upon their review, Dr. Hunter didn't get all the paperwork completed so the lab tests we did previously weren't any good. Have to do them over again and out roughly $300. If I could give a Zero Star, I would. If you like sitting in waiting rooms, this is the place for you. read more

Dr. Dina Hunter is the best! Went to 4 different dermatologist and she is the dermatologist that finally helped me with my eczema!

Radiation Necrosis from the treatment for squamous I received last summer. The SRT radiation apparently was very harsh. I have been a patient at the Wound Center [Prisma] since May and now continuing HBOT [hyperbaric oxygen treatment]. So far, I've had 35. The wounds are in a perfect circle deliniating the tubes used for radiation. The blood vessels beneath are all dead and we are trying to revive them. Various ointments, antibiotics and an overnight stay in hospital to get two bags of vancomycin to relieve the painful rash surrounding the wound before I found Dr. Cone @ the Prisma Wound Center. My primary physician was no help either..just oohs and aahs and another antibiotic. I have had this ongoing adventure since March 2, 2022 from treatment last summer that ended in August, 2021. Apparently, this horror can show up after a few months or even several years into the future. Now that we almost have the right leg ready for a biologic skin graft, the left leg is starting the same M.O. Frankly, if I'd known all this could have occurred, I would have opted for another cut and stitch from my other dermatologist whose office did not offer this radiation option. My wounds were so close to the bone that I thought this would be a better choice. WRONG! Do not get this radiation SRT. It can be a heartbreaker and a painful one at that. read more

Dina Hunter, MD - radiation necrosis as finally diagnosed May 15 by Wound Center - Dermatologists Near Me - Columbia, South Carolina

I was appalled at the lack of courtesy, respect of my time and communication that I received from Dr Hunter- which was exactly what everyone warned me about. (Terrible bedside manner, will make you wait over an hour, etc). Unfortunately I didn't listen, but I will not return. She gave me a GASH under my eye to remove a tiny red dot she said was a buster blood vessel- she gave me NO instructions on after care, told me NOTHING about what to expect- 2 weeks later and I'm afraid I will have an ugly scar right under my eye AND a $$$ bill for 7 minutes of her time- I'm just sick by all of this. So many better dermatologists that will give you better care and advice than here. I hated to right a bad review but now I'm not even worried about my name being on it. read more

I patronized this practice some years ago and ended up with Dr. Grice, at the suggestion of the receptionist there, because the doctor I wanted to see was booked. Mistake. Now, I know that receptionist referral is likely Dr. Grice's only means of acquiring any patients at all. This woman actually asked what my other dermatologist diagnosed for the skin condition I presented. She didn't know WHAT was wrong with me. After having read these similar reviews, I no longer take my experience with Dr. Grice personally. She is horrible with everyone, it seems. read more

My son was diagnosed with ringworm and received a treatment from his pediatrician. Ringworm then appeared on my hand. I went to Dr Hunter for a diagnosis and cream. I gave her the information about being In contact with my son's ringworm. She looked at my hand, cut a piece of skin, stitched it up, and charged me for surgery. She then diagnosed it as eczema and gave me a steroid cream. Needless to say, the steroid cream made what was actually ringworm much worse. I went back a week later. By that point, the ringworm, fueled by the steroid cream she prescribed, had spread beyond my hand to my neck, chest, and back. She changed her diagnosis and gave me a cream for ringworm. My hand is now scarred from her pulling skin from the area and stitching up an area infected with ringworm. I echo what everyone has said about her cold bedside manner. Avoid this doctor. read more

It is astonishing to me that Dr. Hunter (formerly Dr. Grice) is still in practice for two reasons: 1). She clearly does not enjoy seeing patients; she is devoid of a bedside manner 2). She is incompetent. She repeatedly failed to diagnose a growing area of squamous cell cancer on my face. I eventually left her practice and went to another Dr, who immediately diagnosed the cancer on my face on the first visit. Note similar posts here. You can't deliver excellent patient care when you swiftly move people through your office like cattle, and don't give a flip about them and their health. read more

I was very pleased with my experience with Dr Grice Hunter. She was very helpful in solving my skin problem. If she can't figure it out she will recommend another Dermatologist. I don't understand all the negative reviews. I really appreciate what she did for me! read more

I went to see this doctor because I had strange spots/plaques on various parts of my body. Her nurse/assistant looked at a few of them and was very nice. The doctor then came in, told me I had "psoriasis or eczema," didn't bother looking at a single spot, wrote me a prescription, and walked out. That was after I had waited well over an hour past my appointment time. When I got home that evening, I had a panicked voicemail from her office telling me NOT to use the cream that she wrote me because it would cause serious damage to certain areas where I had plaques. Candidly, I'm surprised they even caught this mistake since the doctor didn't bother looking at a SINGLE spot on my body. I am also very pale with a family history of skin cancer, and Dr. Grice showed zero interest in checking my skin. I went to a new dermatologist last month and had a completely different experience. She spent at least 45 minutes with me, did a whole body check, wrote me prescriptions that are SO much more effective, and helped me develop a skincare routine to make sure to take good care of my skin. Really, really disappointed with Dr. Grice. Her bedside manner was absolutely awful, she didn't even look at my skin, and she seemed wholly uninterested in me. I wouldn't recommend my worst enemy go see her. Honestly, she should lose her medical license based on the consistently awful reviews on here. read more

I spent 6 months and hundreds of dollars to be misdiagnosed repeatedly. Save your time and money. Go elsewhere!!

This woman needs to re-choose her career....a career far away from people. She did not even diagnose me. She asked what my former dermatologist's opinion was. Needless to say, I will never go back to Dr. Grice. When a friend of mine called their office for an appointment with another dermo, they said that he wouldn't be in that day, and would she consider taking an appointment with Dr. Grice instead. Wow! They can't GIVE away appointments with her. read more

Well, I was going to have my first appointment with Dr. Hunter tomorrow but after reading nothing but negative things about her I think I will be seeking treatment some where else. I want A doctor with a bedside manor and personality, I mean for crying out loud we are already nervous, embarrassed and uncomfortable. Thanks everyone for the reviews. read more

Dr. Hunter was absolutely beautiful. She was very direct and helped my child with multiple issues. Most doctors would make you make several appointments for multiple issues, not Dr. Hunter. She addressed all at one time. She is fantastic! Highly recommend. read more

No bedside manner at all! I wasn't comfortable with her at all and I felt like she was only talking to her assistances about me rather then talking to me. She wanted to do a procedure without even explaining anything to me and I did not allow her because I was so uncomfortable. She then looked at me like I was stupid said ok and just walked out of the room. I have no confidence that she even knows what she is doing and I felt like she was only trying to get me to do the procedure so she could make money. The only positive was how nice the staff was. The assistance that was in the room was so sweet and actually took the time to explain the procedure after the doctor left so abruptly. The staff in the front was great and informative as well. Dr. Grice needs to take a lesson from her staff on how to talk to patients. Oh yea last negative is I had to wait an hour from my appointment time and she was only the room for 10 mins top. I wasted an hour out of my day and $40. I will not be returning and have already made an appointment with a better reviewed doctor in the area. I wish her staff only the best for the unfortunate situation of having to work for such a terrible doctor. read more

Avoid! Didn't seem to care when I told her that the marks on my body she wanted to remove have been there since birth and are unchanged. Then, she spent less than 5 minutes doing what my insurance calls "surgery" on me. I'm not confident that the other five minutes she checked my body for cancer were worth my time. Will be going to another dermatologist to get checked because I have no confidence in her. Further, she failed to mention that the "procedures" she did on me would cost almost $500! She spent less than 10 minutes with me and I walked away less wealthy, annoyed, and needing to go to the dermatologist (i.e., a better one!). Complete waste of time and money! read more

Worst doctor ever. Cold not helpful. Spends no actual time diagnosing you. Just in and out in three minutes and bills the insurance. Don't go here! read more

NEVER go to this Dr. I have spent way too much time with her. She is rude and has absolutely no bedside manner. When discussing dermatologists with my primary and telling her I had been to Dr. Hunter, (Grice when I saw her), she gave me a look as if to say 'don't go back'. She is completely right! She spends minutes with a patient and once when I had a punch biopsy done I winced and she basically told me that didn't hurt. Whatever, she will get no more of my business. read more

I can only repeat what the other reviewers have said. Dr. Grice pretty much ignored everything I asked and didn't answer any of my questions. read more

I wish I did my research on this practice prior to going here. First, the 3 times we have had an appointment, we wait a full hour before being seen and then she spends only a few minutes seeing us. Second, when I had a follow-up question I left a message requesting that the doctor return my call. Instead the nurse calls which in my opinion, isn't a good best practice. She seemed to stumble on her answers and when I asked how best to avoid waiting an hour to be seen, she was extremely defensive. She said 'you never know what's going to happen in a dermatologist's office so we always tell our patients to allot an hour for their appointment." Really? This wasn't communicated when I made the first appointment. I responded that it isn't acceptable to make your patients wait an hour every time to which she argued, "We do not MAKE our patients wait." The lack of customer service is just unbelievable to me - why would I return? read more

Thought I might have been the only one that had a bad experience. My girlfriend booked both of us appointments at this office. I have had problems with my skin due to ingrown hairs for a long time. My family doctor diagnosed this as folliculitis years ago and it is pretty obvious considering I only get bumps on my skin in places where hair grows. I take medication to keep it under control but I wanted to visit a dermatologist to see if there was anyway I could completely stop the problem or get rid of the dark marks the bumps had left on my face. Dr. Grice walked in the room looked at my face and said "this is acne and not ingrown hairs I'll prescribe you some medication" and walked out. She was literally in the room 30 seconds at most. She said it so quickly and confidently I believed it for a second but as soon as she was out of the room I wanted to call her back and say you can't be serious. But I didn't I told myself that she was the doctor so I would take her advice. So of course I bought the somewhat expensive creams for my "acne" that I used for months until they ran out Obviously they did not do anything so I just went back to what I was doing before and did not even bother scheduling an appointment to go back. Good luck! read more
