After the initial consult we realized our old documents were completely inadequate, and decided to revoke the old trust and have Margaret develop a new suite of documents to replace them (new living trust, power of attorney, will, etc). She walked through each document in detail so we fully understood what was contained in them. It was absolutely worth the time and effort, and we are now very satisfied and much more confident in the new legal documents. We also know we can rely on Margaret for future guidance. Note that she is not the cheapest lawyer out there, but keep in mind the old axiom "you get what you pay for".

Margaret contacted them all and either eradicated them or negotiated a settlement for a much reduced amount. She walked me through the entire process...explaining everything...I couldn't have chose a better lawyer by my side. I highly highly reccomend The Law Office of Margaret Szymansky!!!

The lack of professional courtesy, customer service, and proper business practices at this law office makes it mind-boggling to me that they not only have such a high rating, but are in business at all. My first interaction with the team, specifically Chris, was very pleasant and encouraging. This was the interaction that made me decide on this firm to help me with my immigration needs. In the very beginning, I couldn't have been more pleased. There were many encouraging interactions and quick responses. However, after I paid the initial $6000...the phone calls started to become mostly ignored, the emails were mostly ignored, and the frustration started mounting. On the rare occasion that I did get to speak to someone at the desk, they were frustrated to be answering the phone and couldn't have sounded more put-off to just be speaking to me. Finally, after what seemed an eternity, we moved to the second stage (and second set of fees) of our visa application (after the petition approval). This is where things really went south. When I went to pay the Thousands of dollars more that they quoted me to have them help with the forms (to get us documentarily approved through the National Visa Center), they DOUBLED the fee. Not exaggerating...Doubled it! I fought. I was told "Prices have changed since we started". Still i fought back, saying that this was ridicules, and unfair, that I had a quote. The response to that was "He must have quoted you wrong". I couldn't believe that a law firm would take advantage of me and my family like that. After a LOT of deliberation my wife and I decided to pay the Grossly engorged fee. What else could we do? It had already taken WAY more time than we had been told in the beginning, and we needed to get this done. After that, it was the same story as the first time. Once payment had been made, my emails and calls went mostly unanswered. Finally we got our interview. My email about uploading a few extra forms went ignored. As such, when I was there at the consulate for our interview, they told me that we didn't have all of our forms uploaded. Thankfully, they gave me till the end of the day to upload it myself. I would give less than one star if I could, and I would suggest that you VERY much consider a different law office for your immigration needs. As for the fee? I'd say get it in writing, but I had that and they still ignored it. This will forever be the Worst part of my experience immigrating to the United States.

Not only is he an extremely competent attorney he is one of the very few trustworthy ones. I solicited his services when I had a scrupulous tenant with a bottom feeder attorney trying to extort 10 grand from me for things like missing light bulbs and window coverings that didn't meet their liking. I was in a bind because my first attorney David Lewin was completely incompetent and left me scrambling to find a new attorney. The abridged version of the 3 year ordeal is he put together such a well documented and brilliant defense in the end the judge made them drop the case and walk away. Because I was so happy with his services I used him again for a different condo and didn't trust the attorneys the board hired for the building sale. My decision was confirmed when he found several missed items by their attorneys and saved the owners thousands in closing costs. My condo manager was so impressed with his work she took his information for any future legal matters. I recommend Mr. Michalakos with the highest praises and will continue to work with him in the future.

(We have known them for over 20 years, and we felt bad that we couldn't help them financially). Embarrassed about the whole situation, they asked if we knew anybody that could help them or help them find bankruptcy lawyers (long ago I used to work at an attorney's office, so I made some phone calls). I was referred to Michael Worwag and passed on the information to our friends. To make this short and to the point, we researched their website (http://www.worwagmalyszlaw.com) and found that they help with filing bankruptcy (whether it's chapter 7 or chapter 13). The four of us (we accompanied our friends for moral support) went and met with Michael Worwag and Joanna Malysz. They were very informative and helpful and based on our friends' finances and expenses they Mike was able to tell them if they (our friends) qualified to file bankruptcy. They were NOT pushy. They also have two locations, one on the south side of Chicago, and the other on the north side. And lastly, our friends reported that they were able to resolve their troubles and they received professional service and helpful advice. They were very courteous to us as well. Hopefully, we will never have to use their services. :) Our friends (and us) have recommended the Worwag Law Office to others.
