It's a bit weird that Dimmey's became such a Victorian icon. I mean, it's basically a Lowes which never quite made it into national franchising. That said, there is something a little impressive about their lack of artistry. The Richmond store's the physical equivalent of one of those late night ads which are just a guy shouting "doors! doors! doors!".
It's tacky, it's cheap, and it's not trying to sell you anything beyond what it's actually charging you for. read more
