Here you'll find: Freedom Furniture (massive must be full range store) the Good Guys (massive store), Nick Scali Furniture (massive), Spotlight (massive store with plenty of stock), Dan Murphys, Beacon Lighting, Adairs...you get the idea. Every store here is massive. Fashion wise, I reckon they do stock, apart from last seasons threads, current season too (hello Industrie?) which I suppose caters to all manner of taste and seasonal needs. Heck, grab some summer Quickie Rippie t- shirts in winter for summer and you're all set for what's coming next. The DFO complex is huge and there's two mid-sized food courts and a few cafes dotted throughout the place. This DFO has one main entrance and exit unlike the other DFOs which makes it less confusing to navigate a mammoth complex. Look at the map as you enter and then either go clockwise or anti-clockwise works both ways. Restrooms are in alleys between the shops just look above for the navigation signage. Plus points are tenants seem to be clustered together according to type of merchandise i.e. kitchenalia and dining are next to each other, homewares and decor, professional workwear labels are beside each other, streetwear and surf labels etc. Makes for good price checks and comparisons. Ample parking, and walking a little bit won't necessarily kill you. Just watch out for cars reversing in and out. That can get pretty hairy. Service is pretty good from almost all the shops i went into, considering its a bargain depot of sorts. Some of them were really helpful too. DFO is one of those places you can never leave without getting something anything.

Their shop owner also designs for Mollini, so you can find a range of their shoes here too. I can't say they're made locally though based on the 'Made in China' label on the sole of my new boots! The range is good and the shoes are good quality, making this a tempting stop-in when grocery shopping.

It is easy to find what you need, and if your stuck or a bit tight for time; the staff help you out real quick. I was impressed to also buy a new pair of slick Asics running shoes for only $90 (instead of $150) which was fantastic and a blessing in disguise for losing my other running shoes at the gym, and this was a Tuesday afternoon after work (while I was still a suit): great service, and thankfully a new pair of shoes in time for body pump and body attack on the trot (addicted maniac I know) that same evening, as if nothing had ever happened. I particularly love the clogs and 50s style hourglass dresses. Unfortunately it isn't every day I can afford the full priced items at the stores so I if there's an item that I think may be around for a while, I'll usually wait until it hits the outlet in Bridge Road. This store always has sales going on, when I went a couple of days ago it was 'take a further 20% off shoes and accessories', no wonder the store was packed. Inside you'll find a jumble of clothes and accessories while the shoes can mostly be seen in the front window. The sales assistants are lovely and really talkative, however when the store gets busy they are usually trying to manage the crowd. It can get a little claustrophobic at times if there's too many shoppers so either hold your own and keep browsing or duck outside for some air.

Danger danger!!…read more Abort abort! ALIENS APPROACHING!!! Okay, so there's no aliens but your wallet is in serious danger of being assaulted here. This is one of my favourite Gorman stores in Melbourne. The range is pretty much the same as everywhere else but it stands out as one of the better ones for a few good reasons. 1 - it's big, with a huge change room area that feels a little more discreet at the back of the store, meaning you can come in and out of the change room and strut your stuff in front of the mirror. 2 - it seems to attract a really fun clientele who are all happy to comment on each others outfits and give advice and compliments whilst doing said strutting. 3 - the staff! They are my main reason for coming to the Windsor store. I love that they remember me, know what shapes suit my body and love playing dress up with me. Lucy and Julia are terrific and are exactly the kind of sales assistant you want - they always ask what I "need" in my wardrobe and are great at suggesting I try different combinations and things "just for fun" rather than with a focus on having me spend more than I intend to. Love love love.

The designs and colours suit almost anyone, from the younger crowd to the more mature of us ladies! Featuring lots of bold colours and prints, some daring moves also, like patterned ankle socks with clog type heels... would not suit me, but if you can get away with it, do it for sure. Their pieces are fairly pricey but they are absolute classics and will be staples in your fashion collection for years to come. There is nothing not to love. When my friend and I went in, we were greeted by very friendly and helpful staff who were happy to go above an beyond in finding an outfit that we would be happy with. Pulling out belts from here, socks and shoes from there... etc. You'll soon be addicted, too! x
