We live in Salem and will drive to Fairfield for Pizza here., even though we have 3 good pizza places here, DiMaggio's in Fairfield is by far our favorite. We usually try to get there for early dinner. We've noticed that it will fill up by around 5. We only have had pizza when we go there, someday we will branch out into pasta. The sauce they use has a sweet flavor to it. Good toppings, just the right amount of sauce and cheese zing good crust make it great! The pasta does look good as do the sandwiches. I've noticed they have a beef manhattan, which seems odd for an Italian place. The restaurant is nice inside, clean. Bright and well decorated. We've always had good service too. We think the Fairfield location is much better than Flora. I guess they are either owned or managed by different people. read more

DiMaggios is a great place to visit in Fairfield. We ordered the 1/2lb breadsticks as an appetizer. It's 4 breadsticks but it sounds like it would be a lot. It's really not. The breadsticks were really good. We got the Alfredo sauce in addition to the pizza sauce it comes with. The Alfredo sauce was pretty good but we enjoyed the pizza sauce more. The pizza sauce is a sweeter type of tomato sauce. It was really good with the breadsticks but I personally prefer a more traditional sauce. It wasn't bad at all though and if I lived in Fairfield, DiMaggios would absolutely be the place for pizza. The staff was super friendly and everything was very clean. I would recommend DiMaggios to others and I would love to come back and try other things on the menu. read more

Of course pizza is my favorite menu item, but no matter what you try, you won't be disappointed! We love to visit local restaurants when we travel, so when we were visiting Fairfield, IL we heard that DiMaggios's Pizza was the place to go. We are so glad that we listened, because it was AWESOME! We tried the Mediterranean Salad. I usually do not pick salads with fruit in them, but because this salad was recommended by so many I had to try it. It was amazing!! All of the flavors just went together so well. I would get this salad again and again. We also tried the Caprese Pizza. This was one of there summer pizza flavors. The pizza dough was just the perfect thickness and it complimented the toppings perfectly. The balsamic drizzle was really a yummy touch. We also tried the Homemade lasagna. The sauce is so delicate and comforting. Dipping the breadsticks in it- just so good. I would totally recommend that you go by and enjoy a meal at DiMaggio's. Pretty good pizza. I tried the thin crust and sauce is on the sweet side. Toppings were generous. I also tried the toasted ravioli. The dipping sauce was delicious and the ravs were pretty good. Servers are polite. Place is clean. Kitchen send to be a slow to get the orders out. Mine took 20 minutes or so. Definitely a good meal. read more

Pizza prices are reasonable on pick ups. Dining in is kind of pricey but the service is good. Salads are also expensive and you don't get one with an entre. The food is also very good! read more

We were driving up from Garden of the Gods and happened by this place with zero expectations. We ordered a Super Deluxe Family size to go. The pie was ready in 15 minutes and we were planning to eat it as we drove. We didn't make it out of the parking lot before we devoured 90%. It was just so good that we had to eat our fill before heading out. Outstanding crunchy crust, fresh ingredients, sweet and tangy tomato sauce. Impeccable service. We fed a family of six for just $30. That's not much more than what it takes for a McD's family outing. This place is an amazing pizza joint that needs to get more recognition. read more

I came to this place while visiting friends in Fairfield. It's there go-to place for just about everything. It's a small place, with friendly customers (who'll probably all be interested in who you are-- its a small town!), and friendly wait-staff. The pizza we had was very good, unexpectedly so, since I'm so used to the places up North (yes, we Chicagoan's are Northerners to them). It was similar to Rosati's thin crust if you're familiar with that. read more

I have grown up on Dimaggios pizza and I love it. I have eaten it since they first opened the restaurant in Carmi IL. I am often in Carmi and Fairfield so order take out from there all the time. Over the years their pizza sauce has gotten sweeter and sweeter until I can't eat the sauce anymore so I order my pizzas without the sauce. Yes it's so good even without the sauce! It would be really nice if they offered a pizza sauce option that isn't so sweet. That way people who love it the way it is will still be happy but those of us who can't have or don't like that many sugars will be happy too. The toppings they offer are full of flavor and delicious. I love the thin crispy crust. Because they are so popular, no matter the location, they can be extremely busy on the weekends. But frankly, it's so good that I don't mind waiting. I always order the super deluxe and it's heavenly! My sister always gets extra cheese pizza with green olives. read more
