Have been driving past the restaurant for years, and it didn't look like much from the outside. Came here for a small work party, 6 of us celebrating the end of a project. My colleague is a big fan and swears by the place... and I am so glad we went here.
On arrival, we were greeted by friendly staff and the owner (I think). Our table was a nice round table at the far end of the restaurant. We were promptly offered a dine in special offer for groups. £11.99 for any starter and any main course from the menu.. seemed to be good value as some of the main courses and starters generally appear to total over £15.
The menu itself is very extensive... takes a while to take it all in. Hidden away in the menu are the usual culprits Korma, Dansaks etc. Fortunately we all opted for the more unique dishes the menu was promoting.
I opted for the Sesame King Prawn starter ( I forgot the indian name), was very nice, one of my colleague went for the seabass starter, which looked divine and he was very impressed to say the least - think I may go it myself.
For my main course, I went for the Tandoori Salmon. Again another great dish, the salmon was grilled beautifully and the sauce that accompanied it went very well with the Salmon. One of our party ordered a Lamb Shank dish, which he was very happy with.
Overall this night out was great and we came out expecting a "curry" with the lads - and ending up receiving and great meal by any standards and a great night out. The special offer makes this a superb place, great value for money and somewhere I would definitely visit again.
Interior décor is very plain, not old, but nothing special so that's why I have dropped a star.. sorry guys.
If you are looking for more than the standard Indian food, would definitely recommend.
Try the Salmon or SeaBass starter if you do manage to pop in. read more
