We used Hillcrest when My Moma passed last week, as we did when my Daddy passed 21 months ago…read more This group of people are the most compassionate and hard working people that I have dealt with during a time of grief. CB Dunson, is top notch!!! He was so compassionate to use when Daddy died and even got a picture of a beagle put on Daddy's vault lid and for Moma's he had her dog put on her's plus a great picture that the funeral home used of Moma put on hers. At the grave, he remembered us telling him that Daddy had said if Moma died first he was burying the phone with her, so he put little phones on Moma's name thing that directed people to the grave and then afterwards, he remembered me telling him that Moma was the church prayer chain, it started with her when someone needed prayer and he had little prayer line cards made up in memory of her. Its the little things that they listen to and take action on that make them such a great group of people. I am at the grave alot and not once have they not waved or stopped to speak to me. I would recommend this group to anyone to take care of your loved ones, they don't come any better than CB and his crew. Thanks so much for all you all did for us during our time of grief

They were told this from the beginning by me specifically. However, his girlfriend still wanted a large urn. No problem. Two days before I am to leave to go pick his ashes up we start having some concerns about making sure they understand that the urn is to have a very small amount. Like the amount you would put in a mini urn (again I specifically told them this and that we had concerns that there may be some funny stuff on certain people's parts. I was ASSURED a majority of his ashes would be packaged for spreading and that very little would go in the urn... when I got there and inquired about exactly how much was in the urn, ainwas told it was full! And that only a small amount had been left to scatter. Somehow (I have my guesses) wires got SERIOUSLY crossed here and I had to stand outside for over an hour while they're packaged my Father's cremains. Yes - I said repackaged. And while I did get an apology from the girl who was there that day, no one else has even bothered to see if I was okay, let alone apologize. And to top it off, they wouldn't even let me take the urn with me once they did repackaged all. They said his girlfriend would need to come pick it up. Even though I am his next of kin, even though I am the one they dealt with (with the exception of signing for them tontake the body and picking out her urn), and even though I am the one who paid for it.
